"OMG YUM!" What I texted my husband as I ate my lunch downstairs in the dining room and he had his in his office doing some work. "I KNOW!" he responded. Then we both agreed that while this would be our first meal from here it would not be the last! I got the birria tacos and he had three others (chorizo, al pastor, and barbacoa). Mine came with beans and rice and I also got a side of chips and queso (for science! and a snack later) and he got the elote. Everything was ding dang delicious. We also got the agua frescas and they were excellent. I did the 50/50 pineapple mango and he did the straight pineapple. Online ordering was a breeze and pick up was so easy. The tacos from this place live up to their name: tasty thing! On a recent food truck night, I carefully perused my options before deciding on Cosa Sabrosa. I was in the mood for spicy Mexican food, and the small street tacos that I could mix and match promised to give me just the right amount of flavor without skimping on satisfaction. While it was one of the longer lines of the night, it went quickly, both for placing my order and for the food being prepared. I grabbed it at the window with a side of salsa, then sat down and prepared to enjoy my meal. Perfect temperature, texture, and flavor mingled in a taco that was just full enough to only threaten to fall apart with each bite, but managed to stay together to the last tasty morsel. I probably wolfed it down more quickly than was elegant to watch, but nobody ever said eating tacos was supposed to be tidy. This review is in regards to the lack of communication between management and its customers. There have been 5 occasions where I have driven at least an hour to get Cosa Sabrosa for my birthday or somebody else's and it has been closed. The website either says it's open or the hours are simply not posted. The food is great but when I have to get chipotle as an alternative it is upsetting! I never leave reviews so this one hurts. Went to Ann Arbor from An hour and a half away for a birthday specifically to get Cosa and it was closed. We arrived at 1pm on a Saturday because on maps it said it opened at 11:30am. After checking their Facebook, there was no mention that they were supposed to be closed. We sat there for a little while and watched other customers try to open the locked door and walk away upset like we did. read more

Stopped by and had the Birria Tacos and watermelon water. The entre includes 3 tacos plus rice and beans, salsa and lemon. The tacos and the watermelon water were delicious. My rice and beans were ok, nothing to write home about, and my friend's beans were not cooked at all for whatever strange reason. My bill just for my order was $21 which is a little pricey for Mexican food. My friend paid the same for his order. We ate outside on the benches, no frills no thrills, therefore the value didn't really seem to be there. The food may be delicious, but do NOT book them for your special event because they can not be counted on. A friend of mine also runs a food truck. He's had to cover for TWO different events when Cosa Sabrosa canceled last minute. This weekend they canceled on a bride and groom the day before their wedding. There is literally no excuse for doing that to someone. You should not be doing weddings if you don't have back up plans in place. Even if something terrible happened, you need to have back up plans in place. Get someone else to cover you. I'm in shock they operate this way. Don't book them. Caught this food truck on Wednesday at some parking lot, got there 11:28 and was third in line. Got 3 tacos (fish, barbacoa, and carnitas) chips and salsa $10 combo. The fish and barbacoa were the best, carnitas were a little dry. All the tacos were amazing. Chips were a little salty but still really good; I'd rather have them salty than plain and taste like nothing. Spicy salsa was spicy but doable. By far the best horchata in Ann Arbor, but make sure to ask for no ice, it takes half of the cup. I had passed the food truck many times and it always piqued my interest- and when they actually moved inside the grotto even more so. We went one afternoon- ordered takeout and ate it at one of the tables they have set up in the parking lot. The food is as good and better than I thought it would be. As I am largely pescatarian, I had 2 fish tacos (mahi) and one cauliflower poblano taco. I ordered the 3 tacos which comes with rice and beans but I opted for the charro instead which I think has bits of bacon in it. I didn't actually see any pork but I wanted to try the smokier adobo, and it was worth it. The fish was fresh tasting and a nice portion with a jicama pico. The cauliflower taco grew on me as I went along. The pickled carrot added made it all the more complex. We tried the guacamole of course- fresh and delightful! Cosa on its own is well worth the trip. But I also really like what the Grotto seems to be trying to do, which is bring some freshness to the place. For those who have never been to the grotto, there is a bar there as well, along with live music at certain days/times. What once felt a little to old timey for my taste suddenly seems like an attractive neighborhood option. Thanks Cosa Sabrosa- I hope you are a long time addition to the west side! read more

Our office gathers orders together and individuals take turns making the run to wherever the truck is parked as often as we can. The food is always fresh and delicious, the portions are just right, and the menu is budget-friendly. The staff is really pleasant and efficient, which is especially important when you are placing separate orders for a bunch of folks. From my food-service days, I know that can be annoying but I never feel any impatience from them at all, and they label the (compostable, yes I asked) cartons with each person's name so there's no confusion once we're back at work. While I don't love that there is always a line, it moves pretty quickly, so don't let that scare you off; we just factor it in as part of the price you pay for Cosa Sabrosa yumminess. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect at Cosa Sabrosa, located at Zal Gaz Grotto. Was it a food truck? Could you eat there? Was it indoors? The answers are not right now, there's tables outside, and the kitchen is now indoors, but they ask that you order online or by phone. It's a carry out operation now, so the rest of this review is about the food. It's really good, made with care, the burritos are huge, I cut mine into thirds, and one third was enough, and the salsa is homemade, fresh and tasty. The elotes , roasted corn was flavorful and tender. The watermelon limeade was unique. I wish the serving was larger, but it was so good I almost just chugged it down. The dulce de Leche trifle reminds me of something you'd get at a state fair or Disneyland. Over the top design and nostalgic flavors with fresh fruit and cake at the bottom. Everything had a freshness and a sense of care about it. We're so happy we found this place. A gem. read more

I am very disappointed in this food truck service! While I have had their food on multiple occasions - I am sad to say I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THEM AGAIN! My best friend signed and paid them for a barn wedding venue for 170 people and 24 hrs prior to the wedding, THEY CANCELLED. No explanation, no warning, just cancelled. They said one of the people were sick, but seriously, you must have more than one person for a wedding this large!!!! They bride was beside herself as were many of us trying to figures things out. I was here for the Ann Arbor Farmers Market Food Truck Rally! One of the food trucks is Cosa Sabrosa! I decided to try this food truck since they had a huge menu hanging from the truck. The tacos also looked colorful and delicious! They have a special where you can order chips and salsa with either 3 tacos or 1 burrito for $10! I went with taco specials - ordered 1 pescado (wild cod), 1 barbacoa (tender beef brisket), and 1 carnitas (pork shoulder). Of my taco selection, the fish was the best. The fish was very well-seasoned and moist. The pork was my second favorite. The beef brisket was a bit dry but the flavor was there. I love that each taco contains 2 taco shells so that the taco shells don't break. For drinks, I ordered a watermelon limade! It contains fresh blended watermelon and lime juice. It is a very, very refreshing drink! I highly recommend it. Overall, my experience is great! I would come back for more tacos! read more

Had been hearing lots of good things about this food truck. Saw them today at the Zal Gaz Grotto on Stadium. YAY !!! So, masks, and all I ordered the 3 taco special and the burrito special. AWESOME and authentic. Luckily, I was getting lunch for two because there was nothing spared in the serving size. The salsa is great, the guacamole is great and I loved the 3 taco layout in the container. Made it easy to eat. The tortillas are fresh, roll good and with 3 in the order, I got chicken, beef and pork so we could try them all. They did not disappoint. Just enough seasoning and not too spicy. Plenty of food and, this was such a treat during this crazy time in the world. SO glad my first real venture out was this place. You do have to push up your mask to get the full flavor. Great place for hipsters who want to seem cultured. Great people working, just the food falls short. Maybe if they reworked their portions? Pollo is always dry, carnitas are like they took dry carnitas and dipped them into the greases at the bottom of the pan. Pescado isn't anything to write home about. Chorizo is actually good (the meat). The pickled onions are too "artisanal" for a Mexican cuisine. Overall it's bourgeois tacos that are small and overpriced. Great people, honestly though!
