Timeline summary: - October 29, 2025 - I returned for my third visit to complete and address ongoing issues following prior treatments. - October 30, October 31, November 1, and November 3, 2025 - I communicated concerns via WhatsApp regarding sensitivity, discomfort, and issues with my mouth. - November 26, 2025 - I sought an independent evaluation at Mint Dentistry, where concerns were documented regarding veneer condition and restorative issues. I was referred to a higher level of care due to the complexity of findings. - January 15, 2026 - I sent written correspondence outlining my concerns. - February 2026 - I followed up with certified written notice, after which your office responded. - March 2026 - I provided photographs, external clinical documentation, and additional information as requested. Patient impact and treatment experience: - I traveled to Miami on three separate occasions for this treatment. - During the course of treatment, my teeth were shaved/prepared and left unprotected for approximately five days without adequate temporary coverage. - During this time, I experienced severe sensitivity and discomfort, was unable to eat normally for several days, and was unable to work for approximately three days due to the pain. - I had to travel with exposed teeth in this condition, which caused significant distress and functional impairment. Medical findings: - March 17, 2026 - I was evaluated by Dr. Alberto Lazaro, DDS, at North Texas Dental Surgery (prosthodontic-level care). - Clinical and radiographic findings documented multiple defective restorations, including: * Open margins, overhangs, and over-contoured veneers * Dislodged and chipped crowns * Secondary decay * Gingival inflammation and bleeding on probing * Radiographic evidence of pathology - The specialist concluded that the defective restorations were contributing to plaque accumulation, inflammation, and my ongoing symptoms. - A comprehensive full-mouth rehabilitation was recommended due to the extent of the defects. Refund and resolution attempts: - March 2026 - The provider stated in writing they were "100% sure" a refund would be processed. - April 18, 2026 - I was sent a refund agreement and agreed to a reduced amount ($6,050) in good faith to resolve the matter. I signed the agreement based on the representation that payment would be issued promptly. - I was told payment would be sent that same day; it was not. - Several days later, I was informed that $2,000 would be sent first and the remaining balance within 24 hours; this has not occurred, and no payment has been received. Critical concerns regarding provider identity and documentation: - I have requested the names and credentials of the dentists who performed my treatment more than 10 times. - To date, I have not been provided with consistent or verifiable information. - I have video documentation showing three different individuals performing procedures on my teeth. - The names of the individuals provided to me do not match the individuals who treated me, and the name on a prescription issued to me does not match the names given. - These discrepancies raise serious concerns regarding transparency and proper representation of licensed providers. Additional documentation discrepancies: - The treatment plan I was given in person after payment in Miami differs from the treatment plan that was later sent to me upon request in November 2025. - This inconsistency raises concerns about the accuracy and integrity of the documentation provided to me. I noticed some of my teeth were getting crooked again, so I wanted to explore my options before they kept getting worse. I constantly get ads on social media about some companies where you do it yourself at home and they mail you your trays. This sounded tempting... However, being a doctor myself, I was a bit hesitant when I found out that those "cheaper" options do not take xrays and you do not get to see a doctor during your evaluation or during treatment. Dr. Herrero helped me understand the possible risks and dangers in moving teeth without doctor supervision, as well as the limitations in moving my teeth due to the need of attachments and reshaping some of my teeth to make room (you need the doctor for this). I am so happy I went to see Dr Francisco Herrero! He took his time to discuss all of my options, using state of the art digital Xrays and photos, as well as a clinical exam where he evaluated not only my teeth but also my facial esthetics! The office is super clean, and Dr. Herrero worked together with his team to make me feel comfortable at all times. I am currently using Invisalign to correct my crowded teeth and am very happy that I went to see an orthodontist specialist to take care of my smile. When we visit a healthcare professional, we're not just looking for someone who is friendly -- we expect competence, hygiene, and a professional environment. Unfortunately, this was not my experience at this clinic. From my first appointment, the dentist came across as warm, but overly familiar in a way that felt unprofessional. The clinic itself seemed very low-end: noisy, with open doors, people constantly walking in and out of treatment rooms, and a very odd layout -- including treatment areas directly facing the restroom. I also had concerns about the hygiene on several occasions. During my first treatment, which was supposed to be simple, the procedure lasted over three hours. It was extremely uncomfortable, filled with inappropriate comments and overly personal questions -- often centered around money. The assistants lacked proper training and disregarded personal space, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Despite all this, I gave the clinic another chance for a crown procedure. The crown fell off four or five times, and each time I had to return and wait 30 to 45 minutes before being seen. The atmosphere remained the same: too casual, with the dentist joking around with friends while never clearly discussing my actual dental needs -- but always providing expensive treatment plans. At one point, he even told me one of my teeth couldn't be saved and that I needed a bone graft and implant -- something two other dentists later confirmed was completely false and ethically questionable. I am now seeing a new dentist in a high-end clinic in Coral Gables. She was able to save the tooth and fix what she could from the previous treatment. However, I'm still left with a poorly fitted crown placed by this dentist, with a visible gap between the tooth and gum line. This poor office caused me a lot of stress -- not just because of the quality of care, but also the atmosphere, the long waits, the lack of transparency, and the constant focus on money rather than well-being. I understand that some reviewers may have been swayed by the dentist's apparent kindness, but please don't confuse charm with true professionalism. I regret having to leave a negative review, but I feel it's important to share my experience factually so others can make an informed decision.

Everything and everyone show how serious and focused they are on what they are doing (kids). We feel safe when we go their! My child always leaves that place happy and never afraid to go back their.
