They have parking and there is street parking. We arrived at 11am so it wasn't busy. When you walk in you order your food, pay then you go and find a spot to sit. There is a tip jar or you can tip when you pay for your comida!The cashier was very nice and helpful with answering our questions. I ordered the red chilaquiles with steak. The sauce taste a little sweet not spicy. It wasn't bad either lol believe me I ate the whole thing lol I also had the banana mascarpone French toast and man that was so good. The rating i would give is 1 for service and waiting so long for everything and a 4 for the food. This was our first time coming and unfortunately our last. We were excited because we planned a month ago to come here. The place was very pretty and big inside but the system of how the whole thing is run needs a lot of improvement. We were already there for 25 min and no one came for our drink order or anything. I stopped an employee and said do you know who our watress is? we would like to order they just looked at us and left. They came back 5 min later and took our order. The menu had some good options but not when it came to some plates it was just on its own nothing else was included. I have been to plenty of brunch spots and I was disappointed with how they curated the menu. Our food took a VERY long time to come out. I noticed that other tables where getting one or 2 plates at a time. Ours finally arrived but it was only one of our friends food. They just brought our side dishes we ordered because our dish came with nothing else. my friend didnt want to eat because she wanted to wait for us. Our food took 20 min to come out. My food was ok it looked very very pretty. The Chilaquiles (my friends plate) was the best dish but do to waiting for us her food got soggy. I seen the family next to us and 1 memeber got there food and the others waited a very long time. This place has good potential though. read more

We need more honest reviews on this place. So here's mine. The environment of the whole restaurant is disorganized. Here is why I'm giving this restaurant one Star. I wish I can give zero. 1) the valet parking person was unapproachable. When we came back to our car we notice the valet left it unlocked. 2) to wait in line and order, the waitress just gives you a number then you have to look for your own table. 3) we order a banana smoothie, it tasted like water down baby food and the latte looked weird. Overpriced 4) IT took AN HOUR to get our food. AN HOUR. 5) No napkins and the tables are super close together you can barely walk between tables to get to your seat. 6) In the video inside the restaurant they promoted free conchas. There was none of that. 7) You have to ask for condiments, napkins, utensils not only that, it took serval times to get attention of MULTIPLE servers to ask for it.. which none provided. I had to go up and ask for these things at the bar. It took almost 10 mins to receive a fork and a butter knife. 8) The food was cold and the scrambled eggs were under cooked, I can see the goo of the eggs. Small portions and to pay so much. Absolutely not! 9) The atmosphere of the restaurant is confusing i don't know what kind of theme they were trying to go for. 10) There's no ac in the building, the whole restaurant felt musky. The only air that was coming in from the restaurant was from the back doors. So imagine on a hot day. 11) The service: no service at all. The just bring the food and drinks. Once you pay for your food they're all done with you. They do not ask if you need anything else. The hype of this restaurant was no where to be found. The food and service were terrible. The people who promote this get paid to get you to come and waste your time and money. Overall: SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!! Went on Sunday brunch, didn't get the concha's . The food & lattes were delicious . Got the steak/egg/chilaquiles the sauce was good , the croissant breakfast was also tasty: potatoes well seasoned, the pancakes were surprisingly good as well not too sweet. The prices were up there as expected, the only CON is the flies everywhere ! They disgust us and won't eat my food once I know a fly landed on it. I took half of my food to go for lunch and discovered a fly in there. Had to throw it out, so I hope they can somehow manage that since we want to come back bc it was delicious. We went a Sunday around 10am, it wasn't too packed and we were able to find seating for 6 right away. You do have to order at the register and pay first, then choose the seating. But the food came out quick and I thought the portions were decent, at least for me. I really enjoyed the cafe de olla latte, it was delicious. They do cute little designs on some drinks too. They don't give out conchas as you wait as I had heard but nonetheless, it wasn't a bad experience. I'd give it a 7/10. read more

I've been to Concha's Café in Montebello twice now, and both times I really enjoyed my food! The croissant sandwich is so delicious--definitely a must-try. I also had one of their fruit smoothies, and it was super refreshing and flavorful. The service has been good, and parking was easy enough. This third time around we sat as we watched bigger tables who came after us get served - their complete dishes, while our plates came to our party of 4 individually like we were some kind of after thought. The food was also tepid. My cousin's salmon benedict's had fishy slimy salmon, we asked to get the plate exchanged - which they did free of charge. But while we were waiting for her new dish to arrive, I took a bite out of my eggs only to chew on egg shells. To make matters even worse, it was like someone cued the flies. Wanted to try this new local breakfast spot. Inside what used to be Mr. Tempo. Arrived on a Friday morning and there was a line of about 6 people. You have to order first and then sit down. Nobody gave us a menu so I grabbed one from the front to see their options as we waited. Felt rushed to order since there was a bigger line behind us. The services was not good- we had to wait over five minutes to find an employee for napkins. Food came out within 15 minutes. It was not good. Unfortunately the matcha waffle did not taste like matcha at all and it was very dry. The dulce de leche iced coffee was watery and not sweet at all. The French toast was so thick that the inside was mushy. They do give you mini conchas while you wait. The waffle combo, waffle and two coffees was about $45, not worth it. Visited for the first time on Mother's Day towards closing. We went not having much expectations due to the holiday. Just was looking for a quick spot to eat. On Sundays this place has a valet service. Parking is a small lot but if they park your car that's a thing you don't have to worry about. I appreciated that service. We waited in line about 20-25 minutes before we sat down. Before you sit, they will take your order. They have some Mexican staples, cafe de olla, huevos rancheros and chilaquiles. They also have some waffle, pancake, and French toast dishes. I was surprised by their cafe de olla martini. Wow!!! It's delicious and kicks the traditional espresso martini out of the way. The ambience inside is very cute, it reminds me of cafes in Mexico City. They have a gorgeous bar in the middle and love their coffee set up. They have high and low tables, and it's definitely ADA accessible. My family ordered a few dishes to try: mascarpone French toast, and huevos rancheros. The presentation is beautiful and you get a nice portion of food. I didn't think I would finish my place but it's soooooo delicious. The mascarpone was yummy! Due to the holiday we didn't get to try Conchas. The waitress said they give some free when they open but they do sell them. Next time I visit, I plan to try one of lattes and a concha. The vibes are relaxing and it's a good place to be with friends and family for conversation and it's not too loud. read more

I came across this place on my Instagram feed and it definitely looked delicious. Despite some hiccups, I had a good time. First thing I'll mention is there was a bit of a line to get in but it didn't take too long. You wait in line to order your food. They give you menus to look over while you wait and once you place your order, it's self seating. They give you a number to place at your table so they know where to take your food. Every person gets a free concha and I should hope so since the prices were a bit steep for being its self seating and you don't have a waiter. My sister ordered a veggie omelet. And when she got to the table she noticed on her receipt that they added a side of bacon (no idea why). I went to tell the girl at the register but she kept insisting that my sister wasn't charged for bacon even though it said plainly on the receipt, side of bacon: $4. But a lady I assumed was the manager came over and assisted me and provided a refund. Then we got our coffee first which was so delicious and definitely my favorite part. The concha's were delicious as well. The perfect pair if you ask me. After that came our food which was amazing as well! I love when you take a chance on a new place and everything is good. But another hiccup was that even though we had our conchas, coffee and food- My husband hadn't received his mimosa. I asked a girl working there if we could expect it soon and she said she would check on it. A few minutes later I saw her assisting other tables but giving to go boxes. When she passed by some time later I asked her again and she said are you sure you ordered a mimosa? I said yes and then she went again to check. After a few more minutes, the bartender came and brought it but by that time we were already done eating. The food and drinks were great. I think their service just needs a bit more work. Maybe since it is a new restaurant they are still working out kinks. My order was eggs Benedict, honey vanilla latte, one mimosa and chilaquiles with steak and the total was $56 plus the tip. read more

I have no complaints with the food! The breakfast burrito was great and the chilaquiles were superb as well. Where I'm most frustrated is the service... I was here early so I ordered and was seated quickly but the line as out the door and it took forever for people to even order food. Once inside, the service was fine. Nobody ever checked on us, but we didn't really need anything. We did have to ask for utensils and napkins which I found strange. What's most frustrating was the marketing that everyone gets a concha, and we most certainly did not get a concha. We ordered coffee as well, but maybe we missed the secret password for the free concha or something. Overall, the price was slightly high for value of food, but not enough to turn us away. The chilaquiles were good, but they were a bit too soggy for my liking (I enjoy mine a bit crunchy). The service was good, it's pretty much self seating once you order. The staff in the front that takes your order was kind. I was a little disappointed to know that you aren't given small conchas, I had heard that they brought small conchas when seated, but could have misunderstood that! But little did i know it was one of the best restaurants i have ever went to. it blew my expectations away. I would highly recommend. The service was off the charts, the waiters were so polite. The ambiance was very chill and the background felt like i was home. The food was very delicious especially the breakfast burrito was unbelievable and finger licking good. Upon arriving right at opening, we learned they were out of stock on their renowned conchas. To our dismay, we witnessed other tables that arrived after us being served before we were, which added to our frustration. The long drive made us wish we had chosen a different place instead. When our food finally arrived, it was served cold, and we had to ask multiple times for coffee refills during our meal, which was quite frustrating. We also ordered café de olla, but it lacked the flavor and richness we had hoped for. Overall, the limited menu options, cold food, poor service, and the need to repeatedly request refills made our visit far from enjoyable. You had to stand in line to order. For someone with ADA needs, this poses an issue . Especially. If you have to wait for others to order. After you order the food was brought out to you. They give you a pair of concha's to tie you over. Also there was a tip jar and the tip on the POS was 18-20-22%. We hadn't even sat down. We had the green chilaquiles plate . The flavor was good, the eggs were perfect. The black beans were hot enough. The other was the "steak" breakfast. The meat was good. The eggs were good. Questions: what kind of Mexican place doesn't offer tortillas, or frijoles de olla or refried beans? Cons: they had an extensive drink menu, but no soda or iced tea. We settled on the (minute made) lemonade . The bill was $61. For two plates of food, two lemonades for a BREAKFAST. Eggs, chips, beans, a thin flap steak . We left a cash tip at the table . Also they couldn't customize anything. The hostess/ cashier seemed confused about a custom omelette . There was no ham, bacon, or sausage on the menu. The space has been empty. The furniture and LOTS of big screen tv were left from the former tenant. This isn't a negative comment. The place was clean and tidy. read more

The food is good. The coffee is bomb. The restaurant itself feels off. It's rather cold inside and the chairs are so uncomfortable . The service is good overall but it always takes forever to get your check when it's time to go. I have been there twice. The first time I had French toast with scrambled eggs, and bacon... I think it also came with some potatoes. I didn't care for those potatoes to be honest. Everything else was good. The second time I had chilaquiles and I didn't like them...they weren't bad but they just didn't traste fresh or homemade. The tortillas tasted like if they came out of a bag which they probably did lol. I'm just used to making chilaquiles from scratch. I don't think I would go back there to eat again...but I would go back for the coffee. The restaurant seems to have opened before it was ready. It seems like they just took the place as is and kept what the old restaurant left with adding just a few things to the decor. When you ask for water they give you the small plastic cups and they take a while to refill you. The food is very lacking in flavor. I order the chilaquiles with "steak" I was asked how I wanted my "steak" it did not specify what steak I would be getting. When my plate came it was chilaquiles with a very thin asada piece. The plate entirely had no flavor. I think this place has potential to be a nice brunch place but they really need to fix a lot of things before they get there. Not worth the $70 we spent. read more
