TLDR: They do not put the proper prices on their tags so when you arrive at the register they expect you to pay a higher amount than indicated on the tag because they have to "go by the price in the system." They hands down have one of the best ski/snowboard apparel selections in all of CT, but with shady pricing like this, I'll take my business elsewhere. In the end I found the same items I was looking for at a place in PA. This is my email complaint: "I just spent about an hour and a half in your Avon store. I had a wonderful experience with the gentleman helping me decide between two different sets of ski pants and jackets. After working it through with him to decide on the final choices I went to the register. I purchased pants and a jacket totaling $620 then I realized that the jacket came up priced at $60 more than it should have. The tag on the jacket says $300 and your system said $360. The person who was ringing me out would not honor the $300 price as shown on the tag. As a result, I returned the entire order. And I'm very disappointed in my experience. I've purchased from you before and I appreciate the large selection of options that you have and I'm really disappointed that because the price was not marked appropriately that I would be the one that would take the hit and not you.

I contacted customer service and the same person, a man always answers the phone. I'm assuming it's the owner. He told me he would check on the order and get back to me. He never got back to me. Weeks went by and finally I contacted my credit card company and filed a dispute. I just happened to be at the post office picking up another package and when they went back to get it, when they came back out the postal worker said "oh do you know you have another package here for you?" The package from Bob's Sport Chalet had been sitting at the post office for weeks. The man in Customer Service never followed up on the package and it's whereabouts. I immediately contacted customer service at Bob's Sport Chalet and was treated extremely rude and yelled at by the same man that I spoke to in the beginning. (The Owner). Bob's Sports Chalet is owned and managed by Bill and Belinda Gonsalves of Bristol CT. The success of the business is by emphasizing the quality of service. I can't believe they have the nerve to put this in their ads in on their website. He very specifically said he would not give me a refund and they don't deal with people who file a dispute. He hung up the phone. I called back numerous times only to be hung up on again and be cursed out. He's a despicable man and a bully! I'm out almost $500, no fault of my own. The owner didn't care that the items were brand new packages and were sitting at the post office and it was not my fault that they were never delivered. I had every right to file a dispute. This is a horrible business and as you can see if you read the other yelp reviews, it's happened to many others. Please stay as far away from this company as possible, if you value your money and have any Integrity. This company doesn't care about their customers at all!

Before I jumped to medical intervention, I decided to go to Fleet Feet to see if anyone could help me. I figured if anyone had experienced with foot pain, it would be runners. An employee, Dave, had me hop on two pieces of tech that measured my feet, gait, and walking pattern. He was able to identify my size, arch height, foot width, and level of stability. Apparently, I was wearing the wrong type of sneakers and lacked arch support. He fitted me with insoles and a few weeks later, wide toed sneakers. Since then I have had ZERO pain! I realized I had been wearing the wrong type of sneakers my WHOLE LIFE. I am genuinely amazed at how much easier running, walking, even standing is now. I owe Dave my life. Thank you guys so much!

They accomplish this by selling a woman-oriented product line that includes Pants, Leggings, Joggers & Sweatpants, Shorts & Skorts, sweatshirts, long and short sleeve tops, jackets, hoodies, undergarments, socks, hats, and swimwear. I read that their biggest competitor is Lululemon, and I was also quite surprised to learn that Athleta is owned by the Gap. The Avon store was very neat and smartly designed with colorful displays for jackets, tops, sweatpants and leggings out on display. We had a nice time chatting with their two sales reps about what a pre-teenage girl might like. They were very friendly and fun to talk to. I'm a fan of this Marshall's; it's big, clean, and organized. It is very similar to the HomeGoods (which is owned by the same company) in the same plaza. I love their clearance racks which can be found at the end of the aisles. A great place to bargain shop. I've always loved TJ Maxx and Marshall's is essentially its sibling. The following types of products can be found at Marshall's; footwear, clothing, bath, bedding, home decor, furniture, beauty products, jewelry, housewares, toys, giftware, and per supplies. I loved their candles and random skincare, and soaps. The clothes were pretty decent if you dig around the racks. The employees were friendly. Overall, a fun place to shop and you can find some treasures; as their slogan says, "Your surprise is waiting and never boring, always surprising."

I mean what's the point of having tiny gum-ball machines right next to the register if NOT TO ENTICE children?!!!!! Anyhow, people are just rude and all I can say is that if you're damn near 80 years old and working at Marshall's just chill the F*ck out. Jenn was phenomenally helpful, knowledgeable and informative, kind and not at all pushy. I bought my Dad the Brooks shoes which have already helped him. I do like the idea behind their system. It is a 3 part, 3 insert system designed to help the feet to heal. That said, due to my Dad's advanced age (92) and the fact that his foot issue just started, I think it's best he see a Podiatrist 1st. To make sure there isn't something more serious going on in the foot, bones, muscles or joints. Jenn was okay with that and even recommended a podiatrist.
