So today I decided to go eat the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday. Needless to say I was disappointed to find a false eyelash on my plate on cucumber. I showed the server and they quickly gave it to the manager! No one said really anything except apparently someone lost their eyelash over the salad bar! No apologies from the manager. Shame on you! My kids and I were traveling through Bowling Green and initially stopped at Texas Roadhouse, but we didn't stay because they were busy and there was a long wait. I noticed that Ruby Tuesday's was nearby and thought it sounded great - After all, the ones that used to be in Missouri, where I live, had closed down. This Ruby Tuesday had only a few cars parked outside. We were told that there was a 15-minute wait. Strange as there were only a few tables with customers. We were called and seated about 10 minutes later. It was at least 20 minutes before our server arrived. He was pretty apologetic, saying that they are short-staffed. We ordered drinks, which came at least 10 minutes later. We ordered our food and waited - And waited. We were on the road for about 10 hours this day. We had yet to check into our hotel. We just wanted a good meal and to relax. After waiting an hour and 10 minutes, I got up to find a server. I told her that we had been waiting over an hour and wanted to settle the check so we could leave. Our server sincerely apologized. A few notes while waiting all this time: - We watched customer after customer walk away because they were being told of the short staff and long wait times. - We were told that the manager was in the back making food and was unhappy about it. Not one bit. - The manager had the servers telling people about the short staff and long wait times. I felt terrible for them! The manager is the one who should be handling this. The servers are the ones taking all of the heat, and that's not fair. They were doing the best that they could. - Other people came in and ordered food. We saw how irritated they were by the slow service. It wouldn't surprise me if they lefter after we did. By this time, it was 8:30 PM. We left, got Mcdonald's, and checked into our hotel. This location's ratings are bad. If they want to avoid winding up in the same situation as the scuttled Ruby Tuesday locations in Missouri, something needs to change. read more

As most restaurants are right now, Ruby Tuesday was understaffed on the day I visited. However I must say that had absolutely no effect on the service received. Our waiter Kendall was awesome!!! He never missed a beat waiting on our party of 5. He was very kind and accommodated any request that we had. The food was good and our experience was very pleasant. My last two visits to Ruby Tuesday have been very positive. The year after what I call He77 year (2020), they had a horrible time keeping this restaurant staffed and several times my partner and I would walk out because the waiting list was so long. However, I have patronized this restaurant twice in the past few weeks and my food item was so good that I ordered the same thing both times. What is even more funny is I wish I had taken a picture the second time because I'm pretty sure I didn't get rice with the New Orleans dish but the fish, shrimp, and really yummy zucchini were so plentiful -- and I was so hungry -- that I didn't even miss it . I went back to find this picture from the first time I got it and was flabbergasted about the rice issue. Hence. even though I may have not gotten rice with it, this dish is so yummy that I didn't even miss the rice! I know I love the rice, and I am positive there would not have been any problem getting this fixed if I had even noticed. We have had the same server, Tristan, both times, and he is very proficient and has very good customer service skills. I'm pleased to see that Ruby Tuesday's has possibly made a very positive comeback and I hope more people add positive reviews to bring that overall score currently on Yelp up a couple notches! read more

The night before Super Bowl Sunday four of us went at 7:30 pm We were seated relatively quickly and the menus were in our hands promptly as well as our drinks. That was the high point of the experience. We took a look at the salad bar when we arrived and it looked pretty picked over and no one was pushing to freshen it up. As I remember they were out of the special and baked potato's. My wife chose not to get the picked over salad bar and I was disappointed that I couldn't get that steak special. So I said I'd just have her salad. The waiter said that was no longer allowed so I chose to leave my family there to eat and go somewhere else to get something. The waiter chose to ask another waitress to take over after I left. Stating that he worked only weekends and knew he wouldn't get a tip. This upset my wife. She called me to come back and no one ate. Waitress is so so sweet. She offered to replace things when they were overcooked and was overall what you want out of a good waitress. The food was very moderate. The food took too long to come out. We were there for around an hour total before we got some of our food. (We asked them to just bring out what they had.) Can I give less than one star? We have been to this location on a number of occasions, never have we had such a bad experience. We went on 12/29/22, six in our party with two children 2 and 4. We arrived at 7p on a Thursday evening. It was not busy in the restaurant at all. Appeared that they had just a handful of people working the whole restaurant. Took 30-45 minutes just to get water and finally place our order. An hour and a half into our wait for our food, we finally approached staff - family with the small children already had to leave because the children were melting down and very hungry. Terrible experience for our out of town family.. Manager on site apologized and gave us $50 off our order. With so much restaurant competition in Bowling Green, this one won't last long with this kind of service. Needless to say, though we have enjoyed this restaurant in the past, we won't be back. read more

The only reason I'm giving any stars is because our waitress was so friendly and hard working. I ordered the salad bar but then realized that there weren't any croutons. I was told they ran out. I ordered a baked potato instead and it was served with no butter. At all. I asked why and was told that they had run out of butter! I don't understand how a restaurant runs out of butter. It has been a while since we ate at here so we thought we'd give it a shot on a Sunday night. Go in the parking lot it was absolutely dead. As you walk in notice that the salad bar has not been cleaned from apparently the day rush even though everybody standing around. We were sat down our waiter's name was Gage. I would recommend you ask for him he did a very good job. My Wife had the triple play and the ribs were fantastic. I had a crispy shrimp which was good everything came out exactly as it was supposed to. I'm from Philly and let me tell you, no one in BG seems to be able to make a good Cheesesteak, but this one wasn't bad...I've had it twice now, the only problem is, here in BG they don't have good Italian Rolls which makes subs really tasty....why I don't know...but they need to rethink ordering real Italian sub rolls. But he was about 5'8 medium build, strawberry blond hair & a cutie on duty. This guy was amazing... As was the hostess. He was prompt, courteous, hospitable, friendly, knowledgable. Very impressed. Went here for the salad bar. First, I had to dig for a clean plate. On to the bar: They had 4 containers of lettuce (3 regular, 1 spinach leaf). I had to pick through the brown lettuce to "find" enough green lettuce to (sort of) make a salad. All of the fixins were good, but my salad was anorexic due to lack of lettuce. Got to the dressing and the Ranch was really watered down. I stuck the corner of my napkin in it and it absorbed "dressing." THAT'S THIN! The server took my plate and invited me to help myself to another trip. I just shook my head "no." I told the server about the brown lettuce and she said she'd "say something." I don't know if she did or didn't, but nobody did anything about it. Add a glass of water ($0) and that garbage cost me $11.65 (with tax) for 1 single trip. Needed a break on a road trip and decided to hit the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday. The only real problem I experienced was the service at the bar. Seems Andrea T. was too busy socializing versus taking care of the bar and her only customer...ME. We were happy that the restaurant was open and the salad bar was open. We wore our masks as asked on the door if we were not dining at our table. We were actually sitting next to the restroom and still wore ours. Then a group of two couples came in. The women had on masks that weren't worn properly but hey whatever. Well the experience was truly an experience! We came in to no greeter,saw some family & spent upwards of 5 minutes with them & then walked back to be seated & still had to wait.
