This place has been on my list for a while and we finally made it for lunch. What a charming place. All the tables were full but this man called us over and allowed us to share his table with him since he was by himself. How nice of him. He is a regular customer and he reflects the attitude of the restaurant (friendly, courteous, helpful, just plain nice). All of the staff we encountered were extremely polite and helpful. It was like eating at home. They have tables for outside dining but we wanting to stay inside so this worked out great. The food came out of the kitchen quickly and was exactly what we wanted and how we wanted it. We even took dessert to go. Hamburger and fries - how can you go wrong? Baked apples were hot, just right. Banana pudding was phenomenal, and not a stingy portion. You need to eat here. Be patient. Be polite. Just like these folks. What a gem! It started with a smile as I walked in and a 'seat yourself darlin'. The smells of fried pork, toast and coffee were exactly what I was looking for and Concon's didn't disappoint. I ordered black coffee that was promptly delivered by Sierra, who welcomed me and introduced me to Connie (Ms Concon), who told me how good the country ham is...so that's what I ordered. Oh my goodness, this place is so good. The food is fantastic and the people are so darn friendly and helpful. After traveling I needed a car wash, they helped me find a couple of different car washes near by. We wished we would have found this place earlier in the week. We started going there for breakfast on Wednesday. The server remembered us every day, even asked if we would be there the day we leave on Saturday. Our eggs were always done to over medium perfection, the bacon was just how I like it, a bit crispy. And they have fried bologna! They have specials listed on their outside sign. They are open 6am - 2pm, so get there early. A total hidden gem. read more

It was clean and has both indoor and outdoor seating, walk up, and drive thru. 2. Breakfast is served all day! Plate sized pancakes and good coffee 3. With 4 kids, this was a hit. I should've taken photos of the food but it was so freaking good I swear it took me no more than 10-15 minutes to consume 2 eggs, hashbrowns, a country fried steak, biscuit & gravy and 2 silverdollar pancakes. Growing up my parents always served heated syrup with pancakes when we ate them. In Florida it is RARE to get hot syrup. This place had STEAMING hot syrup and it was everything. The country fried steak was cooked perfectly, not a dry edge anywhere. My husband had the grits and if you've ever ordered grits in a restaurant you know there is a 90% chance they will be clumpy or unseasoned. Not these, these were perfect, especially mixed with his over easy eggs. The service was FAST, we were expecting a short wait seeing as we ordered country fried steak...not the case at all. I was looking for a breakfast spot. At first I went to Wild Eggs but it was a 20 minute wait, my 2nd pick was ConCons and I'm very happy a didn't wait. ConCons was the best place I've had breakfast in years. Their homefrys are incredible! My waitress Ashley never let my coffee go dry and was on top of every detail. I had been to this restaurant before, (pre-Covid) and remembered to be a hidden gem and an excellent little restaurant. The food is good, but the cleanliness of the restaurant and the sanitation knowledge of the employees is worrisome. We sat at the counter and watched multiple waitresses touch money, dirty dishes, and then our food with bare hands. I'm not a snob but I couldn't bring myself to eat the meal after seeing this. We still paid, made up an excuse and left. Hopefully, things change and concon's becomes a staple in Bowling Green again. read more

The diner is small but the friendly wait staff hustles and there's never a long wait, plus there's extra seating outside, a to-go pick-up window, and a drive-thru. I will try when they are fully open and order inside. I have had their lunch just recently through drive thru and it was good. We use to come here for breakfast and everything tasted just okay but completely different compared to our last visit. The quality seemed better in the past and they seem to be cutting a lot of corners and you can tell in the quality of the food. Not sure what is made fresh but it didn't seem like much. Biscuits looked like they came from a bag, gravy was paste like (which suggest it was a flower mix they just had to add milk/water to), home fries were cold, and the Chicken Fried Steak was void of flavor. They also couldn't cook a 'sunny side up egg'... how is that possible? Customer service seemed a little generic, cold, and forced. I didn't really feel like it was genuine. read more

Going to meet my parents in Bowling Green for breakfast this past weekend. Last week I sent out a request to my area friends and asked for the best place for breakfast in the area. ConCon's came back from a number of them! Decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed at all. There were five of us in our group and we got a variety of items. I chose the western omelette, my parents and wife all got the breakfast specials with eggs, choice of meat, biscuits and potatos. My daughter got the French toast. And we finished it up with sharing a couple of slices of coconut cream pie. A quick note, their home fries are more like your thick cut potato slices, not the home fries I'm used to which are more cubed potatoes pan fried with onions and seasoning. They also have hashbrowns. Service was great. Food portions were of good size. Looks like many of the athletes for WKU athletics frequently eat there so that's good to see the local campus supporting the establishment. read more

The BEST Breakfast we have ever had! The service was wonderful and even the owner, Connie waited on us! We sat at the bar and watched theses ladies work non-stop! I come to this diner all the time and it's not hard to remember all four of the waitresses that work here. It's a very casual and homey diner that's open from 6am-2pm most days. I always come for breakfast in the morning and the staff is always cheery, quick, and friendly. It's a great way to start my morning.
