I came here with a group of 4 on a Sunday night for my birthday dinner. There was only a 5 minute wait and we were quickly greeted by our server. She seemed a bit flustered due to another tables issues, and she didn't hear me order salsa with our apps but no biggie... the smoked queso and guacamole were very good. We also got the 2 margarita flights for $20. The glasses were described to us as "very small" so I'm thinking maybe like 3 sips per drink? But it was more like half of a margarita. My fiancé and I couldn't finish them all but they were all very good! For the tacos I got the Korean bbq and Baja shrimp. Both were ok. My latest visit to Condado Tacks was just ok. I left full, so the basic mission was completed. The two vegetarian tacos ordered by my plus one were the highlight. We also ordered chips and salsa, and the salsa was so bland that we asked to swap it for guac and hot sauce. The guac wasn't much better, and we used the extra salt from a margarita mug to season it. The hot sauce request went unanswered, but we didn't make a fuss because the place was packed and our server was busy. My advice: stick with the tacos they suggest on the menu, and skip the salsa and guac. The latter aren't worth it. read more

This location of Condado is always consistent. Because it is near the convention center, it can get busy if there is a convention in town. I always recommend starting with one of the dips--a small size is perfect for sharing with two people. The queso is great! As for tacos, the have an extensive menu of pre-built tacos or you can build your own. Be sure to pay attention to which tacos are marked as "spicy." They also have bowls now which adds some nice variety. The inside is very colorful with lots of artwork. No plain walls in the whole place! read more

Delicious Mexican fare close to tourist attractions. We popped in after exploring Senator John Heinz History Center. We were seated right away in the upstairs section and when we arrived, we were the only party up there. It was nice having the whole second floor to ourselves for a bit. Our waitress, Sam, came over to say hello and bring waters. She was bubbly, helpful and a breath of a fresh air. We truly appreciated her waiting on us! To start, we ordered the street corn guac. The chips were warm and crispy, and the guac was incredible. The roasted corn and Cotija cheese mixed in nicely with the guac. Highly recommend this! I ordered two meatless tacos, which were tasty, but too spicy for me. Rango Tango was slightly less spicy but still on the spicier side. I removed some of the jalapeños from my Power Plant taco and ate most of it. I enjoyed the shells on both tacos, though. The restaurant was clean, bathroom was fully stocked and the artwork was dope. While in Pittsburgh for a volleyball tournament we snuck away for a late lunch (taco and margarita). Short walk from the convention center! We were able to snag a seat at the bar and ordered quickly. I stopped by Condado for a quick bite to eat while on a 2 hr Greyhound bus layover. I walked there from the bus station, which was only one block away, so I don't know how parking is in the area. I sat at the bar. The bartender was very pleasant. The taco and mocktail margaritas I had were tasty. You gotta build your own taco when you eat at Condado. It's so fun & tasty. I always find myself randomly getting Condados and enjoy it every time. I love getting their guacamole and their taco options are great. It's nice for a quick bite and to just go with a bigger group of friends. Their margaritas are good, they are just a bit too sugary for me and I always have a sugar crash after having 1-2 drinks there. Ordered pick up on a Sunday night. The place was packed, seemed very hipster filled. Was told to go to the pick up window on the other side of the building. Waited for about 5 minutes before someone even came up to the window. When I took it back to the hotel, I realized there were no utensils. Luckily the hotel had extra. Now the food. The swole bowl was a let down. There was SO MUCH rice. The flavor was bland, nothing special about it. The street corn guac was better than the bowl. It was 90% guac and not enough corn. We (about 15 of us) visited this place before the Bruins / Penguins game. We sat downstairs. It is a cool spot. They have a nice-sized bar with some high tops and tables by the windows. The server for the high tops and our bartender were great. Our bartender was super funny and made us all feel at home. They were so quick getting us drinks of all types. They had an enormous collection of tequila. The bartender made some of the best margaritas I have had. The sour mix is made on the premises, and they use high-quality ingredients. Best yet, they are pretty strong! We also had some amazing street tacos. I had the barbacoa tacos, and they were amazing - great flavor and excellent tortillas. The swarm of crackheads loitering around the entrance should've been a red flag, (a few of them wandered in throughout my time inside) but I was hungry and desperate for a meal. I would've been better off starving. Service was absent even though the place was empty. The food was gross, resembling a microwaved frozen meal but worse. There is a large variety of tacos, burritos, and bowls to select. Looks of drinks options as well. I select the chicken bacon ranch burrito pair with a frozen margarita. The burrito was so-so all the components were there but not mixed together. So a bite would have a ton of bacon or tons of cheeses. Also I think the bacon was really salty. The decor is bright, fun, and inviting and they have a variety of seating options from low tables to high tops and some bar seats, as well. This location has seating both upstairs and downstairs with bars on each level. We came as a group of 4 and sat downstairs. Our server was friendly and prompt. I had a classic skinny margarita and it was as expected. I think it's a fair deal for $9.50. We split the half portion of the dip trio and asked for more chips towards the end. Called to ask if they offered take out and was told I could not order over the phone. No problem, I was about a block away and when I entered the restaurant was given a menu and told to sit at the bar to order. No real space at the bar so I stood near it and tried to figure out what to order. After about 10 min, the bartender said to me that I'd be better off ordering online, that it was busy, it was dinner time. So, I put the menu down at one of the empty tables to look for something in my bag and the bartender said to me that I could not sit down at the table - that it was for people eating in. I handed the menu back and left. Making customers feel like they are bothering you and are in the way (which I was not- worked in food service and know not to be in the path of servers delivering meals) is not a good business model. And I'm 100% sure this stunod slinging alcohol did not offer the same sentiments to the customers sitting at the bar holding menus and trying to order. Glad I walked out, may the idiot bartender receive the same treatment ten-fold. read more

Our visit started when we walked in the door, asked for a table for four, and was told it would be about a half hour wait. However, there were two tables open. We found a space at the bar for the four of us, which was fine. however, we noticed all through our meal that those two tables were still empty. We just found it strange that they couldn't see us at those empty tables. Although the service was slow, the drinks were good and the food was delicious although my burrito was pretty cold. We had a good time overall--food was great and the bartenders were excellent--but unfortunately, our experience with our server, John J., really detracted from the evening. From the start, he seemed more focused on who was sitting at his table than on providing good service. We had a group split between the dining area and the bar, including someone in a wheelchair who couldn't easily sit at the bar. Instead of being understanding, John made a big deal about who was ordering what and where people were sitting, which made things unnecessarily awkward and uncomfortable. It honestly felt like he was more concerned about his tip than making sure we were having a good experience. When we asked a simple question about whether a dish was spicy, his response--"It has a flame on it, so maybe. Look at the menu"--came off as dismissive and rude. read more

We have had authentic Mexican out in CanCun and California so this was so far from Mexican tacos. Not close to Tex Mex southwestern, it was more on the plain side. Even the agua fresca tasted off. It tasted like when fruit starts to ferment, nothing Fresca about that! We first ordered chicken southwest and beef braised brisket, the we created our own chicken and beef with various different fillings but all lacked flavor and were not fully filled. The chicken one came with cabbage which we didn't ask for. This was the first place I've been to that had no hot sauce at the tables. The service was fast, friendly and attentive. If I was drunk I probably would've loved the food! This seems like the type of place you go when your shitfaced and want something quick to bite on. The artwork is really colorful and creative. Fantastic tacos! We ordered tacos to go when we were in town for a concert. The tacos were spot on. I loved everything about them. The tacos were even labeled on a box so we knew which tacos were which. I built my own tacos. The carne asada was amazing especially with the house salsa. I also had a Buffalo chicken taco which was pretty good as well. Had a bit of the Korean taco and that too was amazing! My entire family was happy with their tacos and service! Had been to a Condado in other cities and loved it. Today was just disappointing. Ordered the trio of dips as appetizers. The queso was bland with a few pickled jalapeños on top. The guacamole which came in the trio was really cold like the avocados had come straight from the fridge. We always loved the street corn. When I had it Indianapolis the corn was hot and toppings were cold. We loved it. Here the corn and all the toppings were just really cold. If the corn had been sautéed, it wasn't on the day we came. We also had some Power Plant and Rango Tango tacos. The Rango tango tacos were tasty but cold. The tofu was cold to the touch. The Power Plant tacos were like playing the lottery. My sone ordered 3 of them without jalapeños. The first one was really spicy. The second one was good. The third was very spicy again. I had one with the jalapeños. I like very spicy food. Took one bite and this taco was far beyond anything I could handle. I removed the jalapeños (there were 9). It was still incredibly spicy. I literally was scooping queso in my mouth and sucking on ice to cool my mouth. I tried removing most of the cabbage which had some sauce on them. This made the taco more manageable. I don't know if they had a new cook or what the excuse was, but this meal was downright aweful. read more

One of the only restaurants around open near the financial District on a Monday evening past 9 o'clock, that offered more than fried food. I took a seat at the bar and was super excited for their menu of amazing margaritas, options for build your own tacos, or order from their preset menu. Super affordable for the area compared to all the other pretentious places that offer mediocre meals for the price. The bartender was great but working alone. The bar is on the ground floor with additional seating upstairs. The interior is fun. Loads of art and graffiti on the walls. Only note is the air conditioner is super loud when it comes on. I thought it was a downpour outside, on a metal roof. Easy to find but not the best area. Cops were hanging out on the curb and still again tonight. Guess it's safe enough. read more
