My parents purchased solar from a HORRIBLE company that sounds a lot like 'SunFun'. After they passed away, and the house was sold...we were STILL making the monthly payments for over a year!!! That SunFun organization REFUSED to transfer the solar to the new homeowner, and eventually stopped taking or acknowledging our calls. It wasn't until we had to threaten the new homeowner with a lawsuit that SunFun finally transferred ownership. Due to this, we could not trust any of these solar companies...that is, until Kevin Bedard came to our home, and explained everything in great detail to my husband and I. He took the time to hear about our concerns, and he showed us how he truly cared. That same week, we spoke to two other families who shared their positive experiences about Ambrose Solar that made us feel that we would be in great hands. We had FINALLY FOUND A PEACE about getting solar on our home; KNOWING we would be in good hands, and we were ALL IN. It's been six months now, and we are beyond pleased with our solar panels, and the two Tesla batteries we have purchased. We are true fans, who have NOTHING but RAVE REVIEWS for this company. If you don't have solar, or if you need to add solar, Kevin Bedard is your man! and Ambrose is your company. Every employee has been amazing and helpful. Any home renovation project has bumps, and this one had its fair share: after initial install they monitor the systems production remotely to see if it's doing what it's supposed to/expected to, and my system was initially under-performing. They caught it and sent out a team to problem solve it, which took a couple tries, but they didn't drag their feet, they kept on it and kept at it and got it resolved. It was no fault of theirs, just a technology glitch. Core fear was that they would give up after a couple failures and leave me following up with them to get it done, but I never had to worry about that. I also did not end up liking where they placed the control box- it was something that was going to make future maintenance of my house trim problematic down the line. They willingly moved it up a few inches for me (and my only complaint was the team that did that didn't patch the original hole as efficiently as they should have. If I had understood the box placement better on the first pass that would never have happened, so this is a bit of a complaint of my own making.) Jon Landsman, who sold me the system, stayed with us the whole time tracking the project, checking in, and following through on every detail, every question, every concern. He never made me feel like the demanding diva that I am, was always prompt and gracious! The bottom line is that start to finish, even with a few bumps in the road, I have zero question that this is a company that legitimately cares about doing what is right. The culture of deeply valuing customer service that they have built is unmatched by many businesses these days. I am SO pleased, and SO impressed, and I can promise that you will be too!

Though it was a simple fix that i should have figured out on my own, after a number of calls to other solar companies, Tim responded quickly and made the process much better and more affordable. I realize that solar companies are in the business of selling panels and batteries to make a greater income, so coming out for a minor fix is even more appreciated. I did not realize Magic Sun sacrificed the quality of my pool solar to sell me more electric solar... not cool. The pool solar is totally useless, does not produce any heat, when I asked for a review I was told I would need to cut down my (4) Birch trees (very delicate branches) in order for pool solar to work. This was not suggested or shared when installing the solar, perhaps they knew that would be a hard no. I will need to have new pool solar installed and repair my new roof. I am floored that Magic Sun could not manage to provide good pool solar and add enough electric solar to satisfy their profit. 1 star is being generous.

We hired them last spring to re-roof our home, replace some rotted eaves and fascia and replace our old solar system (it was inefficient and malfunctioned quite a bit). We are very happy with what we got for the price we paid, it was a good value. It looks so much better than it did before and is consistently producing more energy. I feel like they helped us make the right decisions through the whole process, especially for system size to be able to keep our NEM1 status. The new roof looks great and works really well. I waited almost a year to write this review to make sure there wasn't any water intrusion during the winter storms - not a drop anywhere. They were in the mid-high range in pricing on the bids we got, but I'm happy we spent a little more went with them. Can a roof be sexy? Ours sure is. All in all, if you need a new roof or solar system or home battery, or all of the above, call Volt. They are a competent and professional group of local people who are really f**king good at what they do.

I selected Spartan because they went the extra mile. I had outdated 16" skylights and Spartan contacted the skylight company and set up special replacements. They also were on time for meetings, had great communications about the process and did what they promised without trying to upsell me. They used quality product and did a super job with repairs around my chimney. To top it off, they were in and out in 3 days and cleaned up every day. That was a huge advantage for us, since other contractors were pushing us toward NEM 3.0. Their sales team was patient, helpful, and not pushy at all. They walked us through our options clearly, were honest about scheduling constraints, and still found a way to get us in on a pretty good timeline. When H on S first set up system they drew up plans with circuit breaker and solar control on outside of house. when the workmen came they put those panels in garage but did not revise plan with city inspector. So when city came to inspect they required the plan be updated before giving approval. Several other issues seemed to arise that delayed the approval. I called H on S and asked to speak to the manager but the staff would not put me thru. It has been so awful. I would NOT recommend this solar co to anyone. My partner calls H on S weekly but never gets calls returned. They have left us very frustrated. Don't use this company.

Many people told us no way the project would be complete by our 3 month target but we were able to move back home exactly when we planned to. The quality of the work was exceptional and Joe provided us suggestions and recommendations while respecting our unique sense of style. I.E. We wanted two mounted TVs in the living room, unique ivy backsplash in the bathroom and removed 5 windows since we like low lighting in the house. We've been back in the house for 2 weeks now and love how it turned out. We are already thinking about future projects (backyard) and hope to work with Joe again.

We had Bill Horbaly, the owner, and his wonderful crew install 9 additional solar panels on our roof, install a transfer switch and power inlet box for our generator in preparation for future power outages, and install 4 ceiling fans in our El Dorado Hills home - all in the same day! The wonderful thing about this company is that they do it all - everything electric! We were a bit hesitant about having them install our solar panels as their 80+ five-star reviews did not include many solar panel customers. When I mentioned this to Bill, he gave me the names and numbers for owners of several homes he had serviced with panels, and when I called them, they all raved about how happy they were with Connected Technology! This company's staff are SO professional, courteous, punctual, and NICE - from their office staff, who treat you like family, to every crew member you meet on the job! The communication from Bill and everyone we dealt with was stellar! And we felt truly spoiled to have four beautiful trucks labeled Connected Technology parked outside our home last Friday with 6 crew members working hard in and around our house. At the end of the job, Bill made sure our solar app was set up and running to monitor the panels, and today he came out again to deliver the 75' cord for our generator and hook that up and make sure it was providing power to all the areas of our house we wished to power during an outage. In my own profession, I often go out of my way to treat customers well. I was very happy and relieved to be on the receiving end of that with Connected Technologies. They were amazingly flexible, cost-effective, and professional. I trusted the team to complete the job because of their confidence and clear explanation of the job. I have two EVs and purchased a new house with substandard electrical. I needed a panel replacement and an EV charger installed. Chad and the Permits Team worked with me on changing needs and timelines. They are solution oriented and, when met with new challenges, always had a couple possible options readily available. There were some bumps along the road, at no fault of theirs, which needed a lot of coordination with the power company and the County. But Jennifer and the Permits Team negotiated the changes and orchestrated a complex timeline. When Install Day came, Chad, Joel, Daniel, Tim and Lance executed swiftly and perfectly. Over the course of the past few months, I embarked on a quest to lower my household energy costs with an affordable, safe, environmentally clean solution that would also add value to our property. After an initial round of interviews and bids, I was discouraged by the cost and salesmanship from the initial vendors. After additional research through EnergySage, I was fortunate to discover the team at Connected Technology. The sales team was very helpful to finalize my requirements and recommend a solution that was high quality, affordable, and readily available. Upon committing to the purchase, a Project Manager and installation team were assigned to prepare a schedule, procure equipment, obtain permits, schedule the installation, and get to work. After only a few weeks, the final inspections took place, and I was able to quickly obtain the Permission To Operate from our utility. The installation went smoothly, and the challenges we faced were met head-on by the project team. After about 6 various days of installation work for three SPAN panels, two EV chargers and soon to add two house surge protectors, the entire crew is professional, work well together and pleasant to interface with, particularly with my many questions. It's visibly apparent their attention to quality work, helping each other and keeping in mind what is good for the customer (me). With many days and my job larger than most, they sent the necessary number of staff at the appropriate times. Additionally, keeping the same technicians familiar with my house to continue my multiple job requests is always a huge plus. Bill, the owner, personally kept me informed and updated on my technical questions. It shows from Bill how well his staff takes care of their customers. And a shout out to their world-class customer service team. This team is surely a stand-out compared to many customer service orgs I've interfaced with, big and small companies. Hired them to install a Tesla universal charger. They are very professional and communicate well with customers. Every step was explained to me. I have spoken with few other companies prior to hiring them and was given an immediate estimate without seeing my electic panel or knowing much about my house load. They offered free in person or online estimate, I chose online estimate. The online estimate tool is designed to assess the capacity of my electrical panel and see if I need an upgrade since I needed a 60am for the charger. I chose this company because they communicated very well with me and I felt I can trust them with the project. They have a 1 year warranty. I recieved a confirmation email the day before my appointment and on the day of the service I was notified about the eta of the technician. The work was done quickly and ( on a rainy day ). All my questions were answered, the area was cleaned after the work is done. The charger was added to my Tesla account and I tested it before the technician left. We recently had our electrical panel changed and the service we received from the professionals at Connected Technology was outstanding! The lead electrician was Jeremy and he arrived early at the house. He reviewed the scope of work and got started right away. He was prepared and clear about his plan. I felt totally confident leaving him to work at my house. His partner, Noel, arrived on time was also very professional and prepared. The work was completed in the timeframe given and their work was so neat and tidy looking! We had to wait for the final inspection and Jeremy stayed until all was signed off and finished. I was so grateful for his attention to detail and his commitment to seeing the project finished correctly. The inspectors checked everything in just a few minutes and the project was finished. I highly recommend Connected Technology for all home electrical projects. The office staff is easy to reach and very helpful, too. After flooding our house just before Christmas, we decided it was time to for smart home upgrades that would help us avoid unnecessary water damage issues in the future. After speaking with several companies and comparing prices and costumer service, we ultimately decided to hire Connected Technology to install 8 water leak sensors and a whole house water shut-off system. BEST DECISION EVER! Some of the other companies we talked to seemed more interested in "making the sale" than really hearing our wants and needs. Bill and his team asked all the right questions, offered products that met those needs and didn't try to up-sale us on unneeded items. As for the work itself...The CT team arrived when they said they would, did the work in a timely manner, took the time to train us on it's use, and have been readily available for any and all follow-up questions. We especially loved that they had trained techies for the tech work, and trained plumbers for the plumbing work. I just had the best experience with a contractor that I can remember. I needed to install a 220 circuit to charge a Tesla Model 3 I just bought. Jennifer who answered the phone answered every question I could think of. When she found out I already had the car, she called the techs and reorganized their schedule so I could have an inspection the same day. When Bill came out, he made suggestions that saved me about $ 500.00 on the installation. The quote was delivered same day. It was lower than the other quote I got. I accepted the quote and they were out the next day to do the work. I received phone calls both times for a time window and then an e-mail and phone call when they left the prior job to let me know they were on their way. Best communication I have ever had from a business. I watched the technician do the work and it was excellent quality. They even installed 6 gauge wire so that I have better options in the future. Connected Technology (CT) is a company that hasn't dropped the ball yet. We have been in constant communication every step of the way regarding our 3 part installation. We had an issue with our Enphase equipment, which basically tells us how our solar array is working. CT diagnosed our Enphase, gave us a solution, fixed it, and in the end came in under budget. They even helped us with problems that were outside their scope of work, by pointing us in the right direction. Another one of the reasons I like working with CT is their communication is informative. They let you know when to expect them and they send a picture of the Technician, via text , who is set to visit. I had been working with this gentleman who really was going the extra mile, turns out it was the owner. They have helped us work through this project with relative ease, and I have no problem believing it will remain successful until completion. They previously came to install an EV charger for me. They were able to give me an estimate after I sent them pictures of my garage and electric panel. They sent me a pile of document with my permits and project details by mail. The estimate was very competitive when compared to other electrical companies in the location. Technician Scott showed up on time on the day of installation. Came in well prepared. He installed it quickly and make sure everything worked before he left. After installation, the permit department called right away and make sure the county inspection would be done asap. What I appreciate was they responded to text messages promptly. This is important especially for someone like me who can't always answer phone calls at work and prefer text communication. No wonder they are certified by Tesla as the home charger installer. I would recommend everyone to bring them in for EV charger installation if you want to get it done properly and strictly adhere to the county's building code. read more

I had a problem with my heating and air-conditioning unit. I was certain I was going to experience the same old runaround that I had experienced with other companies. I called Connected Technology and talk to Bill about coming out and inspecting my unit to see what the problem was. He showed up on time, was courteous and inspected my unit. When he was wrapping up his inspection I was getting ready for the bad news that always seems to come, that It was going to cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars to fix. Bill looked at me and told me that the problem was simply a thermostat issue that was very easily fixed and he fixed it right on the spot. He also told me that even though my unit was relatively old that it still has some life left in it. He made a few maintenance suggestions and that was it. My problem was solved for less than $100. I have been doing business with Connected Technology since 2017. This time they installed two Tesla Powerwall 3 battery units in my garage. The crew headed by Tim and assisted by Carson did an excellent job, arrived ahead of time and completed the large job well before the end of the day. They were well organized and shared job duties throughout the day. The job entailed wiring, mounting heavy panels, running wire in the attic for the heat detector and relocating numerous breaker switches in the main house service panel. The crew continually cleaned up as they did the installation and during final cleanup used a blower to clean out the dust in the garage. This job was more reasonably priced compared to other companies I considered. I hired Connected Technology for installation of a Tesla WallConnected and I was extremely pleased! Despite the fact that the original plan to route the 60Amp conduit through the attic was not viable (due to a wonky construction of our two story house), Connected Technology stood by their already competitive bid and completed the job timely and cleanly by routing the line over the roof. I moved into an older home last summer and had some light switches acting up. I also wanted to get a ceiling fan installed where there wasn't an existing light and no attic access. I needed to have a new circuit run and called several companies. Connected Technologies called me back within 2-hours and set up an estimator who showed up on time as scheduled within a week. They even sent a text with a photo of the estimator ahead of time. The estimate was reasonable and I only had to wait two weeks before installation. As with the estimate, they texted me ahead of time with photos of their installers before they arrived, on time and as scheduled. I was very happy with their work. Glad I went with Hagan Electric to fix this. A previous electrician from Mister Sparky Electric claimed the outlet needed to be rewired and was not getting any electricity. The Mister Sparky Electric guy charged $400 to tell my HOA: "Resident has square D panel which complies with today's standards. No need to change panel." All he did was look at the panel that day. Maybe 15 minutes to say what kind of panel it was and charged $400. Anyways- beware of going to certain companies to have electrical work done. Hagan Electric seems like a good one.
