This review is a bit overdue, however, Nick & Johnny with Conejo Valley Plumbing are just awesome! It's really tough to find good/honest plumbers and these guys are superstars. They are always cheaper than the "other" big company in the area, who charge an arm and a leg just so they can maintain their fleet of trucks ;), however they don't cut corners and do inferior work. In fact I would say it's quite the opposite. It's a family run business and they are just down to earth, professional & knowledgeable guys who really look out and do what's right for their customers. I have a rental townhouse in Malibu and had a leak at the clean out inside my unit. They quickly determined that it was a faulty installation of the clean out cap and needed to seal it and reattach. I turned to Yelp to find a plumber with expertise to install an earthquake shutoff valve on our gas line coming into our late 1960's home. I wasn't pressed for time but just wanted to find someone to entrust with this work. John the owner responded almost immediately (despite it being late at night) and after connecting by text messages the following morning, he was at my house within an hour. He provided a free quote which was very reasonable, and to my surprise he said his team could get it done the same day. Wow! I of course said yes. His team was actually his two sons who were extremely personable, respectful, and just plain fun to talk to. They completed the job in less than 45 minutes. This is a very professional and knowledgeable family-run business. What I really liked was that, compared with other quotes I received, John knew exactly the "right way" to install the valve. My scenario had different pipe sizes and he knew which valve size to buy based on the building requirements. I didn't know this and would have done it incorrectly had I tried to do it myself. My water heater started to leak in my garage. It was over 15 years old. I called one of the plumbers listed on the internet and received a price for a new water heater and was told it would be a week to get it. I called Conejo Valley Plumbing Co. and left a message. It was past 5:00 pm on a Friday night and did not expect a call back until Monday. Within 5 minutes John (the owner) called me back. He gave me price that was 1/3 less than the other company. John told me that price included an expansion tank that was required by code. John had his two sons at my house within an hour to start the drain on my tank. At 9:30 am the next morning the sons arrived at my house and installed the water heater. They took the old water heater away. They were most professional and left the location very clean. These two brothers are top notch. I called on Saturday morning and they can at noon. That's great in itself! I had Mike diamond the smell good guy check out my double sink in my master bathroom. He said it couldn't be done without either going on the roof, into the attic or cutting a hole in the wall. He didn't do anything like that. I asked him to try his snake he said if it didn't work he still had to charge me $99. He couldn't do it. These guys came in. Snaked it and cleaned up in 20 minutes. Perfect job. Not a problem at all. Finally found a reliable and friendly neighborhood plumbing company. Our kitchen sink has been leaking water for a while, and we called Conejo Valley Plumbing. The two brothers came and did a free inspection and told us the faucet needs to be replaced. We bought a new faucet and called again the next day in the morning. The brothers came again in the afternoon and installed the new faucet in less than 2 hours. We also told them that one of the toilet sinks is leaking and they repaired that as well. My wife and I met Johnny in the parking lot of the 99 cent store. We had already had a very bad experience with Dutton Plumbing and my wife ask Johnny if he would be willing to come over and take a look. Johnny said no problem and came right over and took a look at it. Johnny and two of his sons came over to the house the same day. They went onto the roof and ran a camera down the exhaust pipe so they can see what the issue was. There were some leaves and things from an overhanging tree and just to be extra nice they cleared off the entire roof of all of the leaves and branches, they even cut back a few branches that were hanging over a little bit too long. One thing I can say about Conejo Valley Plumbing is that when they start a job they did not stop until the job was finished 100% And the toilet was flushing like it should. read more

Couple days ago, we had a pinhole leak in our circulation line connecting to the water heater. Called couple companies, where first one initially came out, charged me a huge Svc charge, took a look and told me I had to change the line, water heater, and few other things or else I'll have continued problems. Didn't feel right. The next day, Johnny from CVP called and told me to send pictures to him and troubleshooted and told me what he'll be doing right off the bat and for all that I didn't even get charged! So gracious of him. His sons came out within an hour, changed out the line in less than an hour and now we have our hot water back! Called on Saturday and spoke with Johnny. For those getting his voicemail, I recommend calling back as he gets lots of calls. Johnny came over within a hour and identified my problem right away. He gave me advice to try and fix the problem on my own before having to dispatch his team. His recommendation worked and I successfully fixed the problem!
