"Property Management's Best Friend in Sacramento's Homeless…read moreChallenge" I am a Property Manager at a small professional building on Watt Ave that has a constant presence of homeless people camping out in front, which is a problem because of all the trash that is left behind or some of them may be in need of mental health assistance and scare tenants. Reluctantly, I hired Horizon Protection Security because I did not want to add more expense to my operation, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions made! Brent Shaw, who is the operator of the business, has been very easy to work with and will take photos or give me a periodic report of findings. One of the most important parts of his job is making sure the automatic gate is closed at night and he has given me a notice a week before any of the tenants even realized what was happening and I was able to get the repairs done! Whew! [Less stressful phone calls!] The tenants have been very happy and I know Brent treats the homeless people with dignity and politely asks them to move because, homeless people are people too. Thank You Brent!!

Unfortunately, I can't my son didn't recall the security officer's name, but I think it started with a K. My son and three of his friends found themselves in a tough situation when they got into an accident, and one of their headlights was out. The officer arrived and, noticing their distress, took the time to assist them in fixing it so they could safely drive home. As a mother, it's terrifying to imagine your child stranded and vulnerable, especially in an unfamiliar and less-than-ideal area. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to that officer for stepping in to help my son and his friends get home safely. Your kindness in not just passing by but stopping to engage and assist them means so much. I truly hope to encounter you again someday so I can personally thank you for your compassionate actions.

Only one other company, which was not locally owned and was more expensive, had the skills and willingness to build and install the type of system I wanted. Alan was fantastic from start to finish. He was responsive, professional, knowledgeable, and very transparent about pricing and monitoring options. There were no high-pressure sales tactics or gimmicks, just honest guidance and quality work. He completed the installation promptly, took the time to teach us how to use the new system, and even checked in afterward to make sure everything was working well. I appreciated his straightforward approach and the quality of the work. I would definitely recommend Watch Dog Security to anyone looking for a reliable local alarm company.

Yelp definitely came through for us, as we wound up calling First Choice based on the very strong…read morereviews. We contacted Vince, and connecting with him was easy enough. I told him we needed a doorbell/security camera installed, as well as a rooftop satellite dish removed. No problem. A work date was scheduled, and Vince arrived exactly when he said he would. Vince was able to integrate the new doorbell/camera so that it interacted with the existing ringer inside our home, making the transition clean and easy. The camera, as well as our ability to answer the front door from the app on our phone, were done, and everything is working well. The dish removal went quickly, and we no longer have the unsightly dish showing on our roof. Vince's charge for the work was reasonable, and the whole experience was easy enough. Hiring a new contractor for anything always comes with a certain amount of concern, but in this case, all those 5-star reviews were accurate. I highly recommend Vince for any of his services.
