The yummiest cocoa bun/ bread and patties. I got the chicken, beef, and vegan, all are good. I can't wait to go back.

I been eating beef patties in NYC for as long as I can remember & these beef patties are THE BEST I've ever eaten. The coco bread is top-tier and fluffy, and it complements a cup of coffee perfectly. The service is always generous with a smile & the aroma of baked bread permeates the air, making the spot feel warm and welcoming. I encourage all my beef patty enthusiasts to take the trip up top to The BX for this experience. They will not be disappointed!

I'm actually really shocked I haven't written a review for Concourse Jamaican Bakery being I've been coming here for as long as I can remember. My childhood Sunday memories are filled with post-church lunch from here. I'll just say this... BEST COCO BREAD EVER! The Patties are equally as good, but the coco bread will forever steal the show. Definitely the Best Chicken Patty/ Coco Bread combo in New York City. Period! They have another location Uptown Bronx. Highly recommended. Biggest setback is that they are cash-only. (Almost gave them a 4-star because of this, but that wouldn't be fair).

Chicken Patty & Best CoCo Bread EVER ($3.25)

Hands down the Best CoCo Bread!!! Always fresh and delicious. Definitely not the out the bag stuff other places try to warm and pass off. I've been coming here since I was a little girl and would only eat bread no patty. Now this is the only place I will eat CoCo bread from PERIOD. Goes perfectly with their chicken patty (sorry Beef/Pork are not part of my diet). Over the years I have tried several things on the menu from dinner plates to the carrot cake and nothing will disappoint. Everything is tastebud pleasing and priced reasonably. p.s. They have recently moved from 167th street to around the corner on Morris Ave. (virtually still the same block)

Finish coming here for more than 30 years, this is the official best Jamaican beef patty spot in the Bronx. Coco bread always fresh, Beef patties always fresh and ready. They recently moved around the corner, so the location is super clean and new.

Carrot cake, coco bread, chicken and beef patties

Ordered beef patty, chicken patty, coco bread, and carrot cake. The beef and chicken patty was fresh and delicious. I preferred the beef over chicken. The coco bread was very doughy and I liked the texture. Carrot cake is non traditional but had a nice little spice in it. This was all at a reasonable price.

Former location. Reopening around the corner on Morris avenue.

This place use to be in a small location on 167th; they've recently moved around the corner on Morris avenue. Recently, I stopped by the old location during normal business hours. When I saw the doors shut & a sign in front, I thought a childhood favorite was closed for good. Thankfully, the sign told me otherwise. I've been coming here since the early eighties. I get the same thing each time: 1 beef patty, one coco bread. Can't go wrong with these two. Piping hot, flaky patties with the right amount of kick. The coco bread is perfect; soft, pillowy, buttery. My wife told me she hated beef patties, so I took her here a few years back. Now she loves patties, but she's partial to the bread. If you have a few bucks on you and you want a break from the typical takeout foods of the area (although there is a very good spanish restaurant nearby) I recommend this place wholeheartedly.

Best patties in New York City! Yeah I said it!!!!! The best! If you don't believe me take the D train to 167 grand concourse and find out for yourself! I've been going to this spot since I was in elementary school. They bake their own cocoa bread and patty's. Every thing is done ON SITE. If you can't make it to Jamaica... this is the next best thing. Try the chicken and veggie patty's!

Sign does not say it but if you buy 12 you get 1 free. That's a Baker's Dozen where I come from in Brooklyn. Good deal!

This place is amazing! I visited Morisiana in the Bronx in August and my friend Anne said I had to try the beef patties & coco bread here as they are the best! I bought 3 my first day in the Bronx and they were so good we returned later in the week to buy a dozen. They are a "Baker's Dozen" - so you get one free (so 13). Wow, these are infinitely better than the beef patties I get here in Florida, which I like, but nothing like Concourse Jamaican Bakery. I should have brought some home to give to the nice bakers at my local Publix in Florida! By the way, the peeps running this store are terrific. What a gem of a hole in the wall tiny store. My next visit to the Bronx, this is a must do!

New location on Morris ave around the corner

The cakes here are delicious. They are known for the Boston Cream pie but everything is great…read more The workers are courteous & professional. In a part of Morris Park that's changed, Conti's is a great asset. My constructive criticism on Conti's. I ordered 2 cakes online. Paid in full for both last week. They gave me a pickup window 9AM. I show up early & there's a big line. I ask a worker & she says there's 1 line. She states there's 1 line for picking up a cake paid in full, ordering a new cake, getting coffee, getting pastries. Guys NO GOOD! Why pay in full & order a week prior? You should have 2/3 lines. 1 line picking up cakes paid in full only. 1 bread line only. 1 line for new orders. I mean this criticism as constructive

I remember when Conties would price the specialty cheesecakes to $30-$35 max. a 12inch pistatchio cheesecake is $46???? i know for a fact the employees dont get paid enough for the price of a cheesecake to increase that dramatically. one of the girls said the pies/cakes are made a week before they're sold, so the price on soon to expire pastries is insane. for $46 dollars I can get a larger and better quality cheesecake in Manhattan. The ladies behind the counter look unhappy and find every request to be inconvenient. this place is definitely ripping you off. UPDATE: I opened the box of cookies for my friend, she reached for the first cookie and as soon as she took a bite, she pulled out a blond hair from the cookie. $22 dollars for cookies full of hair. I'm never going back.

I just wanted to thank you personally for the wonderful cake you created in honour of my 50th birthday. I was so impressed and so was everyone else!!! Your attention to detail is incredible and very much appreciated. From the individual blades of grass, delicate little flowers, strands of hair blowing in the wind and the specs (how on earth did you do those?!) It seemed such a shame to have to cut into it, but I'm glad we did because the cake itself was a delicious light sponge with a delicate orangey tang and creamy butter icing, just perfect and just what I wanted J. Your creativity and artistry really made my party-meal special and I would certainly recommend you to all of my friends without hesitation. Rest assured that we will definitely be using your services to plan future family celebrations.

I'll start with my whole family & I have been a Valencia fan & customer for more than 40 years …read more I can say hands down all their cakes are fantastic. I went to the 9 w W burnside ave Bronx NY I ordered 2 dozens cupcakes I wanted that traditional Valencia taste. To my disappointment they were tuff so dry nobody even attempted to finish one. I call the store mine you I wasn't asking for a refund never mentioned that . I believe she was the owner didn't take it well . She said & I quote well maybe everyone didn't know how to eat them . We should've cut them & inverted them smh i said kids here we're not going to do that . Then she raved on how many orders a day come in& out and how one customer byes everyday that cupcake . Again I was polite reassuring her I loved Valencia & I said I wasn't trying & to insult her but she didn't for once apologize or take responsibility for her product or business. I'm so disappointed . She was so defensive & dismissive . Won't go there anymore .
