Let me start by saying this is by far the best home improvement experience I've had!! I wanted to redo my entire backyard and driveway since I've been working from home due to COVID and spend so much time in my yard now. I had a few other companies come and give estimates but they were lacking in the design area. Devin and his team really impressed me with their professionalism, creativity, and respect for my property. I did not have to chase them as to when they would be showing up as I have with other contractors. His estimate was very detailed and was easy to understand with breakdown and description. His 3D rendering was extremely impressive and really was representative of what he was able to create. Dan was present every single day to get the men set up and to do a check-in with me to make sure I was happy with the process from start to finish. Each day the crew left my property neat, never leaving garbage behind, and were very mindful to never leave my gates open due to me having 2 dogs. As for the work... I was unsure what I wanted exactly but knew I didn't want a cookie cutter yard like most of Long Island. Dan and Devin both worked with me to pick out the perfect colors and showed me how to best utilize the space I have. With landscaping, they were able to give me more privacy and brighten up my entire yard with beautiful perennials. The hot tub area they created with an outdoor television and pergola will definitely be used all year round. The outdoor BBQ and bar area will be the highlight of my outdoor parties! My favorite touch though was the beautiful pool and surrounding stone with an automatic pool cover which means I don't have to worry about my pups accidentally falling in when I'm not outside with them. Our street has become increasingly busy making it difficult to back up during rush hour. We thought a circular driveway would be a good solution and interviewed a few masonry firms - who either said it wasn't doable in our small space or disappeared altogether. Based on Yelp reviews we then called Devin from Flawless Masonry & Landscape who told us a circular driveway was absolutely doable! I'm not entirely sure where to begin with this review so I'm just going to go ahead and jump in. I own a brick quadplex that had front steps leading down to the driveway (parking lot in the back) with raised garden beds (that could barely grow anything because it was north facing and someone had thrown construction debris inside the bed itself. The stairs (brick) were in bad shape and looked like it had been a DIY project. A few things bugged me about this: a. it looked TERRIBLE, b. all that space was useless (except for growing weeds), and c. I was concerned that tenants walking up the driveway would get hit by someone either coming in or out. I called Flawless since they had great reviews and got an appointment set up for a quote. Don't need to be a psychic to know that the price blew me away, as did Devin who explained everything they would do and answered all my questions (of which there were many). He didn't try to upsell me anything (biiiiig plus), and he solved my problem of worrying about a future accident! The color and material I chose had a two week lead-time and when it was ready he called me up and we scheduled it. This wasn't a small job by any means and I had been prepared to be here for a week--but his crew managed to finish it in one day! And it looks AMAZING. I can't wait to put a wrought iron bench out there, along with some wooden planters and maybe a vintage standing outdoor lamp... Next year I'm having them back to do the parking lot and the back patio (which had also fallen into disrepair)--the only reason I didn't have it done now is because I have a tree service scheduled to take down some big trees and didn't want to mess it up with all the machinery and logs dropping down. read more

Devin did an awesome job designing from the get-go my new patio reconstruction/expansion. Once the guys got going, they worked extremely hard, fast, and meticulously. It was shocking to see the daily progress. They expanded the patio, built an outdoor kitchen, a fire pit, walkway and pavilion area. I gave Devin some creative flexibility and he did what was best for the project, not his profits. They coordinated the pavilion, large commercial grade umbrellas, and other vendors as well (electrical, plumbing) to make it a one-stop shop. Some of the materials were backordered and vendors were busy amid COVID but Devin and team did their best to push things along and get the project done before the summer. My wife and I met Devin near the end of Fall 2015. We had by that time received many estimates, but we knew from the first meeting that his was the guy for our entire backyard renovation. Reps from other companies kept on telling us how hard our requests would be to fulfill. They would say some things were impossible. They said we couldn't get the paver patio as low as we wanted. That the cost and work involved in leveling and moving so much dirt and debris would be massive. Contrast that with Devin. He figured out how to do everything, and while it was a big job he looked forward to the challenge and the possibilities. Within days he had a beautiful proposal drawn up. It had everything we requested, and he threw in a raised patio at the far end of our swimming pool. This was something that we didn't think of, but it made such a difference and provided us with even more entertaining space. We wanted to start in the Fall, but we waited too late and the season ended with is still not having all of he necessary components in place and still undecided on a number of things. In early Spring we again touched base. We had some color and stone style ideas. For the most part we stuck to what we wanted, but Devin gave us some pushback on a couple of things we planned on doing that be thought might not work well together. In the end he was right and I'm happy we took his suggestions. We kept in touch with Devin, and he worked around everything else we had going on. Immediately after our pool renovation began he brought in his team for demolition. I was amazed by how many full trucks of dirt, concrete and wood were moved in just a couple of days. They did a lot of this with hand tools around the pool to avoid damage to he walls. The pool company rep was impressed with how careful they were. Devin was patient with delays in completing our pool, electrical, and plumbing jobs. When everything else was settled he came back in immediately. My wife and I watched in amazement how quickly his team worked. They made cutting and laying stone with perfection look easy. Devin explained that he has a great team, many of whom have been with him for years. I have to admit that I'm an involved client and I ask a lot of questions. I continuously contacted Devin just to make sure of things. He never blew me off. He took care of anything that was of concern to me. The result in the end was perfect. It looked better than in the computer images. We just had a neighbor take a look and she was shocked with how amazing it looks. Worth every penny. After fencing and landscaping this is going to be party central for us and our two daughters. We're calling Devin when we build our front porch in the future. It started out well enough...then crickets Impressed by their yelp reviews, we reached out for help in reconfiguring our driveway, paths and fencing. Stephanie from the office was quick to the draw, calling within days and promptly scheduling an estimate. She sent Eddie who was professional, friendly and efficient. He was on time and seemed to understand the plan and gave suggestions. He said they'd follow up with an estimate and suggested confirming with the town for planning rules. We relayed what we learned within a week, yet didn't hear back. In the interim, we researched materials and diagrammed plans. These we shared with them too. Long story short, we received nada from them afterwards (we reached out to both Eddie and their office a few times). Devin and his crew did an amazing job ripping out my old patio(15 feet by 45 feet and approximately 3 feet high of concrete ) and installed light piers, Pool coping, paving stones, stairs, fire pit, and a huge retaining wall as I live on a corner property that is higher than the sidewalk. Devin was very responsive from the beginning to the end. On his initial visit he looked everything over and answered all of my questions in addition to giving me some ideas. He took some time to take some measurements and a few days later he sent a computer design of our patio and we were floored. When winter broke, he scheduled a date for his "Rip out crew" to come by and tear out my old disgusting patio. They took 2 days and did not stop working(it was a big job). All of my neighbors even commented how professional his outfit was, having his own heavy-duty trucks ,equipment and an army of workers. They swept and cleaned the streets and sidewalk after every day , something I was very anxious about as I did not want to upset my neighbors. Once the rip out was done, he gave me a few weeks to get my electrician and Pool contractor in to complete their work. Afterward Devins install crew came in and installed the stones. Again, same work ethic and the cleanliness. The stone cuts in the corners were flawless(no pun intended). My carpenter/friend was working in the backyard after the install was done and mentioned the nice cuts to me numerous times - my carpenter works on very high end homes in the Hampton's and the north shore of Long Island, so he knows quality. There were a few design changes that his head installer made to make the flow/layout better which I appreciated. We ran into one issue, no fault to anyone regarding 2 of the light piers which Devin is taking care, regardless. I was very appreciative. At the end of the day, the last thing Devin told me was he just wants to make his customers happy so we refer him more business, I guess that is why he is always busy! The only problem was that I couldn't find the paver that I really wanted, it was during Covid and supply was extremely limited. Well he did his magic and found it!! No other company could but he did. Day one was removal of prior work by a team of 5. Day 2 was most paving work by a team of 7. Day 3 was completion including cement delivery and installation by a team of 3. The crew exceeded our expectations and suggested several improvements during the work with no change in pricing. I just wanted to start off by saying I was extremely impressed with this companies website and the work that was done while I was researching mason companies for my paving job I needed . I called to make an app for an estimate and was given an app for a week later . I then had someone come to my home on a Wednesday to look at the job . The scope of my job was walkway , stoop , decent size porch , bullnose around all my fieldstone flower beds and edging border around a very long driveway that fits 4 cars in length . We discussed that I would like to do this in the fall rather than now and was told it was even better for them as well for both price wise and scheduling and would email my estimate . I checked back 2 days later to see how long it would take to get the estimate and was told .. oh I thought it was sent but I'll check and let him know that you called . She also informed me it's usually done same day so she herself was a little confused . I waited the weekend and called again Monday to recheck at which time I was told ... oh , you know what , he said the job is too small and I thought he would have called you to let you know . Completely surprised and now pissed about the lack of respect and disregard for a potential customer it was completely unprofessional how a simple estimate wouldn't have been able to be done regardless of the size of job . And in no way was this job a small job ... might not have been a huge one but no way a small one . I guess you think you're too big of a company and maybe should stick with commercial jobs if that's the case . Too bad because I would have loved to do business with you based off your pictures and website alone and you can keep your fancy brochure that you handed me before you left .
