This is a reliable go-to coffee shop in Riverside. There's a good amount of seating (although it does get busy sometimes) and the wifi is good enough to get work done. The aesthetics of this place are very simple and natural, which makes for a great Instagram photo opportunity. I've been here a handful of times and gotten a cold brew, flavored latte, and matcha lattes. One of the cold brews I got was a little on the sour side which was disappointing but their matcha lattes are perfectly sweet and creamy. The time I got a cold brew, the drink had a fly in it because they keep fresh plants indoors but when I pointed it out the staff quickly remade my order. One of my favorite things to do after coming here is to walk around the riverside plaza area while chatting with friends. read more

Hello, I just had an awful experience today at condron. I ordered a matcha with half vanilla sweetener, almond milk and cold foam. The lady repeated the order back to me and I thought everything was fine, and I left a tip as well. 15 minutes go by and I still don't have my drink when other people behind me are getting theirs and leaving. I give them the benefit of the doubt and think maybe matcha takes a little longer to make until I heard other matcha drinks being made and taken out. I go up to the barista and tell her I haven't received my drink and it turns out they made it wrong. I tell her the right order and she says she'll make it . It finally comes up after a couple of minutes and I get the drink and it's made wrong. They added full sweetener instead of the half sweetener that I asked for. This is really upsetting because I got this drink for my mom who cannot have a lot of sugar for health reasons. I'm very disappointed that I payed almost 10 dollars for a drink that I had to wait nearly 20 minutes for it to be wrong. read more

Came during midweek lunch time. VERY helpful baristas, recommended drinks for us. We both tried the seasonal specials, raspberry mocha, honey rose latte and flat white. They were all very delicious they could've been warmer temperature for "hot " coffees, next time we come we'll just ask to heat them up. This coffee shop is very cute in a hidden corner but very charming exterior. The inside is equally nice and seems to be very popular with the college crowd so you might have to search for a spot if your looking to stay to study or do any kind of computer work. Parking is ample and plenty of street parking as well as behind the place. The drink menu is pretty large but also not overly complicated. They have a little merchandise corner. My drink was very yummy and I highly recommend this spot for a casual drink. I do wish they had maybe more food options because I didn't see much of a food menu. You definitely come for a drink and only a drink. They didn't seem to carry the casual coffee corner treats but that's ok. It's still a spot worth your visit and the atmosphere is very cool. read more

I'll start by saying they had a really good matcha latte! The quality of the matcha was great. I got an iced oat milk matcha with pistachio cold foam. They lost stars due to the service. My friend and I both ordered breakfast burritos. My burrito didn't have cheese on it (I was given someone else's order). My friend didn't get her burrito until 40 mins later- after 2 remakes. The first time there was hair in her burrito and the second time they put cheese on it (she ordered it without cheese). Now, after she found hair in her burrito ALONE, that should have been grounds for a refund AND a remake of her meal! And then to be given an incorrect order again after that and STILL no offer of a free drink or a refund. I feel like exceptional customer service would have been to offer her some type of compensation for having to wait 40 mins to get her breakfast order right. I tried to explain the disappointment of hair and then an incorrect burrito to the lady that helped us in the nicest way possible, but it went over her head and only offered to remake the burrito again smh. And I took the L on my burrito that wasn't prepared the right way also. Although everyone was nice, I think maybe the employees there are lacking in customer service experience/skills. I was excited to try this place, a cute boutique coffee shop. From the outside, the building looks small but I was pleasantly surprised to see how much seating was available inside. Super cute, we'll decorated and very warm without being over done. The drinks were good, coffee was strong and staff was polite. This place has such a nice, clean vibe inside, a perfect place to study by yourself or with some friends, and I've utilized that opportunity numerous times. I've got to be honest though, the drink have missed the mark several times, which is genuinely sad as they were known to have some of the best coffee around in pre-covid times. They have new drinks coming out all the time, so I will definitely keep coming by to see if any really catch my attention as this place is truly a fine establishment. The staff are so unbelievably nice, friendly, and funny. They don't ever have more than 2-3 on duty so during the busy hours they do get pretty backed up, but when you're talking to them you will always have their full attention. First impression upon walking in was that the space is very bright and open, very spacious! Lots of seating. It was pretty quiet, so would be great for studying but I think I would be uncomfortable meeting up with a friend for coffee here, I would feel like everyone would hear everything I am saying and that I might be disturbing those around me. I am not sure if it's just because they're so new or if minimalism is the vibe they're going for but the back bar area and menu is minimalistic as well. I am not saying that's a bad thing! Sometimes it's nice to not have a overwhelming menu and usually most people know what they like and their menu definitely covered the basics so I am confident everyone could find something they'd like but don't go in hoping for some kind of elaborate Starbucks-esque menu. I'm not complaining but maybe some extra syrup options would be great. I ordered a seasonal beverage, the Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte, with oat milk. After $1.00 tip, it came out to $6.75. That's more than I like to spend on a coffee, especially 16oz (I think? Could have even been 12), but I figured for my first shot of trying them I'd make sure it was something unique to them... and the tip was well deserved as the barista was very friendly to myself and others. I was relieved that the latte wasn't the slightest bit bitter, my biggest complaint with a lot of mom and pops. Lastly, the shop is tucked away from any main streets and you wouldn't see it unless you had to go to one of the random nearby stores... but I think words going to get out quickly and business will be great for them and it's worth a trip over! read more

I really wanted to love this place but couldn't. Staff were not very attentive. Cold brew was a little sour and watered down. There wasn't a line but it took a while for my cold brew, with half and half, to come out. The person making my drink was talking to another employee and didn't rush to complete my drink. I usually don't mind waiting for a drink if it's busy, but this was a simple make and no line. I couldn't help but feel like they were less interested in getting my drink out when I didn't leave a tip at the register. They were friendly at the start but after ordering, the mood was different with the staff. Condron Coffee is a curious and funky local coffee/espresso bar located in Riverside near the Riverside Plaza. They are located on Sunnyside Dr, along with a few unique thrift/vintage shops that help add to character of the entire block. One of Condron's biggest strengths is the selection of unique and delicious specialty and season coffee/tea based drinks. Their "drink pallet", so to speak, often mirrors the tastes of the seasons; and one of the best ways to keep abreast of their creations and offerings is to follow their Instagram account. I would say their flavor selection of drinks is best described as far more than Starbucks and less than Dutch Bros. There's many, many flavors to try. My personal fave is in the Fall when they feature their Autumn iced Tea; some of the best iced tea I've ever had. The shop itself is bright and airy from all the windows; with somewhat minimalist but whimsical decor. The public Wi-Fi here is robust there are usually college students dotted throughout. The background music level is at a light, comfortable level. The general atmosphere in the place borders on hipster but doesn't quite wade into pretentiousness. The baristas themselves are very knowledgeable and it's obvious they care about their craft. The few times I've asked for recommendations they spent time asking me questions to learn what I liked before making suggestions;, and so far they've been spot-on Overall I'd say I really like this place. Condron embodies the spirit and soul of what a quality local coffee/espresso bar should be like. I just wish I lived closer to experience them more often. 4 solid stars with the 5th reserved for further exploration of the menu. read more

I've always lived in cities so cute little coffee shops were one in a million, in riverside not as much.. I've tried majority of them and nothing has quite fit my individual taste. When I found Condron I was immediately in love. I dig the atmosphere. The location is perfect and the simplicity of the brick building gives off such a cozy soft vibe. The coffee is bomb AF too which only adds. The chai lattes are good as well and not one of those overly sugary syrup tasting chais that a lot of other riverside spots dish out. My go to is a matcha with oatmilk and that's where this place really sold me. First off, they use a quality matcha brand which I've used on my own for years (Mizuba). A lot of places will offer a matcha that's either milk based, filled with sugar, or tastes of artichoke or grass lol. I've noticed that they premix the matcha and have it in a bottle which I think is so smart especially when it comes to the busy hours. I have yet to receive a grainy matcha. Milk alternative options are available which is always nice. The treats! They have amazing baked goods. Always rotating and unique. Also available in vegan options. Have yet to try one that I have not liked. They also have cute home made doggo treats. Got me there too... And last but not least, the staff. They are all so sweet and kind. Great with returning customers and just make you feel at home. Everyone I've met has been be exceptional. They definitely add to the atmosphere in the best of ways. Overall this spot hits. Came to meet a friend for coffee and homework and this place has been on my to go list for a while. Baristas were friendly and the decor was very minimalistic which I liked. I got a iced mocha latte with almond milk and it was good. It was better than Starbucks but I think Molinos has the superior mocha. Got there around 1pm so I was bummed we missed out on the pastries. Also, there's a lot of seating but no wifi (so take a hot spot with you) and not very many outlets. We ended only staying for an hour because we needed to charge our laptops so we headed to Starbucks over by UCR instead. Overall, cool vibe, nice people, good coffee. If I'm in the area I might stop by for coffee and a pastry but won't go out of my way to come here. read more

The staff are really nice, and the vibe is super chill. The coffee's good, so it's a solid spot for coffee lovers. But if you're a matcha fan with high standards, this might not be your place. The matcha isn't high ceremonial grade, so it might not live up to your expectations. I'd go back here again as a study spot though. read more

I've tried this place a few times, but each time I've only gotten the iced matcha latte with oat milk and agave. It's so good! It's definitely better than the matcha at Starbucks. Each time I've gone in the workers were very friendly & fast. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area! The only downside is that the parking area is so small and shared by other businesses, but I wouldn't let that stop you from going. Looking forward to coming back to try different drinks! read more
