I had a great experience with Green Crush in Montebello. I ordered one of their delicious aguas frescas online for an event, but I didn't realize that catering orders placed online are normally scheduled for three days later. After placing the order, I called just to confirm they had received it, and that's when they kindly explained their policy. Even though it was my mistake, the manager went above and beyond to help me and had my catering agua fresca ready in about 25 minutes. I really appreciated how quickly they took care of the situation. When I arrived, the employee who helped me, Bianca, was incredibly friendly and even walked the agua fresca out to my car to help me load it. On the way out, she was also telling me about other flavor options and how they can be mixed, which was really helpful for future events. She was very kind and professional--definitely a great employee. I'm very thankful they were able to accommodate my last-minute situation. I come here often for the spicy watermelon. I cannot visit the mall without having one. It's my favorite thing, I know I could easily make it myself at home but that's not the point. This was my first time at Green Crush at the Montebello Mall. Their agua frescas are very refreshing and there's so many flavors to choose from. They're located right outside of the food court area and it's very easy to find. I've seen many of my friends get drinks from here recently so that peaked my interest. I've also seen many other locations pop up all over the place in malls, so I'll definitely be visiting those stores as well. When I first walked up, I had no idea what to do. Luckily, it was easy to figure out since I didn't have much time once it was my turn to order. There's a line on the side where you pay for your drink and then they hand you a cup (if you get an agua fresca), I'm assuming it's different if you get one of those blended drinks or other items on the menu. Then you go over to the different jugs and you can taste the juices if you're not sure what you want yet. Once you choose, then you hand your empty cup over and the workers will fill it up. The only reason why I took off one star is because when I told the employees to put in less ice and more juice, he was very rude about it and said no. So, my drink was like 70% ice and 30% juice. I felt $7 for a 32oz Large was pretty reasonable because the drinks were pretty fresh with actual chunks of fruits inside the drink itself. disappointing to know that this is how they close down at the end of the night 1 hour before closing time to tease everybody that's thirsty and wants a drink that's walking by to see that they don't clean out the containers. they just leave it out even spills on the counter even sanitize Rags on the counter this is an Eco violation! I arrived at 6:25 for a drink and their displays of drinks were almost empty so I only had a choice of 2 flavors, which is fine. No complaints about that since I understand it's close to closing hours. However, there was a male worker that a customer asked for a sample and he told her they didn't do samples. She asked why and to be honest, I didn't hear the response, since I wanted to order. After he responded, the female cashier said to the male worker:: "this is why you don't tell them why. They made you look real stupid walking away after you told them." I felt really bad for the male worker. The line can get extremely lengthy but don't let that stop you from ordering kick ass drinks. Once you order your drink, it pretty much comes out within a few minutes! If you don't know what drink to get, just ask for samples, they don't seem to mind it. If you like more than one flavor you're able to mix them so you're not just stuck on one flavor. This place for a regular size is $3.75 and for a large its $4. Definitely think that this drink is so worth it especially since they use fresh fruits in their drinks so you're not getting that much fake sugar like if you went to Starbucks. Some of the flavors they have are Pineapple, Watermelon, Cucumber Lime, Guava and Mix Fruit from what I can remember. When I came here for the first time I got the Pineapple Picante. This is pretty much a rimmed cup with Tajin dipped in what I think is Lime juice. Then filled with Pineapple juice sprinkled with Tajin and then topped with skewered Mango slices dipped in Chamoy and sprinkled with more Tajin. Heavenly. If you're ever down for a refreshing beverage while shopping at the mall give this place a shot, it's definitely worth it and it's not a bad thing that there are some cuties who work here either.
