My tile guy told me how much to purchase based on our space to be tiled. All contractors over order tile to ensure job can get completed without delay. I had 6 boxes of unused, unopened tile and they will not allow me to return it. While it does say that on my receipt after I purchased, I feel they should of verbally explained that to me before I ordered. I would of ordered less, then ordered more later if needed or I would of taken my business elsewhere.

I had only…read more2 bedrooms we wanted to replace carpet with wood flooring to match the wood flooring in the rest of the house. Most companies for such a small job would not put much effort into finding a matching floor. Scott found a great match, but when he went to order it, it had been discontinued. Not giving up, Scott sent photos of our existing floor to his vendors and asked them to bring in samples that might match. When he got them in, we went to their showroom in Conroe (which is beautiful - they have tile, wood, etc) to see what they recommended. We liked it; they ordered it, and the following week they installed it. We have had wood flooring installed in other homes, and usually an installer will just yank up the old flooring & staple down the new. The crew that this company sent came and took up the old carpet, actually re-leveled the floor with a concrete slurry & a big level, put down a plastic moisture layer, then the wood. It could not be a more perfect match!! This company was quick, professional, and very precise!...they even matched the grain of the wood to the pieces of wood from the hall. From start to finish this company and Scott in particular were awesome to work with. Deserving of their name, they are simply Excellent! I would highly recommend them for any kind of flooring work.

The first step was to have the house quoted for the floors, bathroom, and kitchen installed. We were under the impression that someone other than John was to come out and measure and give us a price quote but instead it was John himself, he was on time and very informative about our options of what we could do to our home. After everything was planned out, the construction on our house only took up 5 days and a day to double check everything! Primo was quick to respond to our initial request and provided a detailed and professional construction plan along with a 3-dimensional model of what the finished project would look like. Kevin and his team were able to quickly answer any questions that we had and provided a quotation within 2 days. Primo handled all the inspections and permits required for the Woodlands Association approval. Primo built a new 500 sqft gabled patio with a 7' wide wood burning (gas light assist) fireplace along with sitting benches on each side. The fireplace, benches and supporting posts are finished in natural stone veneer with a "dry stack" installation. The floor was constructed with Belgard Origins pavers in a Crab Orchard color. The ceiling was finished with a cedar tongue and groove finish along with a pony wall and cedar collar ties. To finish the project, Primo also installed new cedar fencing in the back yard. We are 100% completely satisfied with the workmanship and responsiveness of Primo Outdoor Living. They finished the project on time and were completely transparent with all aspects of the construction. In our opinion, Primo has an outstanding team that completed the project as agreed on. Kevin (owner) was at our site every morning to answer our questions and oversee the construction progress. The Primo construction crew were dependable and arrived early every morning. They did not require any micromanagement whatsoever. David, Juan, Jaime, Chealbi and the rest of the Primo staff are outstanding, easy to work with and can be counted on to do the right thing. The company that had come out the day before (large billboard on 105) had quoted us $5,000-7,000(!) to basically rebuild our roof. So we hired Saxon, his guy came out the next day, did everything and then went on to paint all the vent stacks and fireplace flashing. Since then our leak is completely gone and the roof looks better than it ever did. We will hire these guys for anything roof related from now on.

I hired Color Interiors (CI) to install Karndean Art Select LVP throughout house I bought this…read moresummer. Karndean's Art Select is an excellent product that looks like real wood, but improper installation can result in warping, plank separation, waves and bulging, making it look cheap. Original quotes I got for engineered hardwood and for LVP were both right at $17,000, so price wasn't a factor. When I was trying to decide between engineered hardwood and Karndean's Art Select LVP, I explicitly told the salesman that my main concern about LVP was that the installation wouldn't be done correctly. CI salesman repeatedly assured me that he would stay on top of the job to make sure it was installed according to manufacturer's instructions, but once he got my deposit, ~$4,200 of which was non-refundable, he didn't follow through on anything. I had to remind him 1/2 a dozen times about needing to order shoe molding and he didn't check in with the installers once to make sure they were following the manufacturer's installation instructions. Most importantly, they didn't perform a moisture test on the concrete subfloor, or use a 100 lb roller while the planks were being laid down to make sure the adhesive was spread evenly under the LVP. According to Karndean, failure to do these things voids the warranty. In addition to the shoddy installation, the installers were so careless and sloppy that they got greasy handprints all over the walls I had just paid $4,900 to have painted a week earlier. And not only did I have to clean their greasy handprints off of the walls, I also spent 8 hours on my knees washing glue and other messes off of the LVP after they "finished" the installation. When I walk into the foyer of my new house, my eyes are immediately drawn to two areas where the flooring is wavy/bulging and I cannot express how angry I get when I think about this. To remedy the situation, that floor is going to need to be ripped out and a new floor will have to be installed. That would have been bad enough before I moved in, but now that I have furniture in the house, I honestly don't even want to think about what an enormous pain this is going to be. Not to mention the fact that I will also need to have the baseboards repainted, which I had painted a couple of days after the floor was installed (cost was ~$2,300). To add insult to injury, Color Interiors invoiced me an additional $1,800 for floor prep. The purpose of the floor prep was to make sure that any imperfections in the concrete subfloor were covered over and to make the surface completely level. Honestly, if they had installed the flooring correctly and it didn't have waves and bulges in it, paying extra to make sure everything was done right wouldn't bother me. The fact that they had the gall to invoice me $1,800 more than they quoted after doing such shoddy work, however, is infuriating.
