This was the new restaurant of the week and a bookmark that I checked off. The place is obviously a…read morerepurposed restaurant because it was two dining rooms with a bar and a fire place in the smaller dining room. The colors were tame and not all the bright colors like some Mexican restaurants. The tables and chairs were out of place because they had a country look to them. My server was super friendly and very nice for a very young woman. I was served chips and salsa while waiting for my strawberry margarita. The chips were warm and fresh but not seasoned. The salsa looked horrible because it was a purée but to my surprise it was the most flavorful part of my lunch with a nice garlic flavor. The strawberry margarita was above average because it had booze in it and a deep strawberry flavor that screamed strawberry, thank you. With only my order in the kitchen my food came very quick, the place was empty. I ordered the combination plate with a first for me, chicken in Mexican food for some reason. I had a ground beef taco, chicken enchilada and al pastor tostada with rice/beans. Although the food was good it was Americanized, bland and not seasoned. All the meats were moist I must say. I got the impression that they were cooking for the elderly population in Muskego. Overall if authentic Mexican food is not what your looking for and tame Americanized is your preference than this is the place for you.

The fresh salsa and warm chips are a great starter, but I also suggest the fresh guacamole! The interior has been freshened up a bit, and offers ample seating in two dining rooms. There's a bar up front as well. The restaurant is always clean inside and out, as are the restrooms. There's a generous amount of parking and easy access off of Janesville Road. I'm a big fan. For the past several months I've been able to try a variety of dishes and have yet to be disappointed. Meat options are chicken, beef and pork. My money is on the pork every time. It's cooked so perfectly with a little bit of char... perfect! I wish I could recommend a specific dish, but so far I've loved everything equally. Please, stop on in for some delicious and authentic Mexican food!

We have been here a couple of times and we have never been disappointed with the food. As an added bonus, the breakfast items are available all day! We ordered the meat lovers skillet which was too much to finish even after not eating much all day and the steak chimichanga dinner which I could only eat half of. The food was flavorful and delicious. Our service was also great making sure our drinks were never empty and bringing chips and salsa refills when the basket was empty.

The service is really quick typically unless they get backed up with a lot of people there at once, this typically only happens on Tuesdays because everyone is there for the Taco Tuesday special. The fish was overcooked, rubbery andthe taco had only one peice of fish, which wasnt a big deal, but it was a fairly small on peice. The beans were decent but the rice lacked any kind of flavor. The establishment was on the warmer side. Not sure why they kept it pretty warm in the summer. Overall, this spot needs to work on a few things. Maybe dinner is better, who knows.

Came here for lunch with a friend who really raves about this place…read more Food: The menu is very extensive. It includes many standard Mexican dishes along with several house specialties. You get free chips and salsa to start. The chips were good. The salsa had decent flavor but was very thin. You had to scoop it up quickly before it ran off the chip and onto the table or into your lap. I ordered an appetizer of guacamole. Unfortunately, it was basically a bowl of smashed avocado, and that's exactly how it tasted. Very little seasoning and not much flavor. In hindsight, I should have ordered the Guacamole Mexicano, which includes the ingredients that I consider essential for guacamole. For my entree, I ordered a combo plate with a tamale and a chile relleno. It came out very quickly. The presentation was not great. It looked like the items were placed on the plate and then smothered with sauce and cheese. The flavors were underwhelming. The masa on the tamale was not very moist and crumbled when cut. The beef filling itself was tasty, but there wasn't much of it. My friend ordered the Burrito Acapulco and really enjoyed it. Service: Service was good, but not especially attentive. Our server got tied up somewhere, and we ended up asking another server to take our order for the guacamole. Atmosphere: The restaurant is large and has plenty of seating for different size groups. The space is colorful, with bright green painted walls. There is a bar along the back wall, with a couple of TVs suspended from the ceiling. The overall design is fairly typical of many Mexican restaurants. There were only a few other tables occupied, so it was relatively quiet. I'm not sure if I would come back. If I did, I would definitely try something different than a standard combo entree.

Pros: -Great food…read more-Good service -Reasonable Prices Cons: -Can sometimes be loud -House salsas are a little bland Being a SoCal transplant I was mourning the loss of authentic Mexican food. But WI has surprised me again in a great way! There is some really good Mexican food her and Fiesta Cancun is in that group. My wife and I have been here several times solo as well as with several larger and smaller groups and have always enjoyed ourselves. I think that all Mexican food needs a benchmark dish, and for me that is an Asada burrito...and the one here is great (especially suisas style --covered in cheese). My wife almost always orders the chicken enchiladas with green sauce and loves them. We have also tried the chicken quesadilla, which is great. The salsas could use a little work, but the chips are always fresh and satisfyingly salty. The servers are nice and prompt and do a great job here as well. This would really be a 4.5 star review, but it can get really loud (not patrons, the mariachi music that they sometimes have...but this might be a pro for some).

Service was slow with two tables in service and my server never came back to check in on me so I had to get him for a box and the check, I also had to walk my money over to him and he still got a 41% tip for some reason from me ????. I need to learn to tip accordingly instead of me being me. I ordered the combination dinner with one ground beef enchilada, one Al pastor taco and a ground beef tostada. The chips and salsa was decent with thick fresh corn chips, not warm by the way. The salsa was a purée style with good flavor and a mild heat finish but served in a tiny bowl that lasted 1/3 of the chips before it was gone. The dinner comes with beans and rice. The beans were good and seasoned nicely. The rice was cooked perfectly and not mushy but bland like most Mexican restaurants but anyone who follows my reviews knows that my fix is to mix the beans and rice and top with the salsa but I didn't have very much salsa this time. The ground beef enchilada was topped with red sauce/cheese with moist ground beef. The al pastor taco was topped with fresh cilantro/onion and good but not very saucy with moist pork. The ground beef tostada was basically topped with lettuce, tomato and cheese with that moist ground beef. Overall it was Milwaukee area average Mexican food with an authentic salsa to their own which was the tastiest part of the dish but it's a solid place with fresh food.

I absolutely enjoyed the tacos (with cilantro and onions). I also ordered some corn / elote, and it was very delicious - every spoonful was a balanced blend of corn, mayo, cheese, lime. I loved that it was not super sugary (because I've had flavored margaritas before that were undesirably sweet, not enjoyable). I can tell the place is popular because the dining area progressively got packed from the time we got there to when we left.
