Anyway, after scouring her special 'shoe closet' I had to build to contain her hobby I located them. Making a command decision on my own I went to this cobbler in Ct since our very very local one has retired. I was EXTREMELY surprised at the work done. They came back polished and all the tiny nics on the heel leather had been fixed as best as possible but they look as good as new. They were both done without me asking and for the price of $15.00 I feel well worth it. Definitely have found a new cobbler !!!

We buy all of our kids' lacrosse equipment at Sartorius now, and they've never steered us wrong. Our older daughter was ready for an advanced/high level stick and we appreciated so much that she could try many different options right there in the store and get feedback from staff members who actually know the sport and could guide her towards the best options for the position she plays. Our younger daughter's goalie helmet had a hardware issue about 6 months after we bought it and I brought it to Sartorius expecting to need to pay $40 for a new throat guard - not so, Chris had the right hardware and fixed it for us in minutes. Their stringing services are also fairly-priced and quick.

Chris and Paul guided me to not one, but two pairs of shoes (Hoka and Saucony) that fit great. My orthotics squeaked a bit in the shoes, but Chris had a brilliant solution that involved cutting a layer of thin material to insert in the shoes. Takes time and skill, but he did it for all four shoes while I waited. Now I can sneak up on people without the squeaking giving me away... Happy and grateful (and stealthy) customer.

The fire is gone. I…read moreremembered The Run In as one of those iconic holes in the wall that all the elite runners knew about and flocked to. Back when I ran marathon I would buy my shoes from nowhere else. That was 25 years ago. Today I took my daughter there for an early Christmas present. That was a mistake. We arrived at 11am and sat waiting until John opened his door a half hour late. As a courtesy we gave him a few minutes to settle before walking in and were greeted with almost a scowl, made to feel like we were an inconvenience. He had my daughter take off her shoes, asked her size and without another word produced a couple models for her to try and walked away. Trying to make small talk with the man to hopefully engage him a little, as a retail shop owner should be, was next to impossible. Top this all off with door handles that haven't been washed in at least 25 years. The inside in disrepair, smelling like a men's locker room with half empty shelves and what was there strewn about like a bachelor's pad. Positively the worst retail experience I've had in a very long time, perhaps ever. My advice to John is sell the place while he still has a shred of brand equity left in the name and call it a day. He clearly didn't want to be there and this was clearly not the place I remembered. My daughter and I walked away feeling very sad for John, very upset with the whole experience, and bought elsewhere. P.S. I tried to post this review at Superpages and was censored. Any 5 star rating seen there for The Run In is completely manufactured. Don't believe it.

They absolutely carry an array of brands and styles and their service is unmatched. Their storefront is small and the building is unsuspecting from the road, but don't let that fool you. They are all about safety boots, minus the unnecessary frills you don't care about in retail anyways. I had the most wonderful interactions with both Sam and Lisa. They were accommodating and helpful and I was able to find boots that were perfect for me. They were willing to order styles and sizes that weren't in stock for me, which I thought was incredible and made it feel like my sale mattered. Their prices were excellent already but they offered me additional deals that were incomparable when searching for similar boots at other retail locations. Their hours were flexible and they were communicative about order possibilities in the future. I would absolutely return for another pair of boots! Highly recommend.
