When I got the "cleaning" I was shocked. It lasted 20 mins, I do a better job with my sonic toothbrush. Then, after x-rays, they told me about all of the problems with my existing dental work, in broken English, and suggested thousands of dollars in "repairs". I went to a better (albeit more expensive) dentist afterwards who told me that I had NOTHING wrong with my teeth. These people are criminals running a filthy rude practice. I would say stay away.

I recently visited a SmileGeneration office in my current town, Dentists of Port Charlotte, I was initially excited because I was hoping for similar service from a product of the same company. Unfortunately, they did not even come close to meeting any level of quality. I miss South Kendall Dentistry. I highly recommend that office to anyone in the Kendall area of Miami. They worked quickly and carefully and had me out within 3 or so hours of arrival. Then Dr. Elizabeth came and said about 2 words and did not even bother to explain anything to me. Lastly, another staff member came and said they wouldn't do the regular cleaning because I needed the "intermediate" which was $120. I told them I made the appointment for my annual check and regular cleaning and that was what I wanted to do. Again, they refused and the annoying receptionist was extremely rude to me because I decided not to do the cleaning they said. Today, one day later I went to Sage Dental Coral Gables and they did not even mention something about a deep cleaning, they did the X-Rays in about 10 minutes or less and immediately proceeded with the regular cleaning and then the Dr. was amazing and actually took the time to explain everything to me. Oh, and all paperwork was filled online and you wait in the car until it is your turn. That's how I feel every time I go see Dr. De-Aguirre which is not often enough but she always makes me feel better after giving me " the bad news " by fixing what is broken and giving sound dental advice. Like Patrick said she never gives you the feeling she is trying to run up the bill on you with unnecessary treatments. I had an emergency where I broke off one of my front teeth and had a public speaking engagement for Rotary in front of 300 people and she got me looking presentable the next day. Make an appointment in the Coral Gables office if you can. She is there Tuesdays and Thursdays - nice location great parking and the best dentist in town with the best smile ! Dr Chaviano and staff was extremely kind and sweet however they wrongly diagnosed me and ruined my…read moreporcelain veneers I waited ten years to get. I was given peridex which stained my veneers three shades darker by the end of the week. Three dentists in NYC confirmed I should never have been given Peridex on porcelain veneers and that there was no issue with the gums or placement of veneers to begin with. There is no way to fix the damage done unless I want to redo the entire thing which is risky and costly. On top of this I spent over 2k getting second opinions as Dr Chaviano told me I would most likely have multiple issues from the veneers placed. All three NY doctors confirmed that was not true. It was distressing, time consuming, and a loss of money to go on a wild goose chase just to realize there was nothing wrong my veneers in the first place. As much as Id love to forget about the experience Im reminded of it every time I look in the mirror and see my damaged veneers. All in all anything cosmetic related Id go elsewhere as I was told "aesthetics are less important than health" when there was nothing health wise wrong with my teeth to begin with. Nightmare experience.

Prior to making the appointment, Jinelle - not sure if she's an assistant - advised me that I had to change my insurance primary doctor's name to this office so that I can have an appointment there. I followed her instructions, but it was going to take one month to apply (mind you, I needed this appointment sooner than later as I was paranoid about something with my teeth. Finally, one month later I asked Jinelle to help me schedule an appointment where she then told me that they do not take my insurance AT ALL. This came as a shock to me because I would think she would've done me the courtesy to let me know this ONE MONTH PRIOR, during our first initial contact. Supposedly it took affect this month, but I'm sure they knew beforehand this would be the case and were ever so CARELESS to say anything. Unfortunately, I've learned there's not a lot of courtesy or empathy with patients or potential ones from doctors or nurses these days. We drove 45 mins to see Dr. Parada from broward and he didn't charge us for a consult and was very understanding and wanted to help us out. He's very knowledgeable, and explain what he thought was the highest priority of concern but not pushing us to have them done with his office like other dental places would. Which we appreciate so much, and his out of pocket prices were the most affordable compared to corporate dental offices. Even his team and receptionist Sabrina were all so helpful and welcoming. She helped us a lot providing options for financial assistance. Great team and exceptional care was provided to my sister. We will be coming back. They have 2 locations, in Kendall and South Miami.
