Dr. Mazaheri is AMAZING! When I initially called for prices, the receptionist said the office manager would call me back. To my surprise, Dr. Mazaheri called me and spoke to me for about 30 minutes. THE ACTUAL SURGEON CALLED ME!!! I went in for my initial consultation. Everyone was so friendly. The office manager spent about 20 minutes with me and explained everything. Dr. Mazaheri then came in and spoke with me for quite a while. The customer service was amazing. Every member of the staff was so informative. I had called around to many LASIK practitioners. I did my research. I decided to go with the flapless LASIK. My appointment was scheduled for 11/8/19. The procedure was painless and quick! The doctor checked , double checked, and triple checked everything. At no time did I experience any pain or anxiety. The doctor worked on my right eye first. He moved me from under the laser, and I could see!!!!! For the first time since I'm 41 years, I could see with out corrective lenses!!!! I immediately told him to do the left eye!!! It was AMAZING! I went home with extremely detailed instructions for after-care. Nothing was overlooked. I went in the next day for a quick check. I had followed directions explicitly. I experience NO PAIN! My vision improved more each day. I was watching TV without glasses!!!! I am in heaven. 5 days after surgery, I went to my appointment where the doctor removed the protective contact lenses. It was quick, simple, and painless. I have told all of my friends that they MUST go see Dr. Mazaheri for this surgery. Modern medicine is amazing. More importantly, Dr. Mazaheri and his staff are superb at their jobs and take such good care of their patients. I am forever in Dr. Mazaheri's debt. read more

It has been over four months since my surgery, and I could not be more pleased with the results. Dr. M and his staff made this a great experience for me. I would like to share my story and background if my history relates to other prospects considering the PRK procedure. I am a 40-year-old male, and before my surgery, my prescription was -4.25/-4.50 with a slight/mild astigmatism in both eyes. I started needing glasses at the age of 12 and I was in contacts by 13. About 5 years ago, I started noticing the discomfort of wearing contacts on a daily basis. I would come home from work, and immediately take them out, if I had no plans that evening. I also have extremely dry eyes, and usually use re-wetting drops frequently. I have always found glasses to be a nuisance, and wearing them for long periods of time gave me a headache. My goal was to get Lasik by the time I turned 40. I priced out the surgery with several surgeons in the D/FW metro-plex, including my optometrist, and I found the PRK procedure to be rather competitive to the traditional Lasik procedure, so I decided to make an appointment with Dr. M./M Lasik Center since there was no fee for the consultation. (I ended up paying about $200 more than what my eye doctor quoted me, based on my prescription, and considering my astigmatisms.) Halfway through the consultation, I already knew I had decided that this is the route I wanted to go. Dr. M. encouraged me to do my research first before making a solid decision, but I was already sold. During the consultation, Dr. M. has you watch a video of his competitor (a local Lasik surgeon) that had Dr. M. perform the PRK procedure on all 5 of her children. There's really not much more that needed to be said at that point. I have heard stories about how many Lasik patients feel like cattle during their procedure, as other institutions perform this procedure in droves. At M Lasik Center, there's only one procedure at a time, and Dr. M. performed it himself, with his nurse in the room to assist him. After the procedure, I was taken into a post-recovery room, where I was the only one in there. I felt like I was the only patient that day, and cannot relate to other stories that I have heard. Post-surgery: I did have a lot of headaches and I was overly fatigued, but that was due to the fact that my eyes were sensitive to the steroid drops given, which is rare, but in my case, it happened. I do keep my eyes moistened throughout the day, as post-PRK patients need to since the eyes can be dry for 6-12 months after surgery. The headaches are due to your eyes trying to adjust to their new setting, and that does not recalibrate overnight. Just be patient and understand that it is part of the process. If you don't choose M Lasik Center, you should at least consider the free consultation. If you do choose Dr. M., just remember that the PRK procedure is different than the traditional Lasik procedure. Do NOT listen to your friends or others that have had the traditional Lasik procedure, because you might hear some conflicting information. Pay attention to Dr. M. and follow every instruction he gives. It can be scary and you probably will be nervous, but you are in great hands and within a couple of months after the surgery, your only regrets will be that you didn't do this sooner. read more

Words can't express my gratitude for Dr. M and his staff. Everyone is patient and kind and answered all of my many questions. I've worn glasses for 30+ years and only dreamed that I would ever be able to see without them. Dr. M made that dream come true a few months ago. My prescription was very high, around -10 and -13. Not only do I not have to wear glasses anymore, my vision is just about 20/20! I'm so very thankful for Dr. M taking me on as a patient to undergo the no cut LASIK procedure! read more

While certainly I will base this review on my personal opinion of the M lasik Center I will also respect the facts. The office personnel will not reach out during your post op period. Follow up visit schedule is limited to afternoons. The one year follow up is an additional cost. The initial follow up after the surgery you will not be seen by Dr M. My experience, Sat in office up to 25 minutes before seen Dr. M. (Office personnel forgot I was there, after I had checked in) Never received an appointment reminder ( yes it's my responsibility to know, but it's expected of the medical industry that you will receive a text reminder) During my last visit and the reason that prompted me to write this review, they attempted to charge me and my insurance for a visit. I paid over 3500 dollars, now you want me to pay you so that you can check the work you did on me! Really! I asked why and the front office person got combative, I don't have to take lip from a service provider. Dr M, is nice enough, but he's a salesman. I am not unhappy with the surgery but I'm also not blown away. It would be nice to know what my vision is now after the surgery, I know it's not 20/20! There you go, one unhappy customer's honest opinion. read more

After two years of my PRK procedure, my vision is still good as new and has no complications post-surgery. My prescription is very high, but Dr. M has done a wonderful job on correcting my myopia and makes my vision back to original vision. I'm glad that I had made this decision and chose him for this non Lasik operation. read more

I just had my flap-less LASIK surgery last week and Dr. Mazaheri was amazing! I did my research and he lived up to every great thing I've read about him. He is very hands on with his patients and is available for you to talk to him about any concerns you have. The staff was patient with me and clear on the instructions on how to properly take care of my eyes post surgery. The surgery itself was quick, painless and Dr. Mazaheri was talking to me the WHOLE time! This made me feel so comfortable and eased any nerves I had. I know I made the right choice trusting him and I will be recommending him to any and all of my friends in the future! read more

Dr. Mazaheri and staff are some, if not, the best in lasik in Dallas. Dr. M is truly a brilliant man. He was patient, informative, organized, and had an excellent attitude and bedside manner. The staff at M Lasik Center is phenomenal. They are friendly and never have an impatient attitude. They gave excellent notes and were super friendly (even when we, LOL, accidentally asked some questions more than once. Thank you Dr. M and staff. It's been 8 years since my vision correction surgery, and I still see better than 20/20. I don't have issues driving at night and being blinded by oncoming headlights like my friends who've gotten the more invasive type of surgery. I also love that Dr. M pushes patients to take their viteys! He always reminds me to take my D3, B-Complex, Vitamin C, and B2. He was also great when I had a sty from hell. He sent me to an infectious disease eye doctor in Plano and may have prevented major damage by helping me get seen quickly. He's always interested in hearing about my business and life. I had a great experience with Dr. Mazaheri and the M Lasik Center. As an attorney I rely on my eyesight heavily in reviewing legal documents, and as pilot, I rely on my eyesight for safety. After many years deliberating over the decision to have eye surgery I finally decided to take the next steps. At my initial appointment I explained my apprehension to Dr. M and asked if there was any way that I could visit with a few of his current and former patients about their experiences. To my amazement Dr. M brought in three different patients over the course of my appointment, allowing me to visit privately with each. Additionally and afterward, Dr. M put me in touch with another eye surgeon who entrusted surgery on her own children to Dr. M. This really helped me overcome my apprehension toward eye surgery. Surgery went great, and I couldn't believe how well I was seeing after only week. It's now been nearly three months since my surgery and my vision is fantastic. I'm able to easily read hundreds of documents on a daily basis. I'm able to fly safely, easily spot distant traffic and airports, and no longer have to carry a back-up pair of glasses in case I blink out a contact! My only regret is not visiting the M Lasik Center and Dr. M sooner! read more

This guy is the real deal. The whole process was very personable and they made me very comfortable. The doctor has decades of experience performing this advanced "no-cut" lasik, and now he solely does this method. He has multiple patents on the procedure and recovery. The whole process takes less than an hour, and the actual lasik part is only like 5-8 seconds on each eye. Your eyesight is immediately better, but you develop your 20-20 vision over the next 2 weeks. I will say that the recovery is a little more extensive. You have to take eye drops for a couple months after, you have to wear sunglasses outside, and he advises against ceiling fans for a while. But the doctor is just extra cautious and truly cares about your eyes. Its also a little more expensive than the standard cutting procedure that the other people do, but its well worth it. I'm almost a year out, and my vision is 20-10, my eyes are perfect, and theres no sign that I even got lasik because of this advanced method he does. Highly recommend! read more

This is the place to go in Dallas. Myself and my Dad both went to Dr. M and we are very happy with our results. I kept putting lasik off saying "one day" finally after putting it off for years I was like I should just do it now so I can enjoy it longer. So glad I did! The staff is nice and even Dr. M gives you his cell number just in case you have any issues after the procedure. I felt very comfortable everytime I was there. The only thing I didn't like was having to wear glasses for 10 days prior to the surgery (contacts change the shape of your eye) but that's something that was required. The surgery was very affordable and I WAS legally blind. I think I was quoted $3,500 for both eyes. WORTH EVERY PENNY! Every night I attempt to take out my contacts and forget I don't have them in. No cut lasik was seriously life changing for me. read more

After thoroughly researching the various methods of corrective eye surgery, as well as the precision and accuracy of the current technology for getting the best possible customized results, choosing to work with Dr. Mazaheri was one of the easiest and best decisions I have ever made. Not only are his knowledge, skills, and equipment top of the line, and I do mean the best of the best (check out his track record), but his staff is also an absolute pleasure to interact with. It's easy to feel comfortable at the M Lasik Center, which is a big deal when it comes to choosing to have surgery. Comfort and confidence definitely play a role in the healing process, and I wasn't short on either thanks to Dr. M and his wonderful staff. I've already recommended Dr. Mazaheri to loved ones and friends several times, and now I happily extend that recommendation to everyone else in the DFW area. If you've ever thought about seeing the world as it truly is, without the perpetual cost and hassle of contacts or glasses, this is how you do it. No more having to remember to bring solution when you might sleep at a friends place. No more running with glasses slipping off, or contacts getting blurry. No more touching your eyes with your fingers. No more visits to an optometrist that would rather have you in-and-out, than take the time needed to make certain that you see the best you've ever seen. By the way my vision pre-surgery was extremely poor. I had astigmatism in both eyes, and because my left eye was much worse than my right eye, my brain learned to ignore it. This is called refractive amblyopia, and I came to find out that I've had it pretty much my whole life, and not one optometrist had noticed, not one. I should have been sent to an eye specialist decades ago. Dr. M figured out what was up with my poor vision within minutes of meeting me at my free consultation. Before lasik, my vision was 20/400. This meant that I could see an eye chart from twenty feet away, only as clear as someone with unimpaired vision standing 400 feet away from the same eye chart... That's a football field, plus another 1/3 of a football field away! Today, 15 weeks after my surgery, I am seeing 20/25! That's right, people with 20/20 vision only have five feet on me, and I'm catching up quick! When it comes to your vision, the most important way for you to interpret and respond to the world around you, don't take any short cuts, and don't settle for less. Let Dr. M and the M Lasik staff take care of you and you will not regret it. read more

I visited Dr. M several years ago for Lasik. I still return to him for my annual check-ups. I have never felt more comfortable with a Doctor. I was a "complicated" case and he only agreed to take me on if I followed all of his instructions and agreed to follow his after procedure protocol. He was diligent in explaining everything involved with the procedure and took EXCEPTIONAL care of me. I had a few visits right after the procedure so he could monitor my progress with the steroid drops. I felt as though he truly cared about me as a patient and also about my vision after the fact. I do not recall ever having 20/20 vision. I came to Dr. M having just turned 40 & asking for help with my vision. Truthfully, I didn't even know how bad my vision was -- all I knew is that I wore the strongest strength of contact lenses & still couldn't see 20/20. After initial testing, the results came back at -13. Yes, you read that correctly, -13! Dr. M proceeded cautiously after I assured him that all I wanted was to be able to wear cute frames & that I would be ecstatic if he could get me to a -3... a prescription strength I hadn't been since kindergarten. Well, he worked his GIFT & I was able to see 20/20 after the procedure. The results were better than both he & I anticipated!! He has changed my life & I will forever be grateful & sing his praises to everyone researching vision correction! Treat yourself to seeing a whole new world in 2022 & schedule your consultation today!! read more

Dr. M surgery did not last but 2 years, even with his concoction of vitamins he requires for success. Without testing someone's blood levels of specific vitamins, he requires the patient to take his long list of supplements to "guarantee" results. I have required corrective vision with glasses and contacts ever since I was a child, so taking the next step to pursue eye surgery was a life-changing decision for me. I was told by my Optometrist that I would not qualify for ordinary LASIK surgery and that I needed to see a surgeon who specialized in PRK or "Flapless LASIK" due to my severe near-sightedness and astigmatism. My Optometrist referred me to Dr. Mazaheri, and I was was able to meet with him and his staff for a free consultation during my first visit. Dr. Mazaheri was very approachable and professional. He answered all of my questions, and he was realistic about the possible outcomes of my surgery given my severe prescription. I felt very comfortable and cared for at the M Lasik Center. Not once did I feel rushed in their office, and I felt like I was always receiving personal care. They were also very detail-oriented and thorough with their instructions for optimizing my vision before and after surgery. It has now been about 8 weeks after my surgery date and I am thrilled to say I see 20-20! This has truly has been a life-changing experience for me, and I would recommend Dr. Mazaheri at the M Lasik Center to anyone! read more

Before going to M Lasik I researched several of the Lasik centers in town. I was scared off from Dr. Boothe after reading all the negative press and horror stories, likewise for Carter. After reading several reviews on M Lasik and then researching PRK surgery I decided it was the place to go. PRK excited me since its flapless, the idea of someone cutting my eye just sounded very risky. With PRK I went in, the Dr. buffed my eye with some little device, then applied the laser for 5-10 seconds in each eye. That was it, there was no pain. I hurt the next day, which is supposed to be normal for PRK. Thankfully I was given prescriptions for good medicine and slept most of that day. What I read is the time it takes to full vision is much shorter with PRK. I was seeing decently in 3 days but not as good as my glasses, which took about 1 week. All in all I'm happy to be glasses free with better than 20/20 vision. read more

I had minus 7-8 vision after 14 years wearing glasses and my vision was gradually decreasing during the 14 years. I have always been thinking about lasik but was afraid of any problems that would occur during any period. Finally, I believed that my time has come. I visited experienced Dr. Mazaheri in June. He explained everything to me very clearly and gave me a very good price since I didn't have any vision insurance. After one month I had my surgery done. After the first 48 hours recovery, my eyes began to focus. And 48 more hours, my eyes began to see everything and I went back to work. It's been 10 days after the surgery, I am really satisfied with my vision recovery since my prescription was really high. I highly recommend Dr. Mazaheri for anyone who wants to correct their vision. read more

I went to Dr. Mazaheri as I was tired of wearing glasses due to activities like Martial Arts and dancing. He was very informative and helpful, giving me a sense of confidence in his abilities at my consultation. I had the PRK surgery completed five weeks ago, and the results have been fantastic. I will admit that the recovery process the first few days following the surgery were more intense than I expected, but the procedure was definitely worth having. The procedure was $3000, not including the medicines needed for the eyes. My sensitivity to light is still bothersome, and fighting with dryness is no fun, but my vision has become clearer with each passing day. The total recovery time is three months, so I still have several weeks to fully recover. I would recommend this procedure to anyone interested, and I highly recommend Dr. Mazaheri. read more

I am a computer graphics artist, so my quality of vision is very important to me. After doing some research, I decided that I would prefer a flapless procedure to reduce risk of long term complications. I chose the M Lasik Center because of Dr. Mazaheri's credentials and experience. I felt their price was very reasonable, though I was not shopping for a bargain. It's clear when you walk through the door that the practice works in service of quality over quantity. The office stays busy, but they never keep you waiting long, so I rate their scheduling as excellent. Everyone on the staff is very friendly and takes time to answer any questions. In my consultation, I expressed my concerns to Dr. Mazaheri about recovery time, and he reassured me that because he specializes in the flapless procedure it would be kept to a minimum. The surgery itself is as easy as having your teeth cleaned at the dentist. Dr. Mazaheri and his assistants have excellent bedside manner and put you at ease through the whole process. Afterwards you are given an on call number if you have any problems over the weekend (I did not have to use it). My subsequent checkups went well and the staff has been available to answer any questions/ issues I've had. I returned to work a week after my procedure with great vision that's gotten better every day since. I am now about 11 weeks out from my surgery, and have gone from 20/600 vision to 20/20 (20/15 on a good day). I could not be more satisfied with my results. I still pinch myself when I realize how much better my vision is since the surgery. I recommend that anyone interested in having refractive surgery do extensive research on Advanced PRK/ surface ablation, as the trade off is a longer, short-term recovery period for a safer procedure with less risk of long term complications. I could not be happier with my choice to go flapless and I rate my procedure and follow-up care from the M Lasik Center as excellent. read more

Dr. Mazaheri and his practice are top notch when it comes to PRK Laser Eye Surgery. The surgery is astonishing, effortless and painless and the outstanding results will change your life. The building and his administrative assistants are about average; however, Dr. Mazaheri makes up for their deficiencies with his charming and friendly attitude and thorough knowledge of his practice. Dr. Mazaheri's "Advanced LASIK" is PRK with a straightforward surgery and elongated recovery time. The results can be see instantly and he promises better than 20/20 vision. My experience with this doctor was replete with poor customer service, lack of professionalism, and poor attitudes. I do not recommend this doctor based upon my experience. When I was setting up the appointment, I advised the doctor's staff of all the medications I take, including an opioid blocker. I asked and verified twice that all of my medications were okay to take prior to the procedure. After the surgery, I experienced unexpected amounts of pain the first night, waking up every 2 hours. The next day, I attended the required checkup, informed the doctor and his staff about the pain, which they described as normal. That afternoon the pain become excruciatingly worse to the point that I felt I had to call the doctor again. One of the reasons I choose this doctor was his alleged availability to his clients. He said that you could call him day or night and he would answer right away or call right back. Being unable to see owing to the pain I was experiencing, my friend assisted me in dialing the doctor's cell number at around 2 pm. I left a voicemail and then called again after no response for over an hour. After a day and a half of pain, I took myself off of my opioid blocking medication (which should have been done from the beginning) and started to feel relief. The doctor finally called me back two days later. During the next scheduled checkup, I relayed the story to help the doctor and his staff understand that they should add the medication to their list of items someone should not take before their procedure, only to be told by the doctor that it was my fault. My fault that I did not call him back to back until I reached him. My fault that I was on this medication used to help treat my auto immune disease. My fault that I did everything wrong according to him. All I wanted was an apology; however, the doctor seemed too arrogant to even consider he was in the wrong; and should have reviewed my medications. The doctor informed me that none of the medications prescribed were opioids, however upon review the Tylenol with Codeine was in fact an opioid. Which again points to the doctors' incompetence. read more

I went here for my LASIK. My eyes now are perfect so I give 5 stars, no more glasses for me. :), okay a brief time lapse. Surgery is painless and last less than a second, you stare at a dot, hear the machine, smell burnt hair then your done. The day of surgery you can see perfect, however your eyes will feel like someone through sand in them but if you use the drops every thirty minutes it feels good. The day after surgery you can see clear, two days after slightly blurry, third day after really blurry-don't drive.lol. 5 day good, I had to use medicated healing drops for about 5 months but now it's all good. :). I've been evaluating laser eye surgery for in excess of 10 years and have been told by many doctors that my -8 situation was not suited for laser surgery. When I heard about the M Lasik Center and the no cutting LASIK procedure I immediately went to check it out. I had the surgery about 5 weeks ago and the results really are incredible. I've been in glasses/contacts since 4th grade coming up on 40 years. It is awesome to be free of glasses and contacts! I downloaded an eye test iPhone ap shortly after having the surgery and can see better than most that profess to have 20/20 vision. I do suggest closely following the surgery prep regime and the post surgery eye drop instructions. I stumbled on the process shortly after surgery and had some reservations about my decision. Once I got with the program it was smooth sailing with no regrets. If you want personal attention by a doctor that cares about the well being of his patients Michael Mazaheri at the M Lasik Center should be high on your list for evaluation. read more

I am very pleased with Dr. Mazaheri and his staff. I went to other Lasik centers and I met with a nurse and/or sales rep. The doctors wouldn't meet or talk with me unless I put down a deposit, hence, committing to have the surgery with them. That made no sense to me. My first consultation at M Lasik Center, Dr. Mazaheri met with me, told me if I was a good candidate for the surgery, explained the pros and cons, explained the procedure in detail, and answered all my questions. He didn't ask for money, or pressured me into making a decision right then and there. Following that first consultation, me and my husband had additional questions so we called several times. The staff was incredibly helpful every time, and continued to follow up with us. The day of the surgery, they all made me feel at ease. There is an atmosphere of excitement in the office led by Dr. M. He and his staff explained what was going to happen in full detail, from the moment the procedure starts, through what I was going to experience post surgery. Dr. M does the procedure himself and he has great bedside manner. I was amazed that I was able to see without my glasses within seconds after him doing the first eye. A week after the surgery I was incredibly happy with the results. No more contacts or glasses! I highly recommend Dr. Mazaheri. I recently decided to get LASIK done. I HAD horrible vision and this is something I have wanted to do since high school. Well, for my birthday I finally got it done. I was terrified at the thought of what it involved and I called many places before I choose dr. M. While several other places were considerably cheaper, I felt like spending the extra money was worth it, I mean these are my eyes we are talking about. What I really liked about choosing Dr. M was I never felt like I was being herded in and out like I've read about other practices, the staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. The procedure was a bit creepy (but that's just me) but it was painless. I pretty much slept for two days after and my vision was fairly clear a week after, and improves everyday. I'm about 9 days into a contact/glasses free life. It takes some getting used to being able to see all the time. I'm really happy I was able to do this. read more

It has been five years since I had my procedure and I couldn't be more happier. To be able to wake up and not need glasses or contacts to see is really a miracle. I love that I had lasik and I have recommended Dr. Mazsheri to anyone considering lasik surgery. read more

Dr. Mazaheri is definately the one you want to go to if looking to get your vision back! Since day one he has been there to answer all of my questions and assist me in any way necessary. He is physically there with every part of your surgery, this isnt something where his employees do all the work and he comes in at the end and "signs" you off, he is the one doing the most important work on you. The surgery itself was painless(no cutting whatsoever) and took less than 30 seconds each eye. He gives you his personal cell phone number in case you have any emergencies or have any questions that you would need to ask him. In my opinion, this is what makes him stand out from the rest. I could really tell that he cares for his patients well being and want to be there every step of the way to make sure they get exactly what they paid for. I will definitely recommend him to others. Great job Dr. Mazaheri! read more

I researched doctors and lasik procedures for 5-6 years before having the procedure done. I decided to use Dr. Mazaheri based on his credentials, my level of comfort with Dr. Mazaheri and his staff at my initial consultation, online reviews, and the lack of lawsuits. I read one review that seemed to indicate that Dr. Mazaheri has a high volume business like the lasik centers on TV....I assure you that this is the furthest from the truth. During my appointments, the other patients had already had the procedure and had nothing but glowing comments about their experience. Since my eyes are sensitive, I was concerned about getting through the procedure without blinking; along with the obvious risks of the procedure itself. After factoring in all of the information listed above, it was an easy decision about who to have do the procedure. The procedure was explained to me in great detail. The procedure itself was over before I knew it. Following the surgery, I had some discomfort in my left eye which Dr. Masaheri addressed during my first followup visit. Additionally, I had Dr. Mazaheri's cell number and that of his assistant in case of an emergency. Prior to my second followup visit I was hospitalized, and Dr. Mazaheri came to my hospital room for the followup visit...which was a pleasant surprise. I meticulously followed Dr. M's instructions. Today my vision is far better than it was prior to the surgery (even with contacts or glasses). Needless to say, I am happy with Dr. Mazaheri and his staff. read more

At Johns Hopkins, he learned the most advanced version at the time and he spent the next decade and half improving his skills to make the procedure as painless and as easy as possible. He is one of the most experienced surgeons in the world when it comes to the no cutting version (advanced PRK) . Patients will love the day of the procedure because the cutting or flap making part is eliminated.

Several years ago I had a Lasik consultation with another Lasik surgeon. I was told that my astigmatism was too severe and that my corneas were too thin and I would never be able to have Lasik. I was told I could do a crystal lens implant, but I was in my early 20's at the time and was worried about my vision changing so I declined. Years later I was researching Lasik hoping there was a new technology that would allow me to have Lasik despite my challenges. I found Dr. M online and scheduled a consultation. His office staff was so kind and everything was very efficient. Covid policies were in effect and I was the only one in the office, much different than an experience my mom had with a different surgeon years ago who lined everyone up like an assembly line. After a short but thorough consultation, I was told I was a candidate. I followed the preop instructions, took my vitamins, and stayed out of my contacts for a few weeks. The surgery was quick, less than 5 minutes, and I could see instantly. The surgery was 100% pain-free. The recovery was tougher than I expected, but I think that is because my vision was so bad Dr. M had to resurface a little deeper than most patients. While I could see immediately after surgery my vision was blurry for a few days after, but steadily improved. I'm about to go in for my third follow up and I think my vision is about 20/20. I'm not even sure how bad it was before, but not only could I not see the "E" on the eye chart, I couldn't see the chart at all. I was legally blind and honestly never thought I would see without the help of toric contacts and glasses. It's amazing to go from seeing vague shapes to such clear vision. If you have ever been told you are not a candidate for Lasik I highly recommend going to see Dr. M. My only regret is that I did not do this years ago. read more

Doctor Mike Mazaheri is possibly the best eye surgeon in the world. I had poor vision in my right eye, 20/50 or so, and terrible vision in my left eye, well beyond 20/400. He was professional, concerned, and extremely detailed in his examination. He was thorough in discussing the procedures with me, as well as the software and the surgical machinery to be used. The procedure went quickly and was nearly painless, with mild discomfort being the worst I could call it. When done, there were a few days of blurriness, and then my vision started to "crystalize." There's no other word for it. I had been used to things being un-detailed and indistinct. All of a sudden there was a whole new, sharp clear world out there. My left eye turned out better than my right eye! This did pose a problem for me as I was right eye dominant. After a year of check-ups and re-examinations, Doctor Mike offered to attempt to correct my 20/30 vision in my right eye. No other doctor would even look at it. I agreed and he did so free of charge! Now my right eye is perfect. I have "fighter-pilot" vison, 20/10 or better in my right eye, with no problems up close at all. I can read across the room, down the highway, or inches from my face, with ease. I can't even imagine what my life was like before. Doctor Mike took responsibility for my care and vision, far above and beyond any other doctor I have ever seen for any reason. I wish I could see more doctors like him in the medical profession. If you go see him, I believe you won't find better care, skill, or performance anywhere. He is quite simply the best. Do not even bother going to see the cattle-car centers out there. Don't even think it. The only doctor you want to see for something as important as your vision is Doctor Mike Mazaheri. Period. read more

I can't say enough about the talents of Dr. Mazaheri. I had LASIK one week ago and WOW! I can see!! I was near-sighted with astigmatism in both eyes. I've worn - er - I wore contacts and glasses since 7th grade (now 38 years old). I just got tired of the daily routine. I stopped in for a free consultation just to see if I could be a candidate for LASIK. YES was the answer. Sign me up. When you have a procedure like this done you do NOT want to mess around when choosing the doctor doing the work. There are your eyes. You only get one shot at this. I could have chosen any of the other "official LASIK provider of [insert sports team]." But, to me that just means the doctor forked out a bunch of money to secure a sponsorship. It doesn't mean they do a good job. Also, I didn't want a doctor who's relying on cutting his costs by a lot of dollars to get you into his chair. Again, if you cut payment costs that means the doc has to cut costs somewhere else in the process. Neither situation worked for me. Dr. M doesn't advertise, doesn't sponsor, doesn't cut costs because he doesn't have to. His costs are reasonable. He has built his practice using word of mouth from his patients. He's an immensely talented man. He knows his stuff and he exudes confidence (not cockiness) putting his patients at ease. The phrase "I've got your back" comes to mind. The afternoon after surgery and the next day are the roughest because your eyes itch. Then voila on day 3 that's gone. Every day I wake up I can see better and better. You'll do eye drops a few times a day for weeks but not a big deal. And Systane eye drops throughout the day help keep your eyes from getting dry. Also, the night gel for the eyes is amazing. I cannot recommend Dr. M enough. It's the best money I've ever spent. read more

Dr. Mazaheri changed my life. Where other ophthalmologists and optometrists insisted that I would be wearing glasses for the rest of my life, Dr Mazaheri saw differently. Every year after my annual eye exam I would leave the doctor's office with yet again the news that my astigmatism had worsened and my prescription had changed. I would leave the office in tears with fear that I was slowly going blind. The last ophthalmologist I had seen before Dr. Mazaheri highly discouraged me from having someone cut into my eyes. He discouraged having any kind of eye surgery whatsoever. I'm glad I went against his advice. My eye sight in 2005 was -8 / +3. I remember calling my insurance company at the time asking for a list of doctors who did Lasik. I was given 3 doctors in my area. After my initial consultation, there was no doubt that Dr Mazaheri was THE doctor to do the procedure. He explained in detail what the procedure entailed and what to expect during and after. I had the PRK done in one eye and Lasik in the other. I think everything took about 8 minutes, at least that's what it felt like. I could immediately see everything around me without glasses. As my husband drove us home, I remember being able to see every detail of the route. It was amazing. I then went home to relax on the couch and watch TV, again without glasses or contacts. A week later, for my follow up, he couldn't see the scar from the PRK, which entails creating an open flap. I go for my check-ups every year, Dr Mazaheri is always very caring as the staff is always polite and friendly. My vision has been 15/20 since then. I can't thank him enough. Thank you Dr Mazaheri. read more

I met with Dr. Mazaheri about 2 weeks prior to my surgery for an initial consultation and to confirm that I was a candidate for the flap-less Lasik - which I was. The office environment was very peaceful, quite, and professional. After the consultation with Dr. M, he prescribed me with an antibiotic and steroid eye drop which I picked up before surgery. On the day of the surgery the nurse had me take Valium and walked me back and took dimensions on my eyes. Afterwards, my eyes were numbed and I was taken back to the surgery room. My eyes were propped open, so that I couldn't blink and Dr. M started removing the epithelial tissue from my cornea with a toothbrush like tool. Afterwards the laser came on and after about 30-40 seconds per eye, the procedure was done. I was removed out from under the laser, eye drops were put into my eyes, and I was able to see - like magic! My wife drove me home afterwards and I slept for about 3 days. I only had slight discomfort, but all in all, nothing unmanageable. The surgery was done on a Thursday and I was able to go to school and drive myself that following Monday. Since pictures speak louder than words, here is a video on youtube of Dr. M's work: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheMLASIKCenter?feature=watch I highly recommend Dr. Mazaheri to anyone thinking about getting Lasik done. His professional demeanor, experience, and education, made me feel really at ease. read more

My wife and I decided we were going to give each other lasik for our anniversary. She and I went to several providers where we met with technicians, salesmen and optometrists, but never the surgeon who would actually perform the procedure. When we saw Dr. Mazaheri at the M Lasik Center, he spent about 30 minutes with us describing how his approach was different from the other providers, and answering all of our questions. We went in a few weeks later for our procedure. The day of the surgery was a piece of cake. Dr. M did all of the measurements himself and escorted us to the chair for the laser treatment. I had very little discomfort in the days after the procedure. It has been about 6 weeks, and I'm just now starting to feel like my vision is where I would like it to be. I have several coworkers who have had traditional lasik with the flap and one, besides me, who had PRK. Those with the regular lasik all said their vision was great by the end of the weekend. The other PRK guy and I felt like we were struggling to see well for several weeks. I wish that part had been made a little clearer when discussing what the post-op would be like. I chose PRK because I didn't want to have a flap forever like with regular lasik, and I'm still glad that I did. Dr. M was great to deal with and the staff were all friendly and helped me feel at ease. read more

I decided to see Dr. Mazaheri because unlike some of the other eye surgeons in Dallas, he doesn't run a "cattle call" type, high volume office. Dr. M doesn't focus on a high volume practice rather, he focuses on a high quality of service practice. From the moment you enter his office, the experience is relaxing, not stressful, and very informative as Dr. M takes time to educate his patients on their individual eye health, various treatment options, and how best to go about maintaining sharp vision. About 8 or 9 years ago, I was an intraLASIK patient at another doctor's office here in Dallas. I was young and my eyes changed since then. Contacts haven't been an option for me since college and glasses drastically lowered my comfort in being physically active (training for the Dallas half marathon). Dr M. offered me an amazing alternative via his "flapless lasik" (an advanced PRK) and in the 6 weeks since the procedure, my vision is strongly improved! Also, this procedure did NOT break the bank... Dr. M makes it incredibly affordable and is very fair in his pricing. The easiest way to check him out is his website: www.thelasikeyecenter.com. If you don't see the value in having this man as your eye doctor, you must be blind! (pun intended) read more

Dr. Mazaheri was outstanding! I am EXTREMELY fearful of anything getting near my eyes, but Dr. M and his staff explained the procedure and helped ease the fear. I had a -10.75 diopter which other surgeons in DFW would not even attempt surgery on. Although Dr. M warned that he would probably only get me to 20/200 or so, it was such a drastic improvement from my current vision, it was well worth it. During the surgery he continually reassured me and help me (somebody who has been known to pass out at eye appointments) get through the short surgery (10-15 seconds per eye with a couple minutes of prep work beforehand). I was driving without the aid of glasses or contacts the following day. Today (3 months later) I am astounded that I actually have 20/20 vision in both eyes. It is amazing to wake up each morning and be able to see the alarm clock without having to put on coke bottle glasses or contacts. Dr. M's treatment and follow-up has been outstanding and I get to meet with him directly each visit. As far as I'm concerned, Dr. Mazaheri is a miracle worker and I am thrilled with the results. I would, and have, highly recommend him to anybody wanting to throw away their contacts and glasses! read more

Several years ago, I went to one of those big lasik centers to see about getting my eyes corrected, however I never went through with the procedure there b/c it didnt feel right to me for some reason. Fast forward to this year and when I discovered Dr M. I could tell right away that he had a deep passion and mastery of the procedure. Dr M and his whole staff made me feel really comfortable about the whole process and why there are significant advantages of having the no cut procedure done to correct vision. The procedure was quick and if you follow his pre- and post-operative care instructions, you will have very minimal down time or discomfort. The day after the procedure, I was very sensitive to light while the lining of the cornea grew back, but the next day that was gone and my vision was really good. It has been 6 weeks since the surgery, my vision is amazing and I was actually able to read the 20/10 line on the screen during my follow up last week! Night vision was a bit blurry at first, but is significantly improved by this point. If you are considering getting laser vision correction, I highly recommended you go see Dr M and his staff!!! read more

When I had my consultation with Dr. Mazaheri I admit that I was concerned after he told me about the procedure. Everyone I know that has had eye surgery had Lasik and I was not expecting to hear of the recovery time from PRK. I had decided not to have eye surgery at that point. After speaking with my optometrist he explained to me exactly as Dr Mazaheri did on how the procedure works. My astigmatism was over 5 dioptre so it was really hard to get a good fit with soft contacts. My optometrist informed me that he would have the surgery done yesterday if he were me and he knew Dr. Mazaheri did good work. He also informed me that he prefers prk over lasik. That was all it took to ease my mind. It has now been 6 weeks and my vision is great. Throughout the whole process Dr. Mazaheri has been great to deal with and very informative and straight forward on every step taken. It is amazing to get up in the morning and not have to go through the process of putting in contacts. I dont have to bug my kids anymore to read labels for me as my near vision is better than I can remember for many years. I would recommend Dr. Mazaheri to anyone. read more

My eyes have both had astigmatism since childhood with my left eye being far worse. I was told that if my left eye got any worse I would not be a candidate for contacts anymore. I had also consulted with other doctors who told me my left astigmatism was getting too severe for lasik. Due to my line of work (wearing a full-face respirator) glasses are not a viable option. After reading other positive reviews I decided to see Dr. Michael Mazaheri at the MLasik Center for his "flapless" or "no cut" lasik surgery. The procedure was quick (less than ten minutes) and did not hurt at all. The best part is now my vision is almost as good as the day I was born. I have never been able to drive without glasses or contacts until now! No more worries about cleaning my contacts or my glasses fogging up or getting raindrops on them! I would highly recommend Dr. Mazaheri to anyone considering lasik surgery as he is very personable, and visits personally with you at each step in the process from consultation, to procedure, to follow-up. He was even able to give me samples and coupons for some of the eyedrops required post-procedure. read more

I was recommended to Dr. M by a friend of mine who has had lasik by him. She could not say enough about the level of great care that they took and how she still has check up visits with him even years after her surgery. After going through the process I completely agree with her praises. From the first consultation it was obvious to me how talented Dr. M was and how advanced and well tested his specific lasik procedure is. Everyone at his office was also very caring and answered all my many questions. They even gave me a discount from recently expired promotion! What more can you ask for? The surgery itself was a breeze and I currently am seeing 15/20. The three days after surgery were not so fun (what surgery is fun to recover from?) and my boyfriend called the office because I was in some pain. They were very considerate and Dr. M was actually there to tell us what to do to ease the pain. Outstanding service! To me it was well worth the cost and the couple days of recovery to have the vision I do now. Dr. M is a fabulous doctor and a good hearted caring man. I wouldn't trust my eyes to anyone else. read more

I, too, interviewed two other centers before deciding to trust the M Lasik Center with my eyes. One of the others had a sales-heavy approach that offered an additional discount if I signed up with them at the time of the evaluation, without even speaking with the doctor. The other made me wait 45 minutes after my appointment time before seeing me, even though there wasn't anyone else in the waiting room. In the end, I felt most comfortable with Dr. Mazaheri, as he personally answered all my questions at the time of my first visit and his staff run an efficient office. I never waited past the time of my appointment, which is important to me. I had excellent vision in one eye immediately after the procedure. My other eye took some time to catch up. As of today, my vision is better than 20/20 and I am not dependent on eye drops or remoisturizers, which was my other fear. It is an exciting technology and Dr. Mazaheri and his staff are friendly, knowledgable, and accomodating throughout the entire process from the initial consultation through the follow up visits. read more

After years of dealing with contact lenses bothering me I finally decided to have PRK at the M Lasik Center. The initial recovery was a bit tougher than I expected, but after that I have been very thrilled with the results. I had the procedure on a Thursday morning and planned to take Thursday and Friday off work. The first few days were pretty miserable. I planned to go back to work on Monday after getting the temporary contact lenses off but my eyes were still bothering me so I took Monday off work as well. I was seeing relatively clearly in my left eye by day 5 but my right eye, which had significantly higher correction, took about a month before it cleared up consistently. Overall, I was thrilled with the procedure and Dr. Mazaheri. If I had to nitpick anything it would be the office and wait times. Replacing a few stained ceiling tiles, peeling wall paper and decluttering a bit would go a long way. Also, during the follow up visits, the wait times reached close to an hour just for the doctor to see you for literally 2 minutes. read more

I had Lasik surgery with Dr. Mazaheri and I love my new vision! I had trouble with both distance and close up vision and had worn contact lenses for over 30 years. I was turned down by two other Lasik physicians in the area who told me I had a very difficult prescription to correct and most people with my vision did not have good results. I met a neighbor who I noticed was no longer wearing thick glasses and asked her about her eye correction. He recommended Dr. Mazaheri. When I went in for my free consultation, I was pleasantly surprised by the visit. I saw one Coordinator and then the Doctor himself. He looked at my eyes and determined that I did have a difficult prescription but he could correct my vision and I would be very pleased with the results. Dr. Mazaheri was very calming and eased all my fears during the awake procedure. My results were immediate and I would recommend him to anyone having Lasik surgery. Dr. M is AMAZING. I went from 20/400+ to 20/15 (I am about 4 months post op). I also had severe astigmatism in my left eye. No side effects or issues whatsoever, though I did follow the recovery instructions to the letter. Price was less than $4k total, which is reasonable considering most other lasik doctors wouldn't even touch me with my eyes being so bad, and it includes all of your post op visits. The procedure was 100% painless. The first few days after are a little rough, but once you get the contacts out you are pretty much home free.. I went to FL on vacation less than a month later with no problem. Dr M even gives you his cell number for the recovery process, that's unheard of to me. The cherry on top is I never had to wait more than 10 minutes to see him during any of my post op visits, usually they would take me right away even if I was early. Overall a great experience, and my quality of life has improved a hundred times over. Thank you Dr. Mazaheri! read more

Woohoo. Doing the happy dance. Thanks to my coworker Rick who referred me to Dr. Michael Mazaheri - I can now see wonderfully without glasses or contacts. I wish I had done it sooner. The office staff including Dr. Mazaheri at the M Lasik Center were a great help. They answered any questions or concerns, that I had. They walked me through the process and explained everything every step of the way - and the video on their website was great - it helped me be at ease. All I can say is thank you very much. Great work, much appreciated. My big day was 09/19/2013 and after over 30 years of glasses and contacts - I am glad I took the step and trusted Dr. Michael Mazarehi with what he does best - no cutting technique lasik (which only takes a few minutes each eye). So far so good and I am loving it. I recommend it to the whole world - it is a free consultation - what do you have to lose? Lastly, all I can say is thank you to Dr. Michael Mazaheri at the M Lasik Center. read more

I have recently had the flapless procedure from The M Lasik Center and I am thrilled by the results and the overall experience. Dr. Michael Mazaheri M.D. is very knowledgeable and passionate about his work and his staff was very friendly and professional. I have thought about having Lasik surgery for many years but was very reluctant because of the risk involved in cutting the eyes. As a mother of three, I felt that I had too much at risk but when I spoke to a friend who had the flapless no cut procedure from Dr. Mazaheri, I felt the need to inquire. For many years I was discouraged by many optometrists because of what they say are short lived results or age factors. I am glad that I finally had the procedure done and the results were immediate. I do recommend following the doctors instructions to insure a speedy recovery. As my eyes continue to heal, I feel like I can see better with each passing day. read more

If you are looking for LASIK in Dallas, you should consider the M Lasik Center. I recently choose Dr. Mazaheri for the PRK procedure, and I couldn't be happier with the decision. From the first appointment all the way through the last follow-up, the doctor and all of the staff has been professional, courteous, and welcoming. Dr. Mazaheri is very comforting, and does a wonderful job of taking the anxiety out of the entire process. The doctor met with me individually and got to know me and what I was expecting from eye surgery. Dr. M answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable trusting him with my surgery. The surgery itself is easy and painless, and the entire appointment took less than an hour, I couldn't believe how quick the actual procedure was. I can now see perfectly without glasses for the first time in years, and I would recommend the PRK procedure with Dr. M to anyone. read more

Dr. Mazahari and his team far exceeded my expectaions during my lasik procedure. He made me feel somfortable from the very first meeting that I had with him, answering all of my questions and putting my mind at ease. I have never once regretted my choice to have this surgery. The results were immediate and the surgery was 100% worth it the instant that the procedure was over. I was never afraid to trust my eyes to Dr. Mazahari for moment. After years of glasses, contacts, and eye infections, my vision is now 20/20! Life is a new experience and I owe that to Dr. Mazahari. From the intro meetings, to the surgery itself, and then to the post patient care, this entire experience has been amazing.
