Had an issue recently with shoes that had fallen apart and been repaired. They made it right. Customer service can not be overrated.

However Zach solved my problem for me without hesitation, even though it had nothing to do with him or his store.

"Don't you know that it's different for girls?" (Joe…read moreJackson) Raising two sons immersed us into the worlds of little league baseball, Boy Scout camping and high adventure, wrestling and hockey fight videos, etc. So, you see, we really had no experience with things like dance recitals, American Girl dolls, Claire's jewelry and Athleta clothes until our granddaughter came around. So she really exposed us to a whole new world. And when we heard that Athleta was now a "thing" for her, we knew where we'd be heading for her birthday present. The Athleta store is located in the Avon Marketplace complex on Route 44. I didn't really know much about Athleta, so I checked out their website and saw their mission statement is "We inspire women and girls to build confidence, strength, and belonging through movement". They accomplish this by selling a woman-oriented product line that includes Pants, Leggings, Joggers & Sweatpants, Shorts & Skorts, sweatshirts, long and short sleeve tops, jackets, hoodies, undergarments, socks, hats, and swimwear. I read that their biggest competitor is Lululemon, and I was also quite surprised to learn that Athleta is owned by the Gap. The Avon store was very neat and smartly designed with colorful displays for jackets, tops, sweatpants and leggings out on display. We had a nice time chatting with their two sales reps about what a pre-teenage girl might like. They were very friendly and fun to talk to. We ended up with a gift certificate that should cover the cost of a top and sweatpants. I certainly walked out of the store knowing more about Athleta than I did before I walked in!

The sales associate told me I should consider getting a larger size and when I said I'm a medium she checked my waist band to "double check". Never going back. Do not recommend this place.

With the current season of fall, you'll notice an assortment of hoodies and warm sweaters. Unfortunately, a lot of the fabrics are heavy on polyester. I always like to check the care tag before making my purchase. This store is well organized and well stocked. They have a nice selection of work out gear, clearance and kids items. The kid's collection is adorable and stylish! I picked up a very cute dress, which I plan on wearing to work tomorrow. It was only $9.99, originally $49.99. The regular prices on most items are unreasonably high. it's a good idea to wait for a sale. Every week something is on sale.

The plaza is huge with plenty of parking. This store was well stocked and organized. I love their clearance sections. I was able to get a couple of toddler shirts for $2 each. They had a good selection of seasonal clothes; loved the Halloween themed outfits. I got myself a pair of sandals for $11. They sell Kinder chocolate eggs but I don't recommend buying it there because it was $5 when you can go across the street to Aldi's for way cheaper. Overall, an affordable store to get some cute clothes and shoes!

However, when I went to the register to make my purchase today a grouchy old lady with a huge stick up her a** had the nerve to tell my twin 9 year old sons to not touch the candy bags on display if they weren't going to buy them. I quickly wondered why she would ASSUME we weren't going to buy them and I asked her if she was in a bad mood. I followed up by saying that I've never heard that people can't look at candy bags or show their parents for possible purchase. She said that many customers won't buy an item if it has been touched. WOW! Is all I can say. The nerve. Everything is touched in their store! Candles are smelled, pillows are squeezed and the list goes on. This lady had some nerve and even the manager behind her told me it was fine if my kids picked up and looked at the candy bags. I mean what's the point of having tiny gum-ball machines right next to the register if NOT TO ENTICE children?!!!!! Anyhow, people are just rude and all I can say is that if you're damn near 80 years old and working at Marshall's just chill the F*ck out. You don't need to act like you own the store and try to make up these crazy rules to try and assert your non-existent power. Maybe CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT THE JOB FOR YOU. If you do have grandkids I pray for them because you do not know how to talk to or treat children.

I'm a fan of this Marshall's; it's big, clean, and organized. It is very similar to the HomeGoods (which is owned by the same company) in the same plaza. I love their clearance racks which can be found at the end of the aisles. A great place to bargain shop. I've always loved TJ Maxx and Marshall's is essentially its sibling. The following types of products can be found at Marshall's; footwear, clothing, bath, bedding, home decor, furniture, beauty products, jewelry, housewares, toys, giftware, and per supplies. I loved their candles and random skincare, and soaps. The clothes were pretty decent if you dig around the racks. The employees were friendly. Overall, a fun place to shop and you can find some treasures; as their slogan says, "Your surprise is waiting and never boring, always surprising."
