My family always has a good time here. We had chips (very good, cooked perfectly, not greasy) along with queso, corn salsa, and the house salsa, all of which were delicious. The rest of my family had the Skywalker nachos and a make-it-yourself taco. The steak from the tacos is hot and cooked well, and the rest of the ingredients taste fresh. The Skywalker nachos are big enough to share with 1-3 other people. The atmosphere and staff are very nice. Our food came out quickly, and our waitress gave recommendations on what we could try. Came here with a group of friends and didn't have a good experience. We sat outside and there were bees circling the table, landing on our food, and landing on our utensils. The server was scared of them too and kinda ran off (don't blame her), but we requested to be moved inside it was very uncomfortable. Water wasn't refilled and neither were our chips. The swole bowl was decent, but extremely rice-heavy and so was my friend's build your own bowl. The chicken in the bowl was dry though. I really liked the dips we got in the three bud, and my friends liked their tacos a lot. Prices were reasonable. Drinks were a little small for what they charged ($5.75 for a 12 oz Modelo Negra draft and $10 for a highball glass of Margarita). What a cool place! The ambiance with the colorful walls really makes this place stand out. Sooo much to look at, conversant about or just absorb as you enjoy your meal. The menu variety is great and allows you to pick a created taco/nachos/bowl or create your own. The blanco queso is nicely done and simple. I didn't much love bowl that the queso was in as the round shape and depth make it hard to dip triangle chips efficiently. The margaritas were yummy and a nice addition to the meal as a whole. Most everything we had was delicious! For the price, however, the drinks were super small and weak and I will repeat - the menu had a Taco Bell flair. Several years ago I went to what I believe is the original Condado Tacos in Columbus, OH. I loved it! The tacos and queso in particularly were quite memorable. So when they started moving north and opening around Metro-Detroit I was psyched. Unfortunately the Ann Arbor location kind of was a slight let down. Now, I will say we had our meal via delivery. So perhaps something is lost in transit? Lots of folks seem to be saying the location really helps make the experience. But, on food alone I was whelmed. What I ordered just didn't live up to what I remembered enjoying in Columbus. I had the Blue Dream (flour tortilla, queso blanco + Kewl Ranch shell with Tex-Mex ground beef, lettuce, tomato + avocado ranch sauce) and the Braised + Confused (flour tortilla with rice, braised beef brisket, jicama slaw, pickled red onions, queso fresco + chipotle crema) and while they sounded really interesting, the flavor just wasn't there. It was all just a little bland. I also got some of the queso and I will say that was good. But to me any and all melted cheese is a winner! Also it's kind of expensive. I realize the prices have gone up on a lot of things but over $5 for a taco still seems really high? And when you order from a delivery service that climbs to around $6 per taco which just feels absolutely wild to me. Your best bet is to go through their own online ordering and do takeout yourself. And get the Bud Box which is $12.95 and comes with two tacos and a half order of queso. You'll save more than a couple of bucks in the end. I'd definitely go back and try it again but I'm not in a huge hurry like I thought I might be when I heard they were opening. read more

When I bit into it, the sauce immediately stung the corner of my mouth. I was shocked and told my boyfriend to try it, his nose immediately started sweating. It tasted like habanero or ghost pepper and was not labeled on the menu - upon letting the waitress know I wasn't happy with it, she GRABBED IT OFF THE MIDDLE OF MY PLATE while I was eating, taco pieces falling all over my other tacos. I was baffled. Never have I EVER had a waitress grab food off my plate after saying it was too spicy. Maybe take the whole dish or just leave it there since I'm not going to eat it. Baffling. And then we sat here for another 20 minutes waiting on the bill as the wait staff took care of all the bigger parties. I understand we are just two, but we matter just as much as the 3 parties that just walked in. We could be out of the way already. Finally came for our bill and stood there while I looked it over and while I got my card ready. It was excellent. It had a touch of heat. The taco was a good size. If I was eating a full meal, I would need one or two more. One thing to note was the server had the local beer choices. I wanted to try this place out because the inside just was designed and decorated so creatively, and I thought that would resemble their menu. They do have some pretty creative and yummy options, such as their korean bbq one, which has an excellent sauce and is so loaded with ingredients. Their tacos are also the largest ones I've ever seen, and I got full on just two. I don't recommend ordering anything with chicken in it though. We got their nachos, which came with some chicken and it was on the less seasoned side. It definitely would taste better with more sauce/spice, but we asked for hot sauce a few times and never received it. Nothing on the menu was too spicy, so it's pretty accessible in that regard. I did really like their horchata though, but it was definitely on the sweeter side. Overall, I think this place is pretty average, but I wouldn't mind coming again for their other taco combinations. read more

This place was a mixed bag experience for me. We tried a lot of things here, and while some of what I had was great, I wasn't thrilled with the flavors of everything. Flour soft + hard corn shell with smoked cheddar queso, slow-roasted pulled pork, gochujang BBQ sauce, pickled jalapeños, and pineapple salsa (D) Margarita: White Peach Next time I will skip: Mexican Street Corn Off-the-cob, fire-roasted corn sautéed with garlic, jalapeños, lime, and red onion and topped with aioli, Cotija cheese, Tajín, and chopped cilantro (Veg/D/GF) Taco: Sweet Heat Flour soft + hard corn shell with queso blanco, braised beef brisket, cilantro + onions, Middlefield smoked cheddar, pineapple salsa, habanero-mango sauce, and chipotle honey (D) In terms of why I didn't care for the Mexican Street Corn and the Sweet Heat taco...I have discovered that I don't care for cotija cheese. If you are a fan, you may love this. The cheese flavor was overpowering for me, so I will definitely avoid this next time. As for the Sweet Heat taco, I didn't care for the brisket in it. I was expecting it to be flavorful and juicy, but the texture of the meat and its flavor overwhelmed the other components of the taco. I didn't care for the tortilla chips, either. They were extremely hard and desperately needed salt. They were great to propel the dips from the bowl to my mouth, so I was thankful to have the dips to accompany them. Another thing to watch out for...I went on a very empty stomach and gulped down my margarita given its deliciousness when it came to the table. When it hit my stomach, it felt like it was on fire. Proceed with caution on those. Our waitress was great, and I really appreciated her advice on the menu. The murals on the wall are an explosion of fun colors and funky graphics, and this place is loud. It's definitely a place to pop in and expect bustling activity. The high top tables have stools that are terribly uncomfortable. If you have a bad back, I would highly recommend NOT sitting at them. One more plus...takeout containers for the tacos were aluminum foil and a paper bag. Infinitely better for the environment! I won't be seeking this place out to get dinner again, but I will be happy to get some of the menu items I liked should the opportunity present itself to come again. read more

Came in after being out of town for a few months, and I learned that Condado had an A2 location. I only knew of the Detroit spot. So my friends and I hit this after a few drinks for some end of the evening tacos. I love the double-decker taco concepts, and condado spices them up so well. We had a queso mixed with Brussel sprouts, which sounds terrible. But even my girlfriend, who doesn't care much for sprouts, said it was pretty good. The margaritas always seem a bit small for the price, but maybe im just used to happy hour pricing. Tacos were great. Queso was great. Service from the gentleman at the bar was great. So me and some friends stopped by here for lunch following a presentation we had in class on campus (Yes we killed it)!
