I am a former employee of Consolidated Protective Services. I worked with Vinny (company president) for a year, and feel I have a solid understanding of his business.
As far as his commitment to customers, Consolidated I believed to be unmatched in the security business so far as I have seen. I know of too many security companies that cheat their customers left and right. Vinny does not do this, and his guards do not either. Vinny has GPS in every vehicle. His supervisors will occasionally check to make sure the service sold is the one being provided. Simply put, Vinny does not cut corners, and neither do his guards if they want to keep their job. I have also noticed a trend in technology in the company. This company is constantly evolving. I have noticed many POSITIVE changes even in the one year of my employment. With the amount of effort and dedication the owner puts into his education and the company, the growth potential is very high.
As for being an employee at Consolidated, there are some things you should know before applying. Firstly, this is NOT a company for lazy guards to apply at. If you are a good employee, he will be fair with you. This is one of the BENEFITS of being in a medium sized company such as Consolidated. He will notice your hard work, but he will also notice areas that need improvement. You are able to speak with Vinny whenever you have a grievance or question. Vinny and I have personally butt heads on occasion, but we always found a fair resolution. If you are frequently making mistakes in one area, he will work with you so long as you show a commitment to learning. I would venture to say that the previous review came from a guard who was used to the complacency and laziness you find in most security companies. I have also NEVER been unable to get ahold of Vinny at any hour of the day or night
This is a great company all in all, especially for the customer. read more
