Great "Minions" Cake with Cupcakes.
Mike C.

Exceptional service and some of the best blondies, scones and cupcakes around. Great coffee service as well. If you need a cake this is the place too. Indoor and outdoor seating options available but not a real coffee hang out spot. Right across the street from the commuter rail and right near the bike trail so great location.

Olivia, an owner, was above and beyond helpful while planning for my dear friend's party. She was attentive, professional and pure joy. She made a beautiful cake that was chocolate and gluten free and frosted with chocolate ganache. The decor was loved by all and guests went back for seconds! She confirmed details days before pick up and even walked the cake to my car. We also picked up some vibrant and scrumptious sugar cookies that were daisies, butterflies and tulips! They were such a hit! I noticed amazing graduation cookies that would make a nice addition to anyone's party. I will be using this amazing bakery for all my dessert needs and sharing my experience with all! Thank you Concord Teacakes!

This was a cute little bakery. I stopped in during a visit to my friend's new house in Concord. She said she wanted to "show me something" and we parked down the block. It turns out she wanted to bring me to Concord Teacakes to buy me an early birthday treat! While lots of the baked goods looked amazing - I went old school and chose a vanilla/vanilla cupcake. I must say that I am a big fan of sweets and cupcakes in particular. This cupcake was yummy, but it just missed out on being great. It was decorated with a cute flower and had just the right amount of frosting for me (not too little, but not towering either). The cupcake was a perfect "medium" size. I also loved that neither the cake nor the frosting was too sweet like you might find at a grocery store bakery. Sweet, but not overly so/fake tasting, which I really enjoyed. So why not 5 stars? The cupcake itself was a little too "dark" for me. It's like they left it in the oven for a few minutes too long. The inside was tasty and fluffy, so I definitely enjoyed it overall, but the outside kept it from getting to the next level. Ultimately, would 100% come back for a cupcake, a bar (lemon!) or a cookie from here. I recommend this place!

I stopped in today while waiting for my partner who had a local appointment and was glad I did! I got two vanilla chai teas, a bagel with chive and onion cream cheese and two triple chocolate cupcakes to share. All were very good and the service was pleasant and prompt! It looked like a nice spot to sit and enjoy my treats but I had to head out. I hope to be in the area again to try more of the delicious looking baked goods!

This is 12 of them, I had taken out 4. Not pretty to look at for $44.

After hearing good things, wanted to try it out. The cup cakes looked very cute, so decided to get them. I bought 16 Mini cup cakes for $44. The cup cakes were good, but there presentation in the box was not pleasant, see photos. If spending $44 i want to cup cakes to pop when you open the box. Other then that the girls working there seemed a little attitudey.

Concord Teacakes is located in West Concord, just across from the train station. Loop around back and there is a small parking lot - just read the signs to avoid the marked spots. They have a scattering of colorful chairs and maybe 3 tables outside for those who prefer the outdoors, and an accessible entrance on that side of the building. Inside also has space to be enjoyed by their dine-in guests. I perused the pastries protected by their glass counters before confirming with the staff that the only way to know the prices of their baked goods is to ask. My take: almond macaroons for $1.69 each ($1.89 for the chocolate dipped sort), and chocolate florentines for over 2 bucks apiece (the receipt named some other item - Lakota $2.06). A short stay in my trunk on a warm day resulted in melty chocolate and macaroons that threatened to break apart beneath my fingers. Still their almond macaroons were crisp crust and airy melty within. Terrific, though the almond flavoring was a bit on the artificial side. My mom, who prefers her sweets on the less sweet side of things, preferred the florentine, which was crisp with a nice coating of dark chocolate. Future goals: coconut cupcake Strawberry Shortcake cake lemon cake with raspberry jam cake Croissants - chocolate, almond, strawberry and cheese (tip - these were tucked away almost out of sight in the metal baskets beneath the chalkboard menus)

I have found Concord TeaCakes to be hit or miss, 40/60. Our recent purchase of Gingerbread Whoopie Pies and Apple Pecan Coffeecake was a hit. Both were moist & flavorful & converted this whoopie pie & gingerbread loather into a fan of both. However, other times the pastries we have purchased were meh, had a day old feel and were over priced. The coffee & tea are standard fare. The seating outside on the patio during good weather is nice. However, there is minimal seating inside and can be cramped if there are many people in the store. As with the food, service is hit or miss. We have has often been served by staff who seem to be having a very bad day as we have been by a friendly server. This shop is not terrible, I just prefer consistency.

Not a fan of the cakes here. They are ok. I would say that there is too much buttercream and not enough actual cake.

Looking for some of the best roasted coffee on the planet? Your searching will end once you've…read moretried George Howell Coffee. I have Kyle Glanville & Charles Babinski of G&B Coffee (Los Angeles, CA) to thank for introducing me to George Howell's terroir coffees. Over the last two years, the guys at G&B have used a variety of George Howell's filter (drip) coffees for both slow brew via Fetco and pulled for spro. Some of the most notables: Deri Kochoha, Mamuto, Borboya, Reko, and Kochere. Whenever I order whole beans, I typically put in an order for a month's worth, which translates to roughly 4-6 bags, attempting to maximize my order to take advantage of $8 flat rate shipping for orders 3-7 lbs. Depending on what George Howell offers for special Limited Roasts, I tend to hold off until the ordering window opens (limited edition roasts are roasted Mondays and only available for purchase the Thursday prior through Monday 6am Eastern Time of roasting date). Prices and bag size vary based on origin, varietal, and scarcity. Beans can be delivered whole or ground for your desired brew method. If you want to know more about the pioneer of third wave specialty coffee, Coffee Geeks has an insightful interview with George Howell. I wholeheartedly recommend reading or listening to it! http://coffeegeek.com/opinions/theinterview/09-02-2005 Put in an order for some Ethiopian or Kenya coffees from George Howell today. After one sip, I can guarantee you'll be hooked and will gain a new appreciation and fondness for coffee.

Their bread is still some of the best around, and their staff are great. Ever since they rebuilt their entrance to be in the back, you have had a walk through a very unattractive alleyway that was used for trucks picking up the trash before it was converted to the entrance, and honestly, it has barely been converted. Today I got a chocolate chip cookie, and it was essentially flavorless. If you are looking for good bread, this is definitely your spot, but if you're trying to find anything else, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this **Replying to the owner** I seriously don't understand owners and employees on yelp who play victim when it comes to negative reviews. The customer had a negative experience, they describe it truthfully on yelp. Yes, the 3 star review negatively impacts the business, but ultimately, that's how reviews work, and you should take negative reviews as constructive criticism, and reply apologetically and constructively instead of being rude and defensive. As they say, customer is king. To your point that I didn't review your main menu focus sandwiches, despite your fact that a large portion of your building is dedicated to making bread, and no real area for putting together sandwiches. Either way, it wouldn't matter, the cookie I had was not great, and I reviewed accordingly. Responding to negative reviews in a defensive and rude way steers customers away from your establishment almost as much as a negative review does, if not more.
