Perhaps this could be a place that services individuals who would like to pay extra for the aesthetic and a "pleasant" staff, but don't let them scam you or your insurance. I'm very disappointed with how they try to upsell services , and over charge you and your insurance even if they are in your insurance network. For those of you who don't know, usually in-network providers are only allowed to charge you an amount which aligns with the policy and all in network providers should be charging the same. If they didn't try to charge me 4x more than the allowed amount per procedure for an in-network provider, $600 for 3 fillings post-insurance, and hold my x-rays hostage until my "claim was filed" only to later release them if I said I would pay until the insurance reimbursed me then go say " it's ok I don't have to pay," maybe I wouldn't have gotten suspicious and they could have gotten away with me paying more and kept my business. They in no way had a convincing story or reason for why the quotes were so high after insurance so I had to spend days learning about how insurance works and investigating only to come to find that they also charged me 4x more than the allowed amount for my X-rays. If they are in your in your network and you are thinking about going with them or had a procedure done with them in the past (OR ANY DENTIST YOUR SUSPICIOUS ABOUT) I HIGHLY recommend calling your insurance to learn what the max allowed amount is for a service code and filing a claim if you happened to already over pay. If this office wants to charge their own rates then that's definitely fine, but don't say you are "in-network" to gain new clients but not follow the policy and over charge the co-pay Thankfully I have found a new dentist who is in my network, follows the policy and was appalled by the rates they gave me and told me that it falls under "Florida Recommended Guidelines" but it shouldn't have been the rate for in-network. My insurance advocate said that these scams happen pretty often so checking that the fees align with the in-network policy is an important part of doing your due diligence with new providers. It figures after making an appointment the same day, the front desk made sure to fit me in and have me checked out within minutes of my arrival. It was my wisdom teeth and an infection thankfully Dr. Perez and his staff were incredible! They prescribed me antibiotics and anti inflammatory the same day. They didn't want to see me in pain and literally made an appointment for me the next day thanks to their front desk Elyanna making my comfort a priority if it hadn't been for her asking me how much pain I was in and seeing if I could get my surgery the next day I would've probably still be in pain as i write this. Anyways she not also did that but she went ahead and called my insurance to see if she could help me out with anything else and she finds out I get two free cleaning a year here. Dr. Perez made me feel at home and spoke me through everything took his time with me and made sure I was comfortable and not in pain and being in the hospitality industry this means the world to me. Dr Chaviano and staff was extremely kind and sweet however they wrongly diagnosed me and ruined my…read moreporcelain veneers I waited ten years to get. I was given peridex which stained my veneers three shades darker by the end of the week. Three dentists in NYC confirmed I should never have been given Peridex on porcelain veneers and that there was no issue with the gums or placement of veneers to begin with. There is no way to fix the damage done unless I want to redo the entire thing which is risky and costly. On top of this I spent over 2k getting second opinions as Dr Chaviano told me I would most likely have multiple issues from the veneers placed. All three NY doctors confirmed that was not true. It was distressing, time consuming, and a loss of money to go on a wild goose chase just to realize there was nothing wrong my veneers in the first place. As much as Id love to forget about the experience Im reminded of it every time I look in the mirror and see my damaged veneers. All in all anything cosmetic related Id go elsewhere as I was told "aesthetics are less important than health" when there was nothing health wise wrong with my teeth to begin with.
