Been coming here for years and I can't believe I have never left a review. This establishment is under new management and they are amazing. I'm really glad they have kept everything the same or similar to what we are used to. I wish the new owners nothing but the best. With that said, they have so many options. From ice cream, to specialty smoothies. I'm sure you can find something delicious to try. I've read some of the reviews and they mention the fact that it's a little pricey. You get what you pay for. They do serve quality products, so price does match product quality. Personally, I am an acai specialty drink person, but I've had their coffee ice blended drinks and ice cream too. I have never left unsatisfied with my purchase and I've been coming here for 20 years. Hope to be able to visit for many more years. read more

I was looking for a vegan option at the Montebello mall and I stumbled upon this ice cream spot and saw the sambazon photo, the acai bowl had coconut flakes and strawberries but when I asked what comes in it the cashier told me only banana, granola and honey was included. I asked if i could sub the honey for something else and she went to ask the owner and he looked angry and she came back to tell me no. So I just got acai, banana and granola. Small size was $7.50 pretty pricey but hey its vegan. I would like options and maybe if the owner seemed a little friendlier that would definitely make this establishment a little more inviting. read more

My son and I were waiting in line to get some ice cream and there was a woman in front of us with her daughter licking an ice cream cone. For some reason, her credit card did not go through and she literally returned the ice cream cone and walked away. This place offers mall goers samples of their smoothies and their smoothies are delish. That's what got me addicted. I've tried several different flavors and have yet to be disappointed. The nutty banana is pretty good but my fav is the pitaya-acai. Also they have the most scrumptious chocolate covered strawberries I've ever tasted. Love their smoothies! I'm a huge drinker. Not that kind you sillys! I would rather drink something than eat something any day. I work aroun here with only 30 minutes for lunch so quick, fast, and delicious are the key words for me and Ice Cool definitley fit that bill. Usually I clock out and blot out the doors. First thing I grab? Their yummy and oh so filling smoothies. A large for only about $5 and they come in a slew of flavor combination, yes please! My fav is the mixed berries smoothie. They also have ice cream, yogurts, and slurpees. Great service as well. Last time I was there a little girl dropped her ice cream and the owners immediately gave her another. That was so nice of them I totally awwwed when they gave her a new one. Super sweet! read more

My initial reaction to this place was.. "Hmm is this an ice cream shop or a smoothie bar? Or is it a yogurt shop?" I'm being offered a sample of their nutritious smoothie but I see the have lots of ice cream flavors and nicely decorated waffle cones as well as topping for yogurt. It seem like the have too much going on here. I ended up getting an ice cream cone and the guy seem kinda annoyed that I didn't get the smoothie after he gave me his whole speech about how it suppose to do this and that for your body. This place serves too many things. As a business, it easily diluted itself from whatever industry they are trying to become. With that being said, I would only recommend their acai bowl (~$9-10). They are unhygienic like another reviewer said because I'm guessing the owner doesn't let the workers "waste" things like spoons, bowls, etc. but if you notice it, definitely don't pay for it! My hubby really wanted a cold drink and ended up getting some ice blended green tea drink with boba in it. It wasn't very good, especially the boba. They overboiled it so it was way too mushy. They sell a lot of ice cream and drinks that are good, but I like their boba. It is soft and not hard like other tea places.

So, the Dragon fruit smoothie wasn't ALL Dragon fruit, it was mostly beet juice, AND they don't tell you that. I paid 7 dollars for a beet juice smoothie :( and since it had so much beet juice I am having the side effects you get from having too much beets when you are not used to them. Pretty disappointed and feeling deceived. Not only that I don't think the beets were gmo free or organic. None of the fruit is fresh, it's frozen. read more

I've been meaning to try the acai bowl here because I love them..and was glad I came! The owner was very helpful and informative and explained the benefits of switching my mom's tutti fruiti yogurt (she was eating at the time) to his, healthier ingredients. With all due respect, this place has a lot to offer that can turn it into a much more exciting business, but the owner feels the need to constantly try and upsell. My girlfriend and I tried out their yogurt which was great, but as soon as the owner stepped in, it became an uncomfortable experience. My girlfriend just wanted a cup of yogurt which came out to $3.50, and supposedly they required a "$5 minimum" for card which I thought was a lie since the owner pushes to make sure that the employees don't charge orders under $5 with cards. So she decided to just grab a chocolate covered strawberry, which was freaking $3 for 1! That's it, just 1. The owner had then kept asking us if we wanted to buy 3 for $7, to which we kept telling him NO! At that point, we were both annoyed and decided to never go back again. The product and good word of mouth is what drives the business, not being so pushy all the time, and that's what the owner fails to realize. Funny enough, we've both noticed how many times the owner would give off the usual "organic, all natural, fights cancer" pitch line to the customers he talked to. Don't waste your time here, go to Green Crush and you'd be better off enjoying a nice Agua Fresca from there! read more

Great establishment. I am not familiar with this mall or city but the staff and what seemed to be owners were extremely helpful. The man gave me a variety of samples of the exotic smoothies they made and I felt like getting them all. One note worthy item he showed me was the Pitaya-Acai smoothie, after googling it he was right! Only a handful of places in so-cal sell the Pitaya drink and it is a delight! I highly recommend it. As far as everything else, the store is speedy, has great quality, and a very helpful staff. I plan to take the long drive out just to visit this shop in the future! read more

I asked how much the chocolate covered strawberries are and wow only one little strawberry is $3 or 3 small chocolate covered strawberry's for $7 bucks lol saying it's a "deal" come on dude I said no thanks. I decided to get a yogurt instead they don't take card unless it's $5+ I think the yogurt came out to like $3.50 so I just got the 1 chocolate strawberry so I could pay with my card but the owner once again was pushing his employee to try and up sell me to the 3 strawberry's for $7 bucks I'm just like really dude, if I said no the first time what makes you think im going to say yes the second time? The only reason I got that expensive strawberry was so I could pay with my card. Honestly have always seen this place for years (this is my regular mall), but I've only been here maybe once before today. I came straight here because I just had lunch with some friends & I was craving dessert. I ended up going with the strawberry mochi ice cream ($2.50 for one or $13 for half a dozen, I might have heard wrong) but I got only one, which my friends thought was pricy but I was really craving something. This girl helped me out when I had got there & she grabbed me my ice cream but then I think when the owner saw I was only buying one thing with my card, he jumped in & told me it was a $5 minimum on card so he told me I could get like a macaron so I got one pistachio flavor but then it didn't make sense because my total came out to $4.50.. so I don't understand because it was still not $5, I'm not sure if he was trying to just make me buy more or what? He also told me my macaron was organic while I was eating it which my friends thought were more lies.. but I didn't care what he told me, I got what I had wanted & they were both really good. I just feel the owner needs to try not to oversell too much, because so far what I've had from there is pretty good, so I think it could sell itself. I had the BEST smoothie of my life here! The smoothie itself was 5 stars. Had to knock one off for the price and the high-pressure sales attitude. I only frequent the mall a few times a year and a lot changes in between visits. This time I had to shop for a very specific dress and how hard is it to find a dress, you ask? I wanted a dress that was vintage style for nighttime but that I could also wear again day or night on a non-occasion basis. I was lightheaded and ready to pass out after this mission. I didn't know what was at the food court but I remembered there used to be an Orange Julius so surely there had to be something like that still, right? As soon as I approached the food court, I was aggressively offered a smoothie sample from the Ice Cool counter. It was a Pitaya (dragonfruit) acai pomegranate berry mix smoothie. The man said something about organic and curing cancer and looking young forever, etc. I juice at home and I was on the verge of passing out so I didn't need to be sold. And magical goodness sold itself! He also offered me a sample with banana added but it was 'eh'. Before I knew it, he was asking whether I wanted reg or large. $6.50 for a reg. Pretty pricey for a smoothie and it took a while to make but you won't be disappointed. After I paid I noticed they had acai bowls. And macarons (he said they were imported from France) in the ice cream freezer. It might be a tough decision next time. read more
