We have now completed three major projects with Skyline Construction and would absolutely work with them again. We worked with Skyline on a garage/JADU conversion, a major kitchen/laundry/bathroom remodel, and a living/family/dining room refresh. Across all three, Eric and his team consistently delivered excellent results. Our projects involved everything from structural, electrical, and plumbing work to detailed finish work, and Skyline managed all aspects seamlessly. What stands out most is Eric's communication and project management. He is highly responsive and personable, communicates clearly throughout the process, and does a great job walking through trade-offs and options whenever decisions or pivots are needed. Unexpected situations can come up with projects of this size, and Eric handled those conversations professionally and collaboratively. Skyline also managed the permitting and inspection process from start to finish, which removed a huge burden from us and made the process much smoother. Most importantly, the quality of the work has been excellent. His crews are skilled, detail-oriented, respectful of the home, and move quickly without sacrificing craftsmanship. Finding a contractor you trust for one large project is hard. Finding one you trust enough to bring back for three separate major renovations says a lot. Highly recommend Skyline Construction and Eric to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality contractor. read more

I just remodeled my 30 year old kitchen, laundry room and pantry with Eric from Skyline construction and the results are super impressive. All our guests are shocked at the transformation to the feel of our home. Get this : The work was completed ahead of schedule! Yes that's right - it does happen in remodelling - but honestly not often. The entire process was executed with near swiss clock precision, scheduling and craftsmanship. The workers showed up on time at every step and it's clear they have a very good relationship with Eric at Skyline so they do their best work on time, every time. It's evident that all the workers are very experienced and know how to execute complex projects like ours. We removed an entire load barring wall dividing the kitchen and living room that had a brick fireplace, and chimney. They removed it all without destroying unintended nearby walls or flooring. Skyline rebuilt the entire ceiling structure, doubled the skylight opening by adding a second skylight, they patched the roof opening, replaced all the utilities including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and even refurbished our existing 20+ yr old exotic Kempas hardwood flooring to line up like glass with our newly installed kitchen tile flooring. This was a complex job with a lot of challenging details, like custom cabinetry, a 10 foot waterfall Quartzite stone island with utilities on concrete subfloor, and much more. The results speak for themselves. I've done previous work with other contractors but the level of efficiency and professionalism with Skyline made this a smooth project where all the small details are handled well before they become an issue. I'm already planning additional remodel work in other parts of my home with them. Seriously, do not hesitate to use Skyline - they are a rare gem in the remodel field, but they are busy so call for an estimate early if you're considering some remodeling. After purchasing our first home I decided I was going to have the kitchen of my dreams . We called several companies. Some showed up late and some companies didn't show up at all. I can't tell you how thankful we were to have stumbled upon Skyline. Aside from the fact that they were on time and highly professional, they were extremely friendly as well. Listened to our ideas and It was very evident they we're willing to work with us to provide exactly what we were looking for. After completing the kitchen remodel they even worked in a couple changes my husband made along the way. Whatever we needed / wanted, they worked hard to provide. We could not be happier with the finished product and the company. We will continue to use them for all our home remodeling projects. I have recommended them to our friends and family. You cannot go wrong with the amazing team. read more

Skyline Construction and Remodeling - a kitchen being remodeled - General Contractors Near Me - Los Angeles, California

My wife and I recently completed a major home remodel with Skyline Construction and had a phenomenal experience. Our remodel included kitchen and bathroom remodeling, installation of hardwood floors, custom stairs, interior painting, and more. We met with several general contractors prior to deciding to move forward with Eric and his team, who were recommended to us by word of mouth. From day one, Eric was professional, honest, and responsive. We encountered a few small obstacles in the process of obtaining permits from the city, but Eric overcame those quickly, with ease and confidence, thanks to his many years of experience. All in all, our home remodel process was smooth and we are so thankful to have found a contractor we could trust and who did an excellent job. I would highly recommend Eric and Skyline to my friends and family (in fact, I already have). Thank you to Eric and his team for giving us a beautiful place to call home! read more

Eric, at Skyline Construction, is the best! We couldn't have chosen a better contractor for our kitchen remodel. Not only are we thrilled with our new kitchen, but the process was an absolute pleasure. From the first meeting, we knew we were in good hands. Pricing was fair and we moved ahead quickly. From the day that demo was started to us moving back into our wonderful new kitchen was only 3 weeks! We still don't know how that was possible. Eric was here daily, and all of his guys were top notch. Even minor requests on our part were all included and addressed as we went. There is no question that we will work with him again. read more

We had a great experience with Skyline. Eric is fair, responsive, cool under pressure, and has a great eye. He helped us completely remodel our bathroom and do some needed fixing in our kitchen. His quote on pricing and time frame were spot on. He helped us pivot quickly and calmly when needed. I would recommend him highly! read more

This contractor has done work on our HOA property for one of our members. They have refused to provide proof of insurance and other basic information. They have done extensive work here in the past and left a considerable mess . This is a B garde contractor that has a hard time following the rules. There are many good contractors in Santa Barbara, but this is not one of them. read more

Needed to renovate a second guest bathroom and add an additional guest room. Called and spoke to Eric, he came out same day and gave us a quote. He was able to help guide us in our options and got us the best prices for materials. We had a small window to complete this job before anticipated guest we're to arrive and they were on top of it. From start to finish they did a great job. We're so happy with the final product and could not recommend them enough. Thanks Eric and the skyline team for the great work read more

Review of Skyline Construction Having contractors in our house isn't something we look forward to. Our experience with Skyline Construction both its owner and its crews changed our view of contractors. Eric Saida, the owner, impressed us from the start. We wanted someone to update our master bathroom. Eric quietly listened to what our ideas were, presented professional assessment and gave us his quote for the job. No hysterics, no high fives, no catastrophic possibilities, just a calm presentation on what he saw the job as and its associated cost. We instantly gave him the go-ahead. His crew started demolition as soon as we reported having obtained the behind the wall plumbing fixtures. The demolition crew completely covered all of the furniture and carpets between the bathroom and the outside door. In less than day their work was done and all of the refuse was gone. The plumbing crew worked expeditiously coordinating their tasks with the arrival of a 300 pound cast iron bathtub so that plenty of men were available to wrestle it into position. Eric surprised us when we saw he wasn't going to use off-the-shelf backer board but use a more labor intensive membrane and wire reinforcing mesh under a concrete float. The walls came out perfect ready for a smooth tile installation. The tile crew was outstanding. Dal Tile sent the wrong tile color. They immediately notified us of the problem and returned the tiles for the correct color. The resulting wall and floor tiling is perfect. The plaster and paint crew did a perfect job as well. They removed the wallpaper without destroying the plaster board. The resulting bare board was plastered with a smooth finish and painted. The result is perfectly smooth painted walls. All-in-all we are thoroughly satisfied with the bathroom Skyline Construction remodeled for us and will call them again when its time to do our guest bathroom. read more

I got so lucky with Eric from Skyline Construction. I live overseas and was nervous to renovate my home in CA without being there, but from my conversation with him I felt Eric would be responsive, professional, and trustworthy. He did an incredible job, even with me from afar. I didn't have a single issue, he was honest, communicative, and timely, and the result exceeded my expectations. Not only that, but Eric is personable and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend for all contractor needs! read more

We hired Eric and his team to help us remodel our kitchen and bathroom. After interviewing several other construction companies, we finally decided on Eric. He was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive but he seem to be the most honest and up front. He didn't over promise and was honest about the reality of what we wanted to do. We definitely felt the most comfortable with Eric. Me and my husband watch a lot of HGTV and we see a lot of remodeling horror stories where the contractor totally ripped the house owners off and left their houses in shambles. So it was very important to us that we feel we can trust our contractor and Eric definitely earned our trust. We completely gutted our kitchen and bathroom. Eric was there pretty much there the whole way holding our hands. He was there to help us pick out tiles upon request. He gave suggestions where it was needed and was very quick to respond to emails or calls. We did run into a few complications with the renovation. Our house is old and needed work that we didn't foresee. We had to completely redo the electrical and plumbing and that really pushed out budget. Eric was really good about working with us around our budget. And because of the unforeseen issues, our renovation ran about 2 weeks over schedule. Not too big a deal. Overall, our experience with Eric has been a pleasant one. He and his team were very professional. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day. We didn't live there during the construction but from what I can tell they were very courteous and respectful of our place. Definitely no construction horror story here. I have my dream kitchen and the bathroom looks great. Glad we went with Eric. read more

I highly recommend Skyline Construction for any home renovation project, no matter how small or large. This is the third time we have worked with Eric and his crew. We first worked with him in our last home where we remodeled our kitchen and 3 bathrooms including the master bath. In our new home, the first project we did with Skyline was our kitchen and just finished our master and guest bathrooms. Eric is awesome. He is extremely skilled in his craft, he is trustworthy, friendly, easy to work with, understands the vision for what you are trying to achieve, gives great advice and consultation and I always feel that the clients needs come first. The services are high quality, top notch and the cost of projects are reasonable and fair. The Skyline team are hard working, responsible and fast. We have always been beyond thrilled with the outcome. The finished project is done right and with care as though it were his own. We have received many compliments on how beautiful looking our kitchen and bathrooms came out. If you are thinking of a renovation, I would highly encourage you to at least meet with Skyline and compare them to others. Without a doubt, we will absolutely continue to work with Skyline in the future. read more

Eric is the Best Contractor Ever! We met him and instantly knew he was clam and organized and had great ideas for us . Eric started right away step by step he told us daily what was going on at the house and walking us through the process. We were not living in the house and trusted him to take care of our place for us! Then 5 weeks later he was done yup unbelievable but true! We had our kitchen remodeled and 3 bathrooms remodeled too plus a few others odds and ends. Eric people were so clean and showed up each day worked hard. So if you have a chance to work with Skyline Construction you won't be Sorry call Eric!! read more

We are in the process of remodeling three bathrooms in our house with Skyline Construction. Two of the three are mostly finished and we love them! We are about to start on the master bathroom. Eric has been wonderful to work with and we feel lucky to have found him. He is always very responsive and understanding of our needs. He's been extremely flexible with a chaotic schedule of ours and he's made sure we've been happy with the results every step of the way. He is very knowledgeable and is great at explaining everything to us. His team along with the work is A+++. We can't recommend him enough! read more

Eric and Skyline remodeled a new home we purchased--from top to bottom in 3 months without any issues or delays. I doubt there's a better contractor in the city (or beyond). We used a few other companies for some of the work (unfortunately a few we'd committed before meeting Eric) and there were serious complications with each (mostly over promising and under delivering). Everything Eric did, including everyone he employed, was top notch. The key for us was having someone we could trust, talk with openly, and who would be honest with us no matter what--including what is possible and not possible. Eric is that guy. We couldn't be happier with both the process and final result. read more

Transformative Kitchen Remodel Master Bath remodel Second Bath remodel Skyline completed a transformative remodel of a kitchen, master bath, and second bathroom at my mid-century modern home; AND Eric, the owner, oversaw the job while my family and I were long-distance in a remote part of Vermont with spotty cell service. Of the five contractors I've employed on major remodels, Eric excels at scheduling, communication, fairness in price, and the tight operation of his working crew. I would hire him again without hesitation (and, indeed, already have--Skyline did an expedited bathroom remodel for me in Dec. 2012). Here are the top reasons for my rave review: The job was complicated and Skyline excelled at handling the unexpected. Several structural complications arose due to the unique build of the original house. For the master bath, we knocked down a closet wall to enlarge shower stall and rerouted air conduits. For the kitchen, we annexed a separate laundry room and sealed off an outer door to the kitchen. Once beams were exposed, it became clear that certain walls couldn't be taken down, even with the addition of headers. Our selected design had to be readjusted after we were long-distance. Eric worked closely with Julia Spillman (co-owner and designer at Kitchen Warehouse) to resolve the structural issues and consulted with us regularly by skype. Skyline had architectural plans drawn for the application and approval of permits for an addition of two headers and a support beam. Value: Skyline's prices were reasonable and included the handling of all permits and inspections. Eric also negotiated adjustments fairly and went the extra mile--installing the range hood gratis. If you see the before and after photos, you'll see too that Skyline did a beautiful job. Flexibility with unexpected delays in materials: our backsplash tile while promised by an outside vendor in 2 weeks took 6 weeks; our cabinets (manufactured by an outside vendor specializing in low-emission boxes) were delivered with the incorrect color veneer. This meant that the job was stopped awaiting these deliveries. That's a contractor's nightmare. Eric readjusted and worked with these snafus. He didn't disappear, however, as some contractors do. Care with worksite and dust mitigation. Our budget required keeping certain big appliances. These were handled gently and stored safely (on site). Plastic sheeting sealed the work sites from the rest of the living space. Demeanor: Eric conveys a calming, unflappable presence, handling the unexpected with utmost professionalism. At the outset and across the changes that arose during construction, he gave us various scenarios and price points. He's also a warm, affable person and a great communicator. read more

Eric and team worked on our remodel and did a great job at a very reasonable price. Most of all, it was Eric's ability to work with me and my wife on getting things right and making sure that we were pleased with the outcome. We were new to the remodel game so needed someone with patience, someone who could be professional, someone who could lead with their experience but not be inflexible. Eric and Skyline hit the marks in all respects and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Thank you Skyline! read more

Skyline Construction totally remodeled our master bathroom and kitchen. They are GORGEOUS! Quality work was done from the tile, the countertops, the flooring, the plumbing, to the electrical. The owner even went with us to select our tiles, flooring, and countertops. Everyday someone was working at our house so the remodel was finished in a timely manner. The owner was in contact with us daily. All of the workers were extremely qualified, courteous, and polite. They followed all covid protocols throughout the remodel. I am SO pleased with this experience and the results are AMAZING1 read more

I cannot stress how great our experience with Eric and Skyline was. We had a horribly dated 1950's bathroom that we desperately needed to update. He came over, examined it, measured it, and sent us a very specific quote that was very detailed and thorough. We interviewed four contractors and Eric was our first and best choice for professionalism, timeliness, and general competency. Skyline was amazing to work with; Eric stuck to his timetable, even when unexpected issues came up (like massive water damage to the wall and bizarre DIY plumbing issues from the previous owners), didn't try to upsell us, and was a man of his word when it came to everything. We ripped out everything in the entire room except the window, and he was there to explain what was happening and what would happen next every step of the way. He took care of EVERYTHING we needed- even the random and unexpected bits!! The bathroom looks amazing, is an absolute pleasure to be in,and definitely adds value to our house. I cannot possibly express how happy we are with Skyline's work. read more

WOW I can't explain how pleased my wife and I are with the work Eric and his team did at our house. We meet with multiple contractors and because both my wife and I work a lot we didn't have time or the knowledge to manage and run the project, so we wanted someone we could trust and someone to guide us through this remodel. We got really lucky this finding Skyline construction. We felt lost while we were trying to figure colors, tiles, and cabinet's, Eric helped us every step of the way and made the whole process painless. I am really appreciative of all the hard work and energy that Eric put into our remodel. Now our kitchen and bathrooms look like a cover of a magazine. If you're looking for someone you can trust and A+ quality work these guys are the right team. Thank you Eric! read more

After reading numerous positive reviews AND finding them on Angie's list, I was very much looking forward to working with Skyline to help remodel my house. WAS is the key word here. I called three, count them three, times, each time I was told that an email was sent to Eric and he would call me back. Alas, no call from Eric or anyone else from Skyline. My obvious conclusion: Skyline Construction just has so many clients, they can not afford the common courtesy of returning a phone call for potential business. So the one star I am giving you, Skyline Construction, is not for the level of your work but the lack of good business sense. read more

Eric is fantastic. This project was my first remodel; we were looking to renovate an older house we had just scooped up in a competitive market. After meeting with several contractors, we landed on Eric after some enthusiastic recommendations. Eric renovated the whole three-bedroom home on an aggressive timeline, he stuck to the budget, and he went the extra mile to get us into the house before the COVID lockdown. When our schedule got held up in inspections, he made up the lost time by starting on other stages of the project while we waited. Eric is your guy, he's really on your team, and he's great to work with and very honest. There are only pleasant surprises with him and his team. read more

From beginning to end, it was a good experience. They called a day ahead to confirm appt. I had to reschedule a couple of times, but that was not a problem at all. I will use them again. read more

We remodeled our master bathroom, kids bathroom, and kitchen with Skyline Construction. I strongly recommend Skyline to anyone looking for a responsible, transparent, communicative, and above all else, quality professional general contractor for remodeling, renovation, consulting, etc. Communication was timely, something extremely valuable with complex projects. Work estimates and risk factors has high accuracy with regard to both time and cost (this is a very uncommon feat in the industry). Quality of work and professionalism of workers on-site were supreme (I was personally present 2-3 times a day, every day). In addition to all this, Skyline continued to take care of us several weeks after the project was done and the contract ended. They made sure to take care to reseal, re-caulk, and/or fix any problems or flaws we found (we only found minor, trivial stuff) as we started living in the house and as fixtures, plumbing, tiles, and flooring begin to settle into their final resting positions. Skyline anticipated this settling, informed us that this is natural, and continued to send in their workers and technicians to make sure every single detail was excellently taken care of. Highly recommended. If you go with Skyline, you choose to go with a real pro. I am definitely hiring them for my next project. read more

I found Eric of Skyline Construction on Angie's list and had them remodel a bathroom. I was so pleased with the result that I hired them again to remodel a second bathroom, and just recently I signed the contract to remodel my laundry room, garage, and fence. For each project, I had a basic concept in mind, which I would present to Eric and he would help me improve upon and fine-tune. I picked out and acquired the major pieces (sinks, valves, tub, tile, countertop slabs, etc.) and Skyline provided all of the rough construction materials (windows, drywall, outlets, misc fittings, wire, copper plumbing, etc.). This way I got the exact fixtures that I wanted. Skyline also provided the vanities. We worked with one of his designers to produce a 3D sketch with exact dimensions and the placement of drawers and doors, and got to choose from a variety of styles. They then stained the vanities to our choice of color. The stainer he sent was practically an artist, I was amazed that he was able to create a custom stain color that was exactly what I was looking for. For my second bathroom remodel, my vision had some unusual requirements, including a digitally controlled shower, electronic toilet, music piped through the wall, and 4 different types of tile with a lot of cuts. Many contractors probably would have run away when presented with this plan because it wasn't cookie-cutter. But Eric and his team (particularly his plumber) took the challenge and made a showcase bathroom. Eric and his team are committed to their quality of work and attention to detail. I am a picky person who likes everything to be done just right with no cutting corners, and they always met or exceeded my expectations. They also took care to protect the floors they were walking through and cleaned up each day. Another thing that I was very happy with was Eric's communication. We normally communicated through EMail and he always replied quickly. He also visited the house several times throughout each remodel. I never had any problem getting ahold of him, and always who would be coming out the next day and when they would arrive. read more

Those of you who have read all my reviews know I used to live in an apartment complex in Woodland Hills. I have since been blessed to be able to buy my own home In the Woodland Hills area in 2015. I wanted to do some renovations to my wonderful 1980s tutor revival townhome since you could imagine what the kitchen and bathrooms looked like circa 30 years ago. After many bad starts with some awful contractors I was referred to Eric at Skyline. And wow, what a great person this guy is. Not just someone you hire but someone you become friends with. His guys did a great job on fixing all the problems the previous contractor created. High marks to his really creative and super conscientious electricians. They were so knowledgeable and careful with everything as were his tile guys. The painters were really nice guys and so careful with everything and double checking the colors and paint types. Just excellent people. But the pièce de résistance goes to his carpenters. The kitchen cabinets these guys custom made are beyond beautiful. I'm trying to post some pictures but not sure how to on Yelp (updated: I added some pictures to my profile. Check them out). I now have a beautiful kitchen. Highly recommend you contact Eric at Skyline and give them your business. Trust me, I've been through the contractor hell and these folks at Skyline saved my house! read more

I had a really ugly experience with contractors in the past so I had been very careful who I choose this time as my contractor. For you who had construction in the past probably knows what I'm talking about and for those who hadn't have one consider yourself lucky. Someone I trust had recommended Eric's company to me but I still worry about getting another nightmare construction, so I wanted to start with my bathroom before getting into something bigger. Initially he said it won't take more than a month but depend on inspection which I understand sometimes couldn't schedule inspector to come right away. It actually took them about 2 weeks of full work to finish the job and the whole process was smooth. Couldn't believe how efficient their crew was. It's very organized, never waste a day as the crew work from 7.30 - 5, carefully lining and protect the floor and other walls, always cleans after each day and the quality of work is excellent. I'm not gonna lie of course there was a bump along the way but what impressed me is how Eric handles it. Once we encountered a problem with fabricator, he did good job but the opening cut for sink was a little bit to small for my sink size. I called Eric and told him the situation, right away he had the fabricator came the next day and had them fixed exactly what I wanted. Without hassle. You know a lot of contractor would try to get away with it or try to convince you that it's okay so they don't have to do extra work but Eric always make sure I get everything exactly the way I wanted. I'm very pleased with Eric and his crew. Never imagine that doing remodeling could be this easy. Now I'm not hesitate to have him do the job for the entire house. I'll keep you guys update once they finish the next job. read more

We highly recommend Eric and Skyline Construction. We've contracted Eric and team for the past 4 years as he's worked on 2 different homes and this is his 3rd remodel with us handling both kitchens and 2 bathrooms. Eric & team follows-through, do beautiful work and in a timely basis so that we can truly enjoy our new living spaces. The results they achieve are well worth the investment. read more

After reading the other reviews here, I must say that at first it took a couple of calls to connect with Eric regarding our remodel, but after the initial connection with Eric, the communication was very smooth and we had no worries. Anytime I wanted to talk to him or get information I just called or emailed and he or someone in the office responded very promptly. This was such a refreshing change to what I have heard about other contractors. Regarding the project - we had the kitchen and bathroom remodeled in a house that we are planning to sell. No one was living there, so it did make it easier. Eric was extremely competent and accomplished everything we wanted and needed on time and on budget. When Eric ran into something unexpected, he was quick to communicate with us and always resolved things to our satisfaction. He really did go out of his way to make us happy. One thing I really liked is his calm demeanor. Nothing that came up seemed to faze Eric, he is a true professional, but also very nice and caring. The quality of work was excellent and we would not hesitate to use him again. read more

Eric and his team worked on our bathroom and kitchen remodel as well as minor repairs around the house to get our home updated. Eric is customer service oriented, reliable and responsive when a problem arises during the process. No matter how well you plan a renovation, some unexpected surprises will still come up but Eric will try his best to be fair and reasonable. His crew works hard, and continues to come back to remedy issues until we were happy. For a smooth process, it's recommended to be there for the work, or at least have someone to look at the key milestones and approve the work at stages. Eric has various crews that can take care of tiling, plumbing, electric work and framing. Out of all his crews, the tile guys with Javier and his team are the best - creative, precise and comes up with solutions. Overall we were very happy. read more
