My husband, daughter, mom and I were looking around at local venues for our daughter's event. We met Carl at a venue we ended up not choosing, but as soon as we met Carl we knew that he would be our guy for our daughter's event no matter where we decided to host it. After confirming the location we reached out to Carl immediately to confirm he would travel to the venues locations and without any hesitation Carl said he would be available. We booked Carl over a year out to insure we were on his schedule! Carl was great to communicate with months, weeks and days up until our daughter's event! I am an advanced planner and did not want to chance missing out working with Carl! Carl arrived early looking extremely professional and stayed until the very end! We enjoyed his company and could not thank him enough! Easy payment too...Venmo is our friend! Love how easy it was to work with Carl & we will definitely refer him to anyone that is in need of private security! read more

I got married this past weekend in Alameda at a venue that's a little ways away from the main thoroughfares. We were a little concerned for our guests' cars in the partially lit parking lot across the street and decided to hire security. Carl made the quote and contract process really straightforward and easy, and he was the one who provided security the day of the wedding. When my then fiancé and I arrived at the venue, Carl was standing toward the front of the venue and greeted us warmly. He was a really welcome presence throughout the event and several other vendors and guests specifically noted how much they enjoyed interacting with him. Our event ended a little after 10, but the security contract was through 11 PM. I remember staying after 10 PM to finalize a few details, talk with more guests who stayed behind and do a walkthrough with the venue attendant. While the event was long over, Carl stayed through the duration of the contract which I really respected. If I ever need security for future events, I won't look further than Made Man Enterprises. Thank you, Carl! read more

From the moment I booked it was nothing but professionalism. Carl reached out via phone and we met in person to go over the details of my event. He was on top of everything including reminding us to have extra masks and a thermometer so he could check temperatures. The night of the event he arrived early and was the last to leave and in between he handled it all because I heard about no issues. I will definitely utilize this service again. read more

I used Carl's services and was very pleased. Everything was easy and stress-free, from the booking to the finishing of the job. Carl answered the first time I called, was professional, and asked pertinent questions to understand the full scope of the job so he could be well prepared. Speaking with him on the phone, I could tell he is extremely well versed in the security industry, and an absolute professional! I hired him one day before the job and he made himself available which was amazing. The day of the job, he was willing to come 45 minutes early to prepare, which ended up being necessary due to unforeseen complications with my issue. The 45 minutes allowed Carl to gain control of the situation and allow for utmost protection possible. He charged a flat fee which worked out well since this was a one time job and the hours were unpredictable. During the entire job, he was composed, professional, calm as a cucumber and managed the entire process without my help, which put my mind greatly at ease. I had the help of 3 additional men that day as well, who Carl had not worked with before and he was friendly and accommodating and took the lead on working very well with the others. The outcome of the scenario I hired Carl for went flawlessly thanks to him being early, and a professionally trained security guard, who not only has multiple professional certifications but also is highly experienced. Overall, I'd give Carl 10 stars if I could, but 5 will have to do. Highly recommend his services, and added bonus that he's TALL and TOUGH AF so someone would be stupid to mess with him! Thanks Carl! read more

Due to a few recent incidents, the company I work for found itself in need of increased security throughout the evening. We hired Man Made Enterprises, and could not be happier with the results. We wouldn't hesitate to give Carl and his team our absolute highest recommendation. Thanks Carl! read more

I had attempted to reach out to Carl for security services for an event that I had planned. He was super fast in responding, very professional and nice when we talked over the phone. He seemed to be genuine in caring about my safety and the safety of the event. Carl also conveyed understanding about my situation, and told me that no request is "too peculiar". He seemed very experienced in security services as he was telling me about the different experiences he's had with similar events. His presence on the phone made me feel at peace and more comfortable with having him as security for my event. Carl was very communicative and also willing to do a walk-through of the venue beforehand. He was very professional about providing information if needed. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to hire him for the event since I had found another company as well for a slightly more affordable price for us, he was very understanding when I told him. I felt super bad for taking his time, but he was very professional and understanding of my decision. If it weren't for the budget issue, I think he would've been a great fit. Overall, I think he is super personable, professional, and will do his best to accommodate to his clients. read more

Carl is a true professional. I contacted him based on Yelp and the reviews were spot on. He was responsive, courteous, asked the right questions, an excellent communicator, on time, and provided outstanding service for a large private event. The event included 400 high school seniors. This required a special personality, a security professional who has a commanding presence but is also able to relate to teens in a friendly, patient manner. I am completely confident Carl's presence and demeanor made the kids and the adults feel safe, and as a result there was not one single incident at the event and the guests had a fabulous time. I was grateful to have found Carl for our event and would definitely hire Carl for future security needs. read more

Carl did a great job with process service for me on two occasions. He was right on time to pick up the paperwork in a spot that was convenient for me, and got the service completed. Both times the service took place in a courtroom with a service target who was scheduled to be there, which for some other servers seemed confusing. Anyhow, Carl got the job done, I'll definitely use him again if need be. Price was reasonable too. read more

I called upwards of 30 (yes, 30) security companies, looking for security services for our corporate event. Carl was the only one I called who was responsive, offered full information about their services, cared to ask in-depth questions about what we and the venue were looking for, and replied without delay in all of our communications. On top of all of that, he asked a fair price and provided outstanding and friendly service the night of our event. I would absolutely hire him again for future events! Thanks Carl! read more

I reached out to Carl for support for an event we were planning--an 18th birthday party during COVID--that we wanted to be fun and safe. Carl was quick to respond and when we spoke had loads of great points to consider for our event. He wasn't available that weekend but said he would find someone that would be a good fit for our event. I was concerned about managing the party to an approved guest list and making sure things stayed manageable, but I also wanted to make sure that "the kids" felt safe with the presence of security. Carl had Petrenya cover our event and she was exceptional!!! She was organized, punctual, thoughtful about how to manage our event--but most of all she both connected with the kids and commanded their respect! We parents loved & appreciated her for taking care of the kids safety and giving us peace of mind. The kids adored her for being fun loving and yet firm! She was perfect! read more

We needed to have our house tented for termites and it was recommended by the extermination company that we get private security to watch the house overnight when it was being aerated. After reading reviews on Yelp, i reached out to a few different private security agencies and Carl was by far the most responsive. He made the whole experience very simple and straightforward, arrived on-time and proactively communicated status. I definitely recommend Carl for any private security needs! read more

We hired Carl to work security at a large party and he was FANTASTIC! Calling Made Man Enterprises for our residential fumigation security and speaking with owner Carl Vinson is one of the best decisions I have made. Carl provided security overnight for two nights while our home was tented for termite fumigation. After putting off the fumigation for 17 years I could no longer ignore the problem. But none of the fumigation companies provide on-site security and having read about burglars who target tented homes and enter wearing gas masks and goggles to steal credit cards, passports, and other valuables, I knew I had to either watch the house overnight myself or hire someone. But who?! I searched Yelp for security companies and saw that Carl's company had excellent reviews. Having never hired private security before, I was hesitant. But as soon as Carl returned my phone call, I knew I had made the right decision. He is an excellent listener, his pricing is fair and reasonable, he provided a detailed contract, and he is licensed and insured. Carl protected our home as though it was his home. His company provides that rare excellence in service and purpose. Carl is professional, responsible, easy to work with, AND he is a kind person who makes the world a better place for all of us. read more

Carl Vinson was extremely responsive, we talked on the phone through my security needs (guard my house during termite tenting), he immediately sent an invoice with the terms, I paid a deposit through Paypal. On the date of the service, his partner Ferris showed up right on time, was very professional, we discussed the logistics, and everything went well, I paid the balance upon completion of the engagement. Highly recommend them! read more

We hired Carl to be security for a few days while we were doing a film shoot in Oakland. He was professional and punctual and incredibly great to work with. On one of the days during an evening scene outside on the sidewalk, there were some bystanders who loudly commented on our film and expensive equipment... Carl's large presence was enough to deter any trouble and put our cast and crew at ease. In addition to guarding the location and any equipment, Carl kept a close eye on our cars in the area and at the end of the night, walked each of us to our cars. Even though we ran a little late one night, Carl stuck with us until every car had left the lot and the place was locked up. Hiring him as security was one of the smartest decisions we could've make for our film and I will definitely be hiring him again for any security needs in the future! Thank you! read more
