Dr. Ngo was very nice along with the front office staff, but there is basically no selection for women's eyewear. There's just two small sections and they were all the same. There's no variety. Plus they won't take outside lenses, so this for me was a one and done. Either offer a selection or let me bring my own frames. Got my prescription and will take it elsewhere. read more

They choose to be listed as a preferred provider through Eyeconic as this is the suggested method the City of Plano's VSP insurance uses, but they do not want to adjust any frame not purchased in their office. I was told to go here to get help with adjusting my frames, but after leaving several unreturned voice mail messages, I stopped in to get some help. The front desk aid was immature and rude and the office manager appeared to have no knowledge of what it meant to be listed as a preferred provider. DO NOT go here if you have the City's VSP insurance. Check the previous reviews. I notice every time they get a 1 start rating there are several 5 star reviews with similar sounding names. I guess the optometrist is aware and complicit with the unprofessional behavior by her staff since these similar reviews have been going on for a while. SO glad I found this place. My son broke his glasses at school and is visually impaired. The school sent us a gift certificate to replace his frames as well as a full Eye exam. I'm so glad I picked this office. This doctor gave us more information in one visit than we've been told from other doctors in the past 8 years. The staff was very professional, and the doctor was VERY knowledgeable and made sure we understood certain medical terminology as she was performing the eye exam. I didn't know how badly I needed Dr. Julie Ngo in my life until I met her for the first time yesterday. After having an appointment with Dr. Ngo, it made me realize how much of an uncaring, money-hungry idiot my previous optometrist was. Bye Target, I am now a Constant Eye Care patient for life. I am a pretty low maintenance patient - partly because I also work in healthcare and partly because that is just my personality. I'm just a nearsighted gal that wants to see clearly and be able to read boba menus without having to squint. I've always thought my prescriptions were too weak. I've been in the -1.00's since high school (a little over a decade) and finally made it to -2.00 six months ago with my previous optometrist. Yesterday, I was told by Dr. Ngo that my vision was actually -2.50...I have never jumped .5 before (much less in 6 months). It usually takes two years for my vision to go down .5. I came in for a contact fitting as well and Dr. Ngo gave me some -2.50 contact lenses and I have NEVER seen clearer in my life! For the first time, everything was SO clear. My previous optometrist gave me glasses/contacts that let me see JUST enough but never with the clarity I actually wanted/needed. With my old optometrist, whenever I had a "contact fitting" he would give me a pair of Acuvue Oasys 2-week contact lenses, kick me out within a few minutes, and I'd see him again in a year. He basically forced that brand on me - I never got to try monthly pairs or daily pairs. He never followed up with me to see if I liked them or if they worked for me. Appointments with him were quick. With Dr. Ngo, she is letting me try different brands AND I am to come back and let her know which I like and which I dislike so I can appropriately order the right contact lenses. If I don't like any of the lenses she gave me, I can try others. First off, I didn't know you were supposed to come back after trial-ing a pair of lenses. I am exploring new worlds of contact lenses with Dr. Ngo and I am very confident that through her I will finally find the perfect pair of contact lenses for ME! read more

After months of denial about my slowly decreasing eyesight, I finally decided to take advantage of my insurance and go get an eye exam. I was very happy when a provider from my Vision Care package also happened to have a 5-star rating on Yelp! I have to say I was extremely pleased with the prompt and courteous service I received. When I called to make an appointment today, they were actually able to fit me in for an eye exam within a few hours. I went to the office on my lunch break, filled out a little bit of paperwork, and saw the optometrist very shortly thereafter. The Dr. explained every step of what she was doing and got my diagnosis relatively quickly. (OMG it felt sooooo good to be able to see CLEAR AGAIN! lol) I sat with one of the girls from the front office who helped me pick out some frames for my brand new glasses ! They have an amazing selection of frames to choose from - from bargain ones all the way up to designer styles! She also explained very thoroughly what my different options were for frames and lenses based on what my insurance would cover. Altogether in about an hour I was seen and all set with my new glasses ordered! I chose a cute "Coach" frame! Cant wait for them to come in! The Dr. And staff were very pleasant and made me feel welcome and at ease. Will definitely continue my eye check ups here! read more

My family and I will no longer do business with Constant Eye Care after my visit today. Even though I originally paid for the anti-scratch coating on my glasses they had scratched within a few weeks and I had been living with it for months. Luckily my insurance paid for new lenses to be made and I showed up today to have them installed. There were no customers in the store and it only took a few minutes but as soon as I put them on they fell off my face because they were way too loose. I showed the gentleman that the frame/left arm was obviously bent outward and he took them back to work on them. Most places actually have you try them on so they can see the problem and then address it but no big deal I thought. They brought them out again and they were only slightly better and still not wearable and implied that they couldn't have caused the problem because they didn't put any stress on the frames. I told them they were fine when I walked in the door but just give me both sets and I would take them somewhere else and have them fixed. The young lady at the counter then suggested I buy some kind of aftermarket product to fix the problem that they had caused and now refused to fix. I did not appreciate her tone and insinuation that my glasses were already broken and said, "Why are you being so rude? My family and I can look for a new optometrist if you'd prefer". So I left and will give our four eyeglass accounts to someone who appreciates the business instead. read more

Came here as a walk in on Saturday for eye exams for husband and I. Really loved that they open on saturdays as it's hard to find! Eyeglass selection is small but they had solid choices. I loved the varying price points. They carry Prada but I wish they carried more brand names. You can find something under $100 and over $400. My husband (who rarely can find glasses he loves) found 3! He ended up spending close to $500 but we added extras like the eye glass shading etc. I couldn't find the glasses I was looking for but was told when I do to call them and they can try to see if they can get through their sales representative. The staff was very efficient and super friendly. We laughed our whole time there. Dr Ngo is very personable and professional! We really enjoyed all their companies. I came in today on a last minute appointment after folks at work told me my eyes were unusually red (and they felt strained, burning, etc). In a pure panic, I called the office and they were able to squeeze me in for an emergency appointment within the same afternoon. I met with Dr. Ngo, who has such great bedside manner. She was very reassuring while she looked at my eyes and eyelids. I tend to ask tons of questions for understanding (and to calm my nerves), and she was very patient in answering everything. Turns out I had a blocked oil gland that was causing dry eyes and irritation. Dr. Ngo explained how to treat it, and gave me some eyesdrops to ease it in the meantime. I'm so, so relieved and grateful that Constant was able to see me last minute and took the time to explain the situation, prevention, and treatment to a level that even I, a self proclaimed hypochondriac, can feel comfy about. I have no complaints about the eye exam, but afterwards they refused to give me the "PD" with my eye RX. I cannot order any cheap glasses online without the "PD"! Every other eye doctor I've ever used, will begrudgingly give it to me when asked, but they said it's their policy to NOT give it out! Constant Eye Care is a great place to get your eye exam, prescription lenses, and contact lenses. I have gotten all 3 at this location, and all their services have been top notch. Glasses and contacts have always arrived on-time, and communication has always been excellent. Her methods seem more modern and up-to-date, as well. Most importantly, Dr. Ngo takes time to understand the patient. When I first came to her practice, she thought my glasses were over-prescribed from my previous eye care professional. She listened to my history and my concerns. She explained what she thought was best for me and suggested that I try out a slightly less strong prescription to see if I liked it. After a week, I felt less strain on my eyes after pro-longed computer usage at work. I feel that her prescription was keen and spot-on. I highly recommend Dr. Ngo and Constant Eye Care! read more

So this is a long review for an optometrist, but I was soooo pleased with my experience. I got LASIK a couple years ago and haven't been to the dr in awhile. The place is in an old shopping center that's about to be remodeled for a new Hmart center, so you know it's gonna get super busy soon!! Excited that I don't have to go all the way to Carrollton anymore. The staff was super friendly and greeted you as soon as you walked in. It was the grand opening week and her family was there to support her. Really great seeing that instead of the corporate places where you feel like just another number. They made you feel comfortable as soon as you walked in. I think people are under the misconception that you want an eye dr with decades of experience, but it's not true! You want a dr that is up to date with the latest technology and knows her stuff. Dr. Ngo graduated recently and it's good knowing all the knowledge is fresh. She really knew her stuff. She was so thorough and made me feel so comfortable. She's def gonna be my eye dr from now on. read more

Nice, clean place. Dr. Julie Ngo is also a very nice and patient with my boys. This is my 3rd year going to this place, and I have no complaint other than the staff in the front. Last year, a hispanic front staff was not very nice, and I was hesitant to go back this year. I wanted to give it a try again, since Dr Ngo got my boys in, last minute appointment the day before. But again, very disappointed with the staff in the front, not only they are different every year, the new hispanic girl purposely gave me the expired prescription when I asked for it. Why do I even have to ask for the prescription, when I paid for the eye exam? She only gave me the last year's eye glasses prescription, which it will expire in one month, and I am guessing, to her (front staff), this is not a common sense, that newest prescription is not released to patients after the exam, if the prescription from last year has not yet expired. She also refused to release the contact lens prescription after I asked numerous times. I will not be going back there ever again, and deal with these rude front staff members. I guess I have to be more nasty with them and speak with the doctor directly to get my boys' eye glasses and contact lens prescriptions. I do NOT recommend this place at all! Boooo read more

If you are looking for competence and patient care, do not come here. I recently switched companies and the optometrist office that I had gone to for years did not accept my new vision insurance. I chose this place because it was close to work. I got a regular eye exam but was also seeking treatment for overactive watery eyes. Dr. Ngo prescribed some steroid eye drops and then asvised she would check in 2 weeks to see if she needed to refer me to an ophthalmologist. I waited 2 1/2 weeks and when Dr. Ngo never called to follow up, I called the ophthalmologist myself and scheduled an appointment. During this waiting period, I also ordered my contact lenses which I was told would be in in a week. 2-3 weeks later I call to check and was told my lenses hadn't arrived and that they would need to call Davis Vision to check. It was another 2 weeks before I was called and told my contacts were in. I don't believe they were ordered in the first place. Fast forward to today, I go in to pick up my contacts. Give the girl at the counter my first and last name (Anderson) and the girl asks if it could be under "Jones"...what the hell? Someone can't copy my name correctly from my chart? These are not the brightest, most competent people at this place! read more

I have tired eyes symptom so Dr. Ngo offers different types of contact lenses for me to try out and find the most comfortable one before ordering. She follows up with me to see if any of the contact lenses help with my tired eyes issue. Usually there's an extra cost for dilation but it's included in the exam at no extra cost! Dr Julie Ngo saw my 6 year old. She threatened to send her to the hospital because I chose not to have her eyes dilated. My child has a fear of optometrist and started crying when dilation was mentioned but instead of reassuring my 6 year old Dr Ngo told my daughter "I'll just send you to the hospital so they can dilate your eyes and they are much meaner than I am. That's where we send kids who can't behave". My child was sitting in my lap behaving fine. She was quite and minding well. So because I refused to have her eyes dilated Dr Ngo refused to do her eye exam. I thought having your eyes dilated was always an option not a requirement. In my opinion Julie Ngo is a bully towards children. She did not stop bashing my child while examing my older one. read more
