I saw racks and racks of men's and women's clothing, shoes, accessories, footwear, household goods, dishes, and kitchen equipment in the front of the store. In the back of the store were CD's, record albums, thousands of books, collectibles and pretty much everything. I even saw three Pez dispensers with likenesses of former presidents. Much of the inventory is what I'd call vintage, which is a code word for "old". Those items may not be for everyone, but if you're into old dishes, bric a brac, dolls, China, wall hangings, glassware, jewelry, furniture, and lamps, well Favarh might just be what you're looking for. Today was 50% off day, and I scooped up two ties marked at $2 each for a grand total of $2.13. You might find a thrift store out there with better quality merchandise, but I'm not sure you'll find one with as much stuff as I saw here. And since their proceeds go to charity, it's well worth your time to check out their stock and see what bargains appeal to you.

The employees there are volunteers. Once I walked in, it looked like a boutique. Clothes, shoes, and cutlery/china were in the front area. Everything was organized by size and color. I immediately found a Vineyard Vines sweater that I loved for $12. They have sales based on color of the day/week; I would ask the employee for that information. In the back section, they had household items, books, and miscellaneous items. You can also sign up for their free rewards card; you gain points from every purchase and that adds up for future discounts. Overall, a great thrift store and I look forward to shopping there.

We were warmly welcomed when we walked in and spent a half hour or so browsing around in search of a black and gold gown and black and gold bowtie for a summer event. And where those hard-to-find items continue to elude us, we did see a ton of very nice things for sale. Some of the things were belts, purses, handbags, men's & women's clothing, shoes, boots, sandals, some high end sneakers, kitchen and household goods, small furniture, luggage, and plenty more. There's an upstairs with a coffee table, a bean bag chair and two chairs (and lots of artists wares for sale on the wall). The sausage I asked for in my Eggs Benny was delicious! They were clearly homemade sausage that had a nice rosemary flavor. My husband's breakfast star was the chef made ham steak slices, and the rosemary sourdough toast. Yes, I recommend the food here! We were rather disappointed by the temperament of the person we assumed is the owner... when asked if they would please lower the music a little, because I'm healing from a traumatic brain injury (and it was blasting commercials and music; it wasn't a pleasant music track or album), said with an attitude "Sorry I can't control where the speakers are", and from that point seemed a lot less friendly. Her attitude didn't ruin the taste of the food, but this was a special outing (my first in 3 years since falling on black ice), near Goodspeed Opera House. This is a touristy area and people that run breakfast/brunch spots are usually friendly and eager to help with small requests. Often interactions with the restaurant staff adds greatly to the experience. Her sour grapes and refusal to help me feel comfortable by lowering it a smidge (I was already wearing noise cancelling ear buds, just so you understand how loud it was and that she didn't turn it down even a tiny bit), made breakfast less nice. Is 100 dealers on 22,000 square feet gargantuan enough for you? The sales floor is cut up into vendor stations absolutely crammed with assorted antiques, collectibles, jewelry, stained glass, lighting, musical instruments and LPs, toys, artwork, kitchenware, and tons of just plain cool stuff. Among the treasures we saw were an old tabletop pinball machine, a signed photo of Jerry Mathers from Leave it to Beaver, a Dukes of Hazzard lunchbox, itty bitty metal army men, cowboy boots, dolls, a ton of old Bobbsey Twin hardcover books, and a great Elvis Presley concert poster. Neither one of us are really antiquers, so it's hard for me to make an educated statement about the authenticity, value or pricing of their items.
