So in Cleveland if you have aluminum rims at some point you're going to start leaking and my daughter has a pretty good track record of not telling me when the check engine light's on or when the TPMS sensor is illuminated. I was able to fill her tires the other night as I got cold and a air loss is pretty much normal when the weather changes. When I started her car up this morning she lost 10 lb overnight which of course is not normal. While I was able to get her car from school and get it serviced I haven't had any Tire service done in this neck of the woods I normally go up to Painesville or mentor. My normal tire shop that I go to it's almost a guaranteed wait of half a day. However I wanted to roll the dice and try the first result that came up in my search and that was the shop. Most places are pretty darn busy nowadays but they tend to make room for folks that need help with flat repair. I called them and they got me right in and I was able to walk across the street to get a cup of coffee and a sandwich while I waited. Total time was about 45 minutes which wasn't bad at all and while I did not have any nails in my tire I did have bead leak due to corrosion in the aluminum. Sadly this is a reality of where we live however this shop was kind polite and got me in in very short notice. The total cost for the mountain balance grinding the bead and resealing it was $37 which is ridiculously cheap. Thank you so much for providing a great service at a great value. read more

Nearly 200 dollars to mount, balance and dispose of 4 tires!! I've been a long time customer with multiple vehicles being brought here. It's also important to note, you do not get an itemized bill. It's 150 labor. My thoughts are because they charge the customers extra to bring your own tires. I get it they sell tires there. But nearly 200 out the door! Insane. They are busy (good sign of community support), they stick to their schedule, and they do not "add extra work" to "pad the bill." Regarding tire purchase, they give you multiple options, allowing you to make the choice regarding cost and value. Regarding oil changes, they are quick and cost-effective compared to other places. Wow! Talk about incredible customer service!! I didnt have an appointment. But, was able to walk in because there was a nail in my tire and the pressure was going fast. So, I stopped in and told them what had happened and within 5 minutes, they bad my CRV up in the lift and the tire off. Sadly, it couldn't ve repaired. But, they had my type of tires in stick and replaced it!! All of this took 25 minutes!! The staff was so friendly, the place was super clean and the prices were affordable! I would like to commend the entire staff employed at Consumer Tire store located in Chardon, Ohio. I have a few vintage vehicles that I have purchased tires for from this enterprise and the employees are very knowledgeable about the automobiles they service. This month they replaced steering components, installed new tires, wheels and did a four wheel alignment on a twenty-nine year old Mercedes 300E which has a very intricate designed rear suspension. We re told nothing is perfect in the is world. James who did the alignment with help from Dave made this automobile "perfect". Further Saith naught. read more

People seem to like this place. I guess if you like being slapped it's the place for you. The 1st time I went here was for brakes on my truck. I told the mechanic a caliper may be bad. He said they don't go bad at 36000 miles. Long story short. Brakes fried up in 5000 miles. The second time I went for tires on my suv. I was going on vacation and taking this car. They were going to replace the belt at 30000 miles but didn't have one. They got all dramatic and said the car shouldn't be driven out of state. I called Honda and they just laughed. Guess what? The belt is still on the car at 130000 miles. The third time I got a quote on tires. I went in and said you quoted me 700.00 for tires. The woman at the desk said that's not including all the repairs were going to find on the car. I said your not allowed to do any repairs. The fourth time I called and a mechanic answered the phone. I asked if they would use a heavier weight oil as the car was beginning to burn the OW 20 weight oil. The mechanic began to yell at me saying they could only put in what the manufacturer recommended. Guess what. No one else has a problem with this. So. I gave them a shot and was patient. Never again. read more
