Power washing and sanding... Check, great job. Step 2. Initial stain: We selected the color and bought from Rings End. Some variation in application, but the age of the preexisting wood probably made an impact... OK job. Step 3. Board replacement... Horrible job and here's why: - Sanding and trimming was inconsistent. - Scrap Nails were found in the yard (some right at the bottom of the stairs). - Empty stain cans left in the yard. - Boards either nailed in the wrong place (center of the board results in bowing) or NOT nailed down at all (yes, one board is just wedged in) - Splinter remnants where the nail holes were drilled. - Owner never once checked out the job even when we asked things to be fixed. So all in all... If you are going to use them, keep the jobs simple.

The quality of his work was poor, his communication was terrible (he would disappear for weeks and be non responsive), and he would make excuses for why he couldn't show up. What should've been a short project took nearly 18 months to complete. He cut numerous corners, and we've since had to bring in multiple contractors to assess and correct his work.
