Visited Condado Tacos for a quick lunch while out and about on a Saturday. It was a beautiful day, so we intended to sit outside, but opted to sit at the bar since all of the window/doors were open and allowing a great breeze. It was less busy inside too, so that was an added bonus. Started with Margaritas, house original and house pomegranate. Both were mediocre for the price and could have used a little bit more fresh flavor. You could tell they were premixed. Then we both ordered two tacos. I went with the Ooey-Gooey delicious and packed with flavor and heat. Then also the Heater - which was good but really lacked having enough steak to eat the whole taco. My husband did two build your own tacos, one with ground beef and the other with steak. He also felt the steak taco missed the mark for amount. Service was good, but wish the drinks and food just had a little better punch to leave a lasting mark. read more

I ordered the "BudBox" through Door Dash and it was soooo good. You get 2 tacos and a side for $12 which is a heck of a deal considering I had enough food for 2 meals. Unwilling to let the pandemic rob me of a great Cinco de Mayo, I looked to Condados for my taco fix. They have great carry out specials which I was sure to take advantage of. We experienced no issues with pickup, our order was ready on time. I ordered my usual brisket tacos which never disappoint. If you have a more than a 20-minute drive, I suggest ordering soft shell instead of hard because they're going to get soft anyway. All in all, we had a great experience and are thankful to all the staff that continues to supply us with great food. read more

Review update: They have become my COVID go to for takeout. I love their bud box and before you could have takeout alcohol in Ohio, they had margarita mix to go. The way they pivoted and provided an easy ordering and take out experience, definitely adds one more start for me. If you're not ready to go out into the world yet (ditto), try their bud boxes to go. You won't regret it. Former review: Dead center for me. Love the aesthetics. Appreciate they're supporting artists. Acoustics were awful. Granted, it was packed but noise was bouncing off every wall. On to the food! Started with the queso. Was rather bland. Chips were good though! Ordered both their veggie tacos they had in the suggestion menu. One had tofu, the other jack fruit. The one with the jack fruit was amazing! Great flavor, good mix. The one with tofu, not so much. The tofu was hard and the flavors were bland. I do love that you can make your own tacos too, so if the combo is bad, you only have yourself to blame. However, if some of the key ingredients aren't great to start, then that's a problem. Had a margarita to wash it all down and tasted like there was barely any alcohol. Alas. The service was amazing though! There was a 20 minute wait so we sat at the bar. Wow what a lunch! Had two tacos I designed myself. I had the shrimp with pineapple salsa and lettuce and pepper jack cheese. Pretty good but this place charges for EVERYTHING! Sour cream is $1, rice is $1, bacon refried beans (which are puréed) are, you guessed it, $1! Full order of queso and chips $7! So at the end of the meal, five tacos, some chips and queso came to $40! Come on folks, these are tacos and I counted two small pieces of shrimp on each of my tacos! Oh and a note for the management, your chairs are abysmal! Who chose these torture pieces of furniture. I'd give this place a pass in search of a better deal. read more

I'm thrilled to have a Condado location in my neighborhood! Went in on opening night and we were told it would be a 45 minute wait but we were seating in about 10 minutes. We only had enough time to order a drink, it was perfect. It was happy hour so our margaritas were a great price! We split my favorite, the trio dip where you can pick 3 dips and enjoy with their chips. Finished off our meal with custom tacos that we each made with our favorite toppings. The place was packed when we arrived and when we left. There is a nice parking lot in the back which is unique to most locations. A definite plus! It was jam packed when we left. I will probably walk in the future. Staff was quick and friendly. Food was hot and delicious and everything came out so quickly. Super impressed for how busy it was. Wow. Some of the best tacos in the city await you at popular Condado Tacos in Oakley Station. . Especially recommend the spicy Lucy but really all are worth a try. And there are a lot of choices. These aren't small but large and hearty and generally run in the $4-5 range. In these Covid times, they offer limited dining inside and outside as well with bar service. Service is quite good. That was the only high point. $12 "La Verdita" margaritas were supposed to have mint, cilantro, pineapple, etc. I asked for a skinny & bartender said "already low carb"..... obviously a bottled mix. No herbs or fruit in sight & they were so bad neither husband or I even drank half. Chips were dead cold. Street corn dip was pretty tasty. We ordered 3 tacos, 2 of which were not lukewarm, but cold. Bill was $53 pre tip so $64 afterwards. Do yourself a favor by getting hot FRESH food for far less money at El Toros in Hyde Park Plaza. There are coupons on the back of Kroger receipts. read more

As someone who lives in Oakley, I have been to this Condados now 3 times. We used to go to the one at The Banks every week. I think we are about to give up on this Condados and go back to The Banks location. Why? 1) Service - the service is REALLY hit or miss. More often miss. Took 5 min for someone to come over, then forgot our drinks after 20 min of waiting. Food was good as usual - and then took another 15 min to get our bill after we asked. It seemed like asking for anything was a chore 2) TV Setup: The TVs at the bar are 32 inch TVs and they are very small for how high up they are. The Banks has multiple 60 inch TVs so at least you can watch the game while you wait for longer than needed on food/drinks. Oakley Condados? Nope. So you wait longer for bad service, and don't have anything to distract for because the TVs were made for ants 3) Bathroom is 1 stall and 1 urinal for a busy restaurant with 100 people. Not sure this was well thought out before they opened Overall, 3.5 star food, 1 star service = 2 stars for Condados Oakley. Condados Banks: 3.5 star food, 3-4 star service. read more

I love this place. I like the cool pictures around the wall and the unique ordering system. The menu could make you feel like you're back in school taking a multiple choice exam. This exam is all about the things you love in your tacos. Imagine taking an exam and every single question is, "What would you like in your shell?" Isn't that awesome! My husband & I tried this new place after hearing the other one in Cincy was good. When you sit down, there's an order pad to write down your order to make your tacos the way you want. Be careful though because you could end up spending a lot more than you intended with many things costing extra. My hubby didn't understand this & was charged $4 extra for black beans & rice on his 2 tacos. The manager graciously took off the charge - very nice. He ordered a beef brisket taco on a soft flour tortilla (50¢ extra for beef brisket) & a chicken taco on a soft flour tortilla. He said both tacos were good. I chose to order off the "Taco Suggestions" menu. I opted for the "Charlie Hustle on the side" which is Two firecracker tacos (hard shell) with roasted chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro, onions, smoked cheddar, dirty sauce (really hot sauce!) & sour cream. My tacos were delicious & SPICY which is how I like it. We both agreed we would eat here again. I had heard so much about this place and was happy to see them open a location in Oakley. They are open late which is ideal for any late night bites. It is pretty busy since it is a new location so be prepared to wait to be seated during peak hours. They have many options for tacos and you can build your own. It's a'ight! The hostesses were super sweet. I was by myself, so I sat at the bar. Took quite a while to be greeted. The guy did apologize, though, when he finally came to take my order. They were a little busy (it was 12:30pm), so the food took a hot minute. I picked three tacos off their suggested tacos menu. The El Santo was a little boring. The El Tradicional was a little boring, but the chorizo was good. The Ooey-Gooey was just soggy and drippy. I didn't realize the sauce that came on top was a hot sauce, I would have gone without that. Also, I should have eaten it first, but I ate it last, which contributed to the sogginess, I'm sure. Oh! This was my second visit to a Condado Tacos; my first visit was the one in Mason. This visit was great. We had recently left the dog park and had our dog with us as well as 3 children under the age of 12. We were quickly provided seating on the outdoor patio and our dog provided a bowl of water. We got each kid a taco since they are fairly packed and the kids tend to engorge themselves on chips and salsa. My husband has two tacos and I had a bowl. Oh, the bowls are quite filling. I think there is more in them than a standard bowl at Chipotle. I took a good bit home. The girls are eagerly awaiting our next visit so they can try more taco options. The first time I went to this location, I ordered the Chef's choice tacos (3 different tacos). They all came out saturated with juices and salsa and poorly made. It looked like whoever made them just threw everything in there and shook it up. Just now I called ahead to make sure there were open spots on the patio for seating. I was told it is wide open with no one present, but that I have to go book a spot online. I asked if I would be able to get a spot for 20 min from when I called and the lady on the phone said I certainly could. So, i went on the website and turns out all those spots are booked until 8 PM. When I called back to ask about the misinformation, a new woman answered and she was not friendly at all. I will not be giving this location anymore business. read more

Condado's downtown location is great, if you're downtown. Otherwise it requires a special trip, finding parking and probably a little hike. Now there's a location in Oakley off Madison, with its own parking yet. DLW and I sampled it on a Sunday afternoon, after a couple of attempts to walk in on weekend nights showed it was impossibly crowded. The layout is very similar to the downtown location, but with the restrooms on the opposite side of the room. Otherwise it is a wide open space with a bunch of communal tables in the center and some individual party tables to the sides, maybe 120 seats total. With all of the hard surfaces it gets pretty noisy even without a full house. The Cuba libre DLW ordered was a rum and coke by any name, and tasted of nothing but rum. I know people want their "money's worth" when they order a cocktail, but it should still be a cocktail, not a shot over the rocks. My pomegranate agua fresca was more like a soda, but it was still good. Beware that the tacos are massive and overstuffed. One will do for a snack, two for lunch, and three is a hearty dinner. We sampled four tacos between us, plus nachos, and it was too much. I managed to finish my Ooey Gooey, Lucy's Fire and Surf 'n Turf, but only because I hadn't eaten all day. They were all good, and sneaky spicy. Side of guac was appreciated but a surcharge. DLW was unprepared for the kick in the Dirty Morning Taco, and the hard cook on the egg disappointed, but otherwise she was happy, but she couldn't finish her nachos. Some will probably object to paying almost $40 for this meal, but it was a lot of food. Service was spotty, but it was pretty new. read more

Love this Condado Location! This location has the best customer service! Our waitress was amazing and made sure to take care of us and double check to ensure that everything is going well. The food is amazing as well. Everything is ordered custom so you pick and choose what you want on your tacos. This leaves everyone happy as they get exactly what they want. In regards to the menu you must start with the corn salsa! It's very tasty, however you can't go wrong if you choose queso or guacamole as those are also very tasty! The only reason I ranked a 4/5 is due to the seating situation. The tables and chairs are right on top of each other which doesn't leave much room for personal space. You have the option to build your own from scratch, or you can go from a list of pre-made ones if that stresses you out. At first I was like whaaaa $4 for a taco?? But you really only need 2 to be full, and their Happy Hour specials are pretty good! For the people saying it's too pricey, my family timed it right with happy hour and each got 2 tacos plus a shared corn queso (think: elote), and it was around $30ish? My parents didn't even finish all of their tacos and took some home! Having been to the one downtown, I thought that they would give this one a different vibe since it is in Oakley, but it is just like the one downtown-- which is the reason for 4/5 starts instead of 5. I did take out even though a wait in the crowded place was only five minutes, which was impressive. I had already planned on take out so that was no reflection on Condado. Bartenders for take out were great (the one that waited on me was adorable with a great smile btw) and didn't make me wait forever to acknowledge me. That was very professional and I appreciated it enough to tip 20% on a take out order because it was efficient and professional. I got my food very fast for take out and no one complained about anything near me. The food was good and somewhat flavorful but not outstanding. The guacamole was watery and thin for my taste but I will admit I make a damned good guacamole so I'm a little bit of a hard sell. The tacos were much bigger than I expected so I only ate one of the two I ordered and it was fine but not a write home about taco. I feel like they focus on jalapeño more than other flavors. Heat is what I feel when my tongue hurts but flavor comes from spices and I didn't get enough of that. Texture they had down pretty well. I had ordered from the house build menu and not build my own. The restaurant is much bigger than I expected it to be for where it was. The sound quality was difficult (has the feel of a craft beer brewery which is what they were going for I'm sure) and there was no reasonable place to wait for my order than in the path of very busy servers and bartenders which I'd happily stay out of the way of because their job is hard enough as it is. I'd like to see a little more thought into traffic flow for patrons as well as servers even if it means less tables. Overall it was a great experience: People:10 Atmosphere: 9 Food:8 Location:10 Service:10+ Noise level: way over the top This is not a place to take a date to talk. We went for a last minute dinner. Started off with chips and corn salsa as well as guacamole. Both were excellent! Guacamole is a bit spicy with pickled red onion. But by far my favorite. Wife had a margarita. She added some flavor and said it's a bit underwhelming. I had two draft beers which were served in 12 ounce Mason jars. I had the ooey gooey taco and a Dutch dragon. Both were full of flavor and very good but spicy. I'm okay with spicy but it seems everything here is spicy so if that's not your thing then I wouldn't recommend it. Even though the place was packed service was fine and quicker than I expected. The only reason why I didn't give it five stars was the price for a 12 oz. Draft beer. 7 bucks is a bit much for 12 ounces. Alot of cool art on the walls. I'd recommend going atleast once just to experience.
