With my 56th birthday approaching, I wanted to bring that tradition back. However, my bike was not in good shape. The repair shop went above and beyond to clean my bike, replace broken parts, and restore it to its former glory. Yesterday, I rode 56 miles from Vienna to Purcellville and back. I truly appreciate the staff for helping me bring back this tradition and reminding me how much I love riding the trail! Thank you so much!

Immediate Attention Required - Customer Treatment at Fairfax Location…read more I'm reaching out to bring a serious issue to your attention regarding your Fairfax location. I recently visited the store at the start of the spring season--typically a great time for cycling and community engagement. My intent was simple: get air in my bike tires. My initial interaction with a staff member was excellent--welcoming, helpful, and exactly what you'd expect from a community-focused business. That experience changed completely when your service manager became involved. The interaction quickly escalated into behavior that was demeaning, hostile, and completely unprofessional. I was spoken to in a way that was both disrespectful and humiliating--something I can honestly say I have never experienced in my 64 years. More concerning, I was told I was not welcome in the store. Let me be direct: that is not a customer service issue--that is a leadership issue. This individual represents your brand in the local community, and based on this interaction, does so in the worst possible way. Behavior like this doesn't just impact one customer--it erodes trust, damages your reputation, and pushes business away from what should be a community anchor. I also want to highlight the contrast: your frontline employee created a positive, welcoming experience. That tells me the culture at the ground level has potential--but it is being undermined by management behavior that is completely out of alignment. I am asking for two things: A review of this incident and the conduct of the service manager Clear confirmation of how you intend to address this moving forward I would strongly encourage you to take this seriously. Experiences like this don't stay isolated--they get shared, and they influence where people choose to spend their money. I look forward to your response. --Mark E

After some more back and forth, they switched out the bike for a larger one. Second, the saddle bags on my bike were not cleaned out before my rental - there were empty air cans, a chapstick and trash in the saddle bag. Last, and most offensive - while on my ride, I had an issue where the bike chain cover kept coming loose and the pedal would get caught on it mid rotation causing me to stop suddenly. I completed the ride and when I returned the bike, I mentioned it to the owner Mr. Robert Esti. He indicated that I may have done something to the part as it did not start out like that. I explained that nothing happened and it seemed to be spontaneous. He was rude, dismissive and did not address my concerns. For such a large price tag for rentals, this was not a good value for the experience - combined with the rude demeanor of Mr Esti- I recommend not using this location or the new location in Herndon.

I had been less than enthusiastic since our last tandem bike jaunt in DC left me ragged and looking forward to the end. We rented a tandem bike from a known rental in DC; the bike was rickety and took effort even on the completely flat route we were on. My GF found Pedego and opted for the tandem electric bike. This was a 180 degree experience from the other rental company jn DC. The owner was friendly, attentive, enthusiastic and really made us feel welcome. He knows his bikes gave us a quick run down that made us feel comfortable. The bikes are impeccabley maintained and he's thought of everything including helmets, storage pouch, bike lock, flat tire kit etc. He was even extremely well versed on the route to Mt. Vernon. Every pointer he gave us was spot on. We made it to Mt. Vernon and enjoyed food, history, and culture.
