They charged $300 for X‑rays and added $170 for flossing half of my husband's teeth -- nothing more. Having been treated by world‑class dentists, including Dr. Lindsay Pankey Sr. & Jr., I know what ethical, skilled dentistry looks like. Towncare Dental Pinecrest is the opposite. Their priorities are financial, not clinical, and certainly not patient‑centered. I reported the incident to my insurance, though I doubt anything will change; the system protects revenue, not patients. If the ADA truly monitors practices like this, they should intervene. Dental cleaning and true dental care should be separate disciplines -- just as a pedicure is not the same as seeing a podiatrist.

A competent office staff will check coverage before they service you. I guess they don't care because they will just bill you and add service fees. Do they consider that an honest way to make a living? And don't be fooled by their website! My hygienist Luciana was not only kind, but super thorough and gentle! I said it...THOROUGH ANNNNDD GENTLE. Those two things are hard to find in one hygienist. She took her time to answer my questions and patiently explained things to me. She's amazing! Dr. Traina makes you feel as if you've been her patient for a lifetime. Few dentists have ever gone the extra step to ask about me about me! She gets to know her patients as people not just names on files and screens. She makes you feel so comfortable.
