The vibes? Immaculate. The food? Ehh, not so much. We showed up on a Tuesday right at lunch with a party of 16 (yes, 16!) and somehow got seated super fast. Big win right there. It was a last-minute celebration for a graduation, so we were just happy to find a spot that could take us. We ordered a little bit of everything--fish dip, coconut shrimp, burgers, mussels, and their "special" teriyaki chicken sandwich. Let's just say the food didn't exactly match the energy of the location. This place gives off chain restaurant vibes. No idea if it actually is one, but it definitely felt like it. Everything we tried was just kind of... fine. Not bad, but not something I'd go out of my way to try again. That teriyaki chicken sandwich? Massive. Like, cartoonishly huge. It was also super sweet. Someone at our table ditched the bun entirely and just tackled it with a fork and knife like they were carving a roast chicken. The coconut shrimp reminded me of the kind you'd find in the freezer aisle, and the sauce was a mystery combo of sweet and tart. The mussels were actually pretty good though--served in a tequila butter with a little kick. Sadly, that was the only sauce / dip on the menu. On the bright side, our server was awesome--super friendly and on top of everything. The place itself is huge and really pretty, with gorgeous views of the water. It totally feels like the kind of place you want to hang out for a while, especially with a drink in hand. So would I come back? Not for the food. My husband and I were over in Jensen Beach for a conference last night and we left today and we're looking for somewhere fun to eat. Going over the bridge we saw this old rickety restaurant looking place on the water and we ended up pulling in there. I must say I am not a big omelette person, but I have a vegetable omelette with bacon added because I'm working on my blood sugar and it was the most spectacular omelette I have ever had in my life! Normally, I have to take a bite with any egg product with grits and I did not have to. It was so good. I also did order cheese grits and they were the best I've had and I didn't even need them, but I ate them because they were so delicious! We plan to come back here anytime we're in this area, also we sat out looking on the water and boats came into the dock to eat, and that was very interesting to watch. read more

Joe's Conchy Seafood - we were brought here by friends who live in Jenson Beach. The Joe's Fish Dip is amazing and made with 100% mahi, which really sets it apart. I had the sweet potato crusted grouper, and it was simply amazing with a perfect balance of flavor and texture. We arrived early, so we had drinks at the outside bar. Two Mojitos and two glasses of wine. The Mojitos were served with black, rotten mint leaves, which were noticed after our first sip. They were also the worst Mojitos I have ever had. Four of us went inside for dinner. I had made a reservation to ensure we ate in the new tiki, which has a great view of the Intracoastal. We ordered drinks and perused the menu. When the server came by, she was friendly and knowledgeable. We decided to skip the appetizers, so we ordered our entrees: Seafood Mac and Cheese, Yellowtail entree, a salad topped with Yellowtail and a seafood pasta dish. The Seafood Mac and Cheese had zero redeeming value. There was virtually no cheese, so the pasta was dry as could be. The seafood pasta dish was very good, the salad average and the Yellowtail entree over-seasoned and dry. All in all, a very disappointing meal/value. The last visit was pretty much the same, so I would say if you wanted to enjoy the ambiance, sit at the bar and have a simple cocktail or beer. Not a great value for me. read more

Late night only place we could find open. What a rip off. Mahi Fish Tacos came out with tacos the size of a round Tostitos chip with a flake of some unknown fish and totally flavorless. The Conch Fritters were just greasy dough balls, minus the Conch. Hostess was fast and efficient as was the server. My family and our service dog (a pug) were asked to leave by the manager after we called ahead to confirm we could have the service animal, we checked in and again confirmed he was a service animal then waited 45 min to be seated and again asked if he was a service animal while walking to the table and was sat. Once we sat, my son and I went to the restroom when we returned my wife and daughter told us, the manager came by and asked what the illness my wife had that the dog was for, when my wife told he is an legal emotional support animal for her anxiety, he said they don't support that type of animal, and he said we had to leave. Keeping in mind we were seated in a semi outdoor area with no real tables sat around us. When my wife told me, I I chose not to make a scene and we quietly walked out. My understanding is, my per ADA rules an establishment is not supposed or allowed to ask what your condition is once it's established you have a service animal, so we plan to report this business to ADA and BBB. Recommend not wearing heels since the floor is pretty much deck boards spaced enough for your heels to catch. The food was soso. I attached photos of the food. Nothing really jumped out at me to order, so I ordered chicken, my wife ordered the shrimp. I was not impressed with the taste, it was pounded out chicken over rice with a sauce I cannot identify. My wife mentioned the shrimp with the stuffing was 'mushy'. I was definitely more than a little disappointed with the service we received at this place. Why did every bartender act like it was an inconvenience to take our order? I was here with my parents on multiple occasions as they had a vacation home in Port St. Lucie. We loved the fact that they had live music and they were right on the water. They also had an extremely good happy hour with drinks and food for cheap. But that is where the good things stop. The 3/4 times I came here were just terrible customer service wise. This girl in pink, didn't get her name, but after sitting at the bar for 10 min I asked a bar back if we could order and he said he would have to get a server so he asked this girl and wow, the attitude we got from her. Another time we approached the bar (it's always very very busy here) and the only spot was behind a pole. The guy literally told us , you're going to have to move I can't take your order from around the pole .........what? How in the world are you all allowed to serve people? I get you all are a local favorite and again I don't think it's every worker that is bad but I've had some bad experiences that you all really need to take a look at. Bay shrimps on the Shrimp Po'boy in Florida... wtf? Shrimp Stack with bay shrimp? Very disappointing overall. Not going back for food.

We went & there were 8 couples(16 peeps)made the reservation 2 weeks or so in advance, sadly now they couldn't accommodate us in the new area as requested, due to large party. The hostesses since they're the 1st impression need training, when we arrived, they advised that several already arrived, but due to not all 16, they were in bar they didn't know which one, didn't say how they would notify or anything, no smile, no help. Well as we searched we see that they had been seated. I had also called since a few were in the terrible rain storm, no one was more than 5 mins tardy. Ashley was our server and she did a terrifically great job, her initial partner seemed annoyed passing out the water, she pretty much quit on Ashley who handled as a pro. Cocktails tasted watered down. I had the coconut shrimp as did others, the coconut coating was yummy but the shrimp were so small they were missing. So, we went back, like we said we would before we left for home and it was a better experience! Those tequila mussels are wonderful and the primary reason we go. Our meals were all prepared well this time. We are happy to report that our last visit was indeed just a fluke. Our preference is to sit on the deck. It's Florida weather so, yes, it's hot, but they have great fans and there a nice soft breeze off the water. ------------- We've been going to this restaurant for 21 years when we travel. This was the first time we were disappointed, but we were indeed disappointed. We will be back before heading home in hopes that it's just a fluke. That being said, the tequila muscles are still the primary reason, we like to visit. They aren't your usual muscles and the sauces is full of flavor! There were four of us at dinner and two of the meals were just not done very well at all. The chicken and coconut shrimp were delicious according to our guests though. They have a larger cocktail menu now, we noticed. We'll report back after our next visit. I am hoping things improve because this is a staple around here. Some very unique dishes, from alligator bites to Conch related options like soups and some entree options. Very large place with plenty of seating and live bands constantly playing. Nice outdoor fire pit area and overall welcoming atmosphere. Most dishes were reasonably priced and good tasting but some could use more flavor like shrimp with risotto. Service is attentive and knowledgeable and their signature soup made from conch is a must try! Definitely hope to be back on our next trip to FL! read more

Rude staff! A group of us went to listen to a band and moved chairs from the bar around to our table to accommodate our group. We were told to move the chairs back. Took quite a bit of time for a server to come over to table. Ordered a glass from their wine list.....the server came back 5 min later to say they were out...no big deal ordered a beer...oysters were the highlight as they were good...after that I might have gone to Long John Silvers for the fish....although "fresh" way over done. Perhaps the fish was cooked properly, it was clear it sat under the warmer for an extended amount of time. Went to the newly remodeled Conchy Joe's recently and had a great night. Band under the Tiki room bar, Joe's quiet bar out front was full so we settled for the back room bar and had a great bartender. Kate was helpful with drinks and menu info but was especially hospitable with convo new drinks on the bar menu and she was truly busy and still took great care of us. They have 4 bar areas and plenty of parking and a nice loaded menu. We especially liked the hospitality we received. Great job Kate and crew at Conchy Joe's! read more
