We purchased our home knowing it would need extensive remodels, and we were admittedly nervous after hearing so many horror stories about planning hold-ups and unreliable contractors. We did our homework, researched over 8 companies, and met with 5. The moment we met Moshe, we knew he was the right person for us. He was the right price, had the right temperament, the right balance of speed and detail orientation, and most importantly, he listened to what we wanted. While other contractors tried to push us into their vision, Moshe respected ours and guided us with smart advice that improved the design for real-life living. It was truly the perfect match. From day one, Moshe was on top of everything. He always had a team on site, and they worked tirelessly through what was no small project: three bathrooms, moving the laundry room, relocating the kitchen, laundry and 2 bedrooms, installing new structural supports, moving multiple windows, moving a slider door and so much more. We even made changes along the way, and he accommodated seamlessly. Incredibly, all of this was completed in just three months, fully permitted and signed off by the city. The quality speaks for itself. Every wall, cabinet, and tile is perfectly placed. During our walkthrough, we nitpicked small things, but Moshe was already ahead of us, pointing them out himself and immediately bringing in his team to perfect the final touches. He also gave us the "Moshe Guarantee": if anything comes up in the months or years ahead, just call and he'll send someone out. That level of pride and accountability is rare. What impressed us just as much was the caliber of his entire team. Every single person Moshe brought onto our property was kind, respectful, and excellent at their craft, from Miguel the electrician to Victor, who built out our wardrobe, hung shutters, and took care of countless details. It was clear that Moshe surrounds himself with true professionals. I truly cannot recommend Moshe and Construction Masters highly enough. They turned a daunting remodel into a smooth, exciting process, and the results exceeded our expectations. We will only ever use Construction Masters in the future, and we recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone looking for quality work and peace of mind. read more

We worked with Moshe and Construction Masters on refining a plan and building a construction quote for a garage project. Moshe was timely, polite, honest & clear and a pleasure to work with when it came to ideating, breaking down details, and cost-quoting the project. Moshe provided great ideas and feedback along the way, working to keep to our ideal budget. I look forward to more opportunities to work with him and Construction Masters in the future. read more

I had a great experience working with Construction Masters. The communication was excellent and my project was completed in a timely manner, despite the busy holiday season. Moshe and the team helped me with project suggestions and made sure the work done was completed to my expectations. Very happy with the whole process and would definitely hire in the future. read more

It was great working with Moshe and his crews, who was incredibly communicative throughout the process (way more than most contractors I've worked with). The guys that Moshe hired - for a multi-tiered kitchen renovation - were equally thoughtful and kind, and Moshe himself came out most mornings to check in on the progress. Appreciated both the work done and the creative suggestions from everyone involved. And last but not least, never felt like I was getting the raw end of a deal, all the prices felt fair and commiserate with what research/bids I'd gotten from elsewhere. Would certainly hire Moshe and his team again. read more

My wife and I had an great experience working with Moshe and his team at Construction Masters. We needed electrical, plumbing, demolition, flooring, patching, & painting done for our home projects. Moshe was very responsive from the beginning and provided us guidance with our projects. The team was always punctual, made sure we were happy with the progress & final result, and everything was done very professionally. We are very happy with how everything turned out. If you are looking for any small or large projects, look no further. We highly recommend Construction Masters. Thank you again Moshe & the Construction Masters team! read more

I just wrapped up a full condo remodel in Sherman Oaks with Mickey Cohen and his Construction Masters teams and they nailed it. Mickey was very communicative and always kept me in the loop. Great quality of work. They kept the place clean during construction, didn't damage the structure at all, and made the remodel super easy on me. The neighbors didn't have any complaints either which was great. Definitely recommend giving these guys a call for at least a quote. read more

Construction Master, Moshe & Mickey, are Simply The Best! Unlike some other contractors out there, Construction Masters came in on time and on budget. Its truly unbelievable! From start to finish, Moshe and Mickey have been FANTASTIC! Yes, we had issues.......that's normal in any older house, but Moshe and Mickey always remained calm and handled everything for me. My house has been completely renovated and it looks amazing! I can not thank you enough Construction Masters! I will tell everyone about you and if I ever do another remodel, you'll be the first ones I call! read more

Absolutely poor customer service and coordination. We had an appointment scheduled 12pm and we were here the entire time. He didn't show up and when we called at 12:15pm he was on the freeway. He called and texted us and received a response from one of our numbers. He didn't make the effort to "open" the gate where he would of met any of the family members either outside or by the front door. I asked if he would turn around since the appointment time is an hour-block. He said "no I am in the middle of the freeway and we have to reschedule". Even though the customer service representative said the appointment would be between 1-1.5 hours. They just lost business to customers who are ready to start ADU build asap. *if you look at the ratings on google there have not been any recent ones posted read more

I have dealt with 2 construction companies before but I was so impressed with Construction Masters. They are now my to go company. I asked Moshe to remove the wet bar, change the wood flooring and painting and his team did an exceptional job- they kept the place clean and always on time. Moshe is on top of his game with a caring attitude and doesn't believe in cutting corners. The price is affordable for someone like me who is on a fixed budget. I will surely recommend Construction Masters to my friends and family. read more

Moshe, the owner of Construction Masters is either lying or simply stupid when he argues that he doesn't know me and never did the awful work on my bathroom shower. He did do the work and I explained that to him when I initially wrote the review months ago. Also, the company name and logo on his invoice matches that of Construction Masters' logo on their website! Moreover, why is he disputing my review now after I spoke with him immediately after I posted the review? Could it be that he thinks I'll forget to respond to his denials since months have passed since my review? You can either believe me or take his word. But I stand by my review and he should be avoided! He's incompetent and a liar. read more

I had a very good experience working with Moshe. He completed the job on time, he kept me posted throughout the process, and it was always easy to reach him. He is also a kind, enthusiastic person, and diligent person. I appreciated very much that when the process with the permits got slow, Moshe ran the extra mile to make things more expedite. I think you will enjoy working with Moshe. In fact, I recently hired him for a second remodel, and I look forward to writing about that experience as well. read more

Moshe did a fantastic job on our garage conversion / ADU project in Pasadena. The quality of work was high, the pricing was reasonable, and the project came in on schedule. If there was ever an issue, Moshe worked with us to come to a fair and reasonable solution. What impressed me most was Moshe's communication, which is not always the case with a contractor - he is very responsive and proactive. The sub-contractors he used were generally very good and kept a clean and quiet work site, which we appreciated with a newborn. Overall the project exceeded our high expectations! We would use Moshe for any future projects on our home. read more

We didn't want to find our contractor online, but are sure glad we did. Moshe is prepared, professional and delivered results on budget and AHEAD of schedule. My wife and I bought a fixer and desperately needed a contractor. Moshe showed up at the first meeting with the inspection report printed out and reassured us "this is easy... you have nothing to worry about." He was right. His crew started on time and over the course of a month and a half averaged three workers on site for 5-6 days a week. Our scope included a full bathroom remodel, new floors, painting, electrical, moisture remediation, roofing work, and siding. We would gladly work with him again and have already referred friends to him. read more

I recently had the pleasure of working with Construction Masters for building out a couple of studios and expanding some offices in our commercial building, and I cannot express how impressed I am with the exceptional quality of work. I reached out to a few different contractors who all came to our building for a walk through. Moshe from Construction Masters was the only one who came in with an electrician and asked detailed questions that the others did not. He seemed very thorough in his approach. He was also the only one willing to work on such a short timeline, as we needed the studios up and running before the new year. I was quite nervous before the start because of the deadline, but once the work started, his crew worked FAST, while still maintaining high quality. Such pros! If you're ever looking to do some work on your home, or commercial building, look no further. Moshe and his crew will get you what you need. read more

After getting 3 estimates from A-rated contractors, I chose Construction Masters because of the owner, Moshe. He is personable, professional and ethical, and his pricing was reasonable. He provided me with a detailed estimate and schedule. All in all, he finished the project according to schedule...taking into consideration we made a few changes to the project. What I appreciated most about Moshe is his responsiveness and open communication. He always returned calls in a timely manner and explained everything thoroughly. He accommodated a few changes I wanted to make after we started the job, and was good at creative problem solving whenever it was needed. He was always respectful and was careful to minimize the disruption and dust during construction. I couldn't have had a better experience and would recommend Construction Masters anytime. Description of work: I had a complete kitchen remodel, which included converting my 1960's galley kitchen into a modern, open floorpan. This required removing a load bearing wall and reinforcing the foundation to create a "peninsula" with a professional oven/cooktop and hood which opened up into the adjacent dinning room. New cabinetry, appliances, tile flooring, backsplash and countertops were installed throughout. We also tore out a water heater and the existing pantry, and added a window to create a lovely breakfast nook that overlooked our garden. We replaced the large water heater with a tankless one that is more efficient. We also took extra space from an adjoining laundry room/pantry to create a sleek, minimalist 1/2 bath that featured a floating wall-mounted vanity with a marble counter top and vessel sink, and a decorative tile backsplash that extended to the ceiling. We added new tile flooring and a Toto high efficiency toilet. I also decided to install the same toilet in my other 2 bathrooms. read more

After interviewing 5 different contractors to handle the remodeling of 3 bathrooms we settled on Construction Masters, and we absolutely made the right choice! We got a detailed bid and they stuck to it. There were no big surprises, and all 3 bathrooms look fabulous. All of the workers were polite, conscientious, hard workers, and they all did excellent work. Moshe is a total pro, and I man of high character, who quickly addressed the few minor issues we raised. We would use Moshe and Mickey again in a heartbeat, and we plan on being repeat customers. Highly recommended! read more

Let me start off by saying Moshe and Mickey are EXCEPTIONAL contractors. I will never use another contractor again. Very professional, efficient, punctual and affordable. We started by overhauling our kitchen (drywall, flooring, countertops, custom cabinets, paint, etc), but after seeing their amazing work, they did our laundry room, family room, and bathroom. All high-end custom cabinets, appliances and fixtures. Their attention to detail and thoroughness was superb. Not to mention they streamlined everything. Never once did we have to wait for anything. Everything was done on time and on schedule. They not only achieved the results I wanted, but exceeded my expectations. Hard to find responsible, friendly contractors these days. HIGHLY recommend Moshe and Mickey! read more

NO PARKING, NO SERVICE/POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I am writing this review immediately following an attempt to have this company come to my office to provide me an estimate on improvement work. First of all, my original appointment was set for last week and they had to reschedule for the following week. That was not a problem. So the appointment was rescheduled for 2pm today. The person who was supposed to come out to provide the quote called me at 1pm asking where to park. I explained to him that we are in an office building in downtown LA that does not offer parking. I also explained this to Jess (office person) over the phone when making the appointment. So I suggested viable parking options to this person (nearby garages and lots), however, he immediately told me that if he could not park at the building, then he could not provide me the quote. WHAT!?! Am I to assume that nobody in this company has ever worked in (or even visited) downtown LA before? Parking is atrocious. Parking is rarely ideal, but if they truly wanted my business, they would have paid for parking to perform the walk through. Sounds like an excuse to be cheap and not pay for parking. I schedule appointments for contractors/vendors at my building all of the time and this is the first time a contractor actually told me "if I can't park at your building, then I cannot make it to the appointment". I explained that IF they were to win the bid for work that there would be an available loading dock and freight access for the construction vehicles, but that option was not available at this time for the estimate. I was told to find someone else to do the work in a rude dismissive manner. WARNING: IF YOU ARE IN DOWNTOWN LA AND LOOKING TO HAVE CONTRACT MASTERS DO WORK, BE SURE YOU HAVE A NICE PARKING SPOT RESERVED WITH THEIR NAME ON IT OR ELSE YOU WON'T BE HELPED. They have wasted my time by scheduling a person to come out and then cancelling. Jess in the office was no help either. When I called to speak with her to ask why I was so quickly dismissed for my appointment, she confirmed what her field guy said about the parking situation. I wish that I could write a review of their actual work as opposed to their inability to make it to the estimate appointment. read more

Started a major renovation project with a different contractor originally. The first contractor left us high and dry with the bare bones of the house and much of the renovation in a state of major disrepair - a third of the project, if that, was completed. Referred by a civil engineering friend that had worked with Construction Masters in the past, Moshe and his team came in and were extremely professional in handling the remainder of the renovation. Not only did he provide a reasonable quote to fix and complete what the original contractor had not completed, but he did so in a timeline that he and the team stuck to as best they could. Unlike a number of contractors we vetted the first and second time around, Moshe was fair, straightforward, provided us the communication we needed on upcoming milestones, and gave us his opinions on style, layout, and what made the most sense for our needs. We went from a house that was partially done to a completed project that we were happy with. I would definitely recommend Moshe and his team for any of your renovation projects - he's definitely proved that him and his team can handle anything from small sized efforts (kitchen remodels) to a full-scale major gut-renovation job like ours. read more

We had never done a remodel before and after hearing horror stories from friends (e.g., expect it to cost twice as much as you've budgeted, and take three times longer, don't expect quick calls back, etc.), we were very nervous. We had a fantastic experience with Construction Masters from start to finish. Based on a friend's recommendation of Construction Masters, we got a quote from them and another highly-recommended contractor. Construction Masters' quote was much better than the other quote. Once work started, Moshe made the process as smooth and painless as possible. We renovated two bathrooms and a kitchen, and the work was done to the highest quality standards and completed on time and on budget. Moshe was incredibly responsive and all his workers were top-notch. When a few minor issues popped up at the end of the project (some material left behind), he diligently followed up on every single item when other contractors might have disappeared. We could not have had a better experience in terms of quality, cost, and speed. read more

About a year ago, Construction Masters did a beautiful kitchen and bathroom remodel for us. The work was outstanding because business owner Moshe Cohen hires amazing craftspeople. So, when we decided to undertake a garage conversion recently, we called Moshe. Since we knew the level of work we could expect, honestly, we didn't bother getting alternative bids. We knew that the work would be top notch, but more to the point, we knew that Moshe takes great pride in a job well done, and more to the point, he stands behind his work. Because this was a garage conversion, there were a lot of structural considerations as well as city regulations that needed to be taken into account. Permits and inspections were handled with no fuss. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, insulation, replacing a garage door with the required window, bathroom fixtures, flooring, tiling, drywall, painting, Construction Masters did it all, on schedule and on budget. As good as all of the work is, special mention goes to the people Moshe brought in to do flooring. It is the first thing guests comment about when they come to the house. It's very nice flooring, but what makes it so special is how well it was installed. The house feels solid and centered. Moshe is on site daily supervising and revising as the job warrants. He is extremely kind and patient, so when you have the inevitable curveball, Moshe will handle it with no fuss. If you are considering any kind of remodeling or construction project, be sure to call Construction Masters. read more

I love my contractor! How many times have you heard that after a major remodel? Never from any of my friends. We interviewed six contractors for a major kitchen remodel that included removing a load bearing wall. We had narrowed the field to two before meeting Tom & Moshe. Not only was their bid very competitive, they were the ONLY contractors to OFFER a FIRM, FIXED PRICE BID! The others that were close included caveats that remodeling always uncovered unexpected conditions that would increase the cost. Tom said he has been doing this work for so long, it was like he had x-ray vision. Anything that surprised him when he opened the wall or ceiling would be his mistake and he, not me, should be responsible for that. Only changes I made to the plan or additional work I requested would increase my cost. We agreed on a start date and when he delivered the contract I was surprised to see it included a firm completion date and it was sooner than I expected. Work commenced on the agreed-to date and I was amazed at how efficient the crews were. We had every craft involved and it was like a well-rehearsed play. Crews arrived, did their jobs well and left just in time for the next crew to start. We sometimes had carpenters, electricians and plumbers all in the same day. Tom and Moshe were onsite every morning ensuring everyone knew what had to be done that day, checking the quality and schedule of the work and arranging deliveries. They made us feel so comfortable. Every time I got concerned that we were behind schedule, they patiently explained what was happening and when to assure me the schedule was still valid. We did run into problems with work performed by other companies I had hired before Construction Masters. One window had been installed improperly and Construction Masters worked with the window company to get them to pay for the fix. I was so pleased with the work and their ideas for subtle improvements to the plan that I expanded the scope of work considerably. What started as a kitchen remodel ended as a whole-house makeover and what looks like a brand new, more modern house. Many of our neighbors asked for Construction Masters contact info for work they now want to perform. As Tom said during our first meeting: "Of course I get good reviews. If I finish on time for the price we agreed to and solve any of your problems along the way, what else would you say?" He's right about that. Thanks guys! read more

We remodeled 3 full bathrooms. Moshe and Ruben were very responsive. They visited the site often and always answered the phone or otherwise quickly returned calls. The contract price was fair, and all change orders were reasonable. They also had great contacts for subs that could make custom cabinets, shower glass, and fabricating for countertops. That made it that much easier. We are very happy with the end product. read more

I owe MOSHE a BIG thank you. I am fortunate enough to have Moshe help me on my improvement project. He did a kitchen and flooring remodel with a fairly extensive demolition. Moshe did my Patio last year. His rate was incredibly good for the service. I can't be more happy. He is Awesome. We got several quotes and his was very reasonable and he's very thorough with his invoicing so you don't have any surprise fees later. He is a very sincere and nice person. His guys are all awesome, hard-working, and helpful. His crew always showed up when he said they would (you'd be amazed how often that doesn't happen) and were professional, efficient and nice. Even when he was done with his part of the work, he would quickly send someone out to help if I had a problem that wasn't even his fault, which I appreciated tremendously. He is down to the earth guy and tries to help as much as he could your project. Moshe will make sure your project get a good outcome, of course with his motto: "Quality and Integrity without Compromise". Construction Masters did a great job for me. I was leaving a leased apartment for a new place. Working against an inflexible deadline, CM completed a kitchen and miscellaneous renovations one week ahead of schedule. Owner Moshe checked the job site each day to make sure we were on target. Terrific job at a fair price! Moshe and Tomer did a full floor-up remodel of our loft in a 1928 high-rise building. New flooring, walls, custom cabinets, countertops, custom shelving, appliances and fixtures, lighting and electrical, etc., etc. Construction Masters does excellent work and they are very responsive. This is all the more remarkable: [a] in an old building; [b] where everything was moved in and out via elevator; and [c] with persnickety neighbors who would complain if there was too much noise or dust. All good! Highly recommended! read more

Let me cut to the chase with this review: do yourself a favor, place those other contractors to the side and hire Construction Masters to complete your project: you'll be glad you took my advice. We hired CM this spring to do a complete kitchen remodel in our 1920's Spanish house. The project was completed on budget, on time, and to our complete satisfaction. We started with a pool of three contractors, and selected Tom Malki because in the first meeting he spent the most time in our house, scoping out specifications, taking measurements, and completing a 3D rendering on his laptop, which helped us to visualize what the "after" project was going to look like. From there, the project progressed as scheduled, with different specialty teams working on specific elements: wallboard, ceiling, tile floor, electrical, plumbing, etc. Each of the crews included members who were good at their crafts, and were professional to interact with. Tom was there to supervise much of the time, and his attitude throughout the project was great. We started to call him 'no problem' Tom. I hope you'll get to see firsthand what this organization can do for your project, as well. read more

Ruben was very honest with the estimate. There was a section of my balcony that had hidden damage due to water and dry rot. It did cost extra in materials and time to fix the balcony. I had a lot of deferred maintenance that needed to be done. The house could not have any significant changes to the exterior. They did as I asked, the house looks almost new. My house had two stories and is large, I have cathederal ceilings in the living room and master bed room. It took nine business days for the job to be completed. They sanded, scrapped, power washed, dug a trench, repaired cracks in the stucco, replaced stucco, primer coat, repaired wood, replaced wood, painted. I am extremely happy with the work that was done and they answered all my questions and adressed any concerns that I had. read more
