The people here really make this place the best. The manager or owner, I'm not sure, informative and phenomenal. He truly believes in health and wellness and his passion shows with the knowledge he has of the ingredients.

I was looking for a vegan option at the Montebello mall and I stumbled upon this ice cream spot and saw the sambazon photo, the acai bowl had coconut flakes and strawberries but when I asked what comes in it the cashier told me only banana, granola and honey was included. I asked if i could sub the honey for something else and she went to ask the owner and he looked angry and she came back to tell me no. So I just got acai, banana and granola. Small size was $7.50 pretty pricey but hey its vegan. I would like options and maybe if the owner seemed a little friendlier that would definitely make this establishment a little more inviting.

Loved the Tropical Pitaya smoothie with chia seeds. Was very refreshing on a warm day.

This place offers mall goers samples of their smoothies and their smoothies are delish. That's what got me addicted. I've tried several different flavors and have yet to be disappointed. The nutty banana is pretty good but my fav is the pitaya-acai. Also they have the most scrumptious chocolate covered strawberries I've ever tasted. The strawberries are huge and flavorful and the chocolate is a creamy Belgian. Doesn't get better than this place.

I had bought a Thai tea from this place and it was extremely bad. Tasted like just milk and powder. Never again

They sell a lot of ice cream and drinks that are good, but I like their boba. It is soft and not hard like other tea places.

Love grabbing banana splits here when I'm in the area!!! They're huge, and tasty, and the owner is hilarious.

I loved the avocado and hash brown combination, and the salsa that came with it paired really well, a little kick with it. The portion size was great and definitely filled me up. The service was fast, but seating is pretty limited since it's mainly outdoors. Parking can be a little rough because it's street parking only, and it was pretty full when I came on a Saturday morning. I would definitely come back. I also saw that they make coffee and matcha drinks, and they all looked really good, so I'd definitely come back to try that next time!

[Parking]: Free small public parking lot directly across from the shop. [Amenities]: This is a really small coffee shop with no indoor tables and only two small outdoor tables. No restroom is available. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlighted items are the Breakfast Burrito, Teddy Bear (double espresso, agave, housemade vanilla cold foam, Teddy Grahams), and Banana Nut. All drinks are made with oat milk. Please note that the kitchen closes at 1 PM on Monday - Tuesday and 2 PM on Wednesday- Sunday even though the cafe remains open for another 1 - 2 hours. Come early for anyone wanting to try kitchen items like breakfast burrito or breakfast sandwich. *** Banana nut (double espresso, house made vanilla cold foam, house made banana syrup - medium $7.50): It came with two banana chips. The cold foam was quite underrated and I could taste a hint of banana flavor. The drink wasn't as sweet as I had expected - I liked it. Breakfast burrito (Refried beans, soyrizo, tofu scramble, crispy hashbrowns and sliced avocado wrapped in a flour tortilla - $13.50): Portion wasn't huge, but it also wasn't small enough to finish in one sitting. It had one of the softest texture for breakfast burritos. The soyrizo was very flavorful. It also came with a side of salsa - quite spicy but flavorful at the same time. *** I probably still prefer meat-based breakfast burritos, but their soyrizo breakfast burrito is quite good and the coffee drink is excellent (4.5-star for both items). I would definitely recommend this small coffee shop for a quick grab-and-go.

We went in to get two different flavors: - Pineapple ginger -lime, and lemon She added those flavors on at no additional cost, just as an additional solid for us. Really great, really refreshing. One of the best fresh cane juices we've had in a long time. Highly recommend if you're looking for something to quench your thirst during this hot summer sun. Service was really quick as well, and the ambience was really nice on the inside. Not a lot of space to drink inside, but plenty of space to drink outside. Highly recommend, 10 out of 10.

They use fresh sugarcane instead of frozen, and if you've had enough sugarcane juice, you can absolutely taste it. The flavor here is richer, earthier, and more complex than places like Vita Cane. Even the color is different. It's a little murkier and less transparent, which was my first clue that this was going to taste different. My husband and I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and were surprised to find no line. Ordering is done through a tablet kiosk at the front, and as soon as we finished placing our order, the woman working immediately started making everything fresh. We ordered the Sugar Cane Float to enjoy there and a half gallon of sugarcane juice to bring home. The float was unexpectedly good! Better than anticipated. We chose vanilla ice cream (they also had coconut, coffee, and another flavor I can't remember), and the two scoops melted into the sugarcane juice, giving it a creamy, almost milkshake-like texture while still tasting refreshing. I've never seen this offered at Vita Cane before, and now I'm already planning to come back to try the coconut version. The shop itself is very clean, with bench seating by the front windows if you'd like to wait for your order or enjoy your drink there. The woman working was also incredibly kind. When our half gallon was ready, she recommended portioning it out and freezing anything we wouldn't drink within three days so it would stay fresh. Good advice... except we ended up finishing the entire thing in two days! If you're a sugarcane juice fan and think all sugarcane juice tastes the same, Fresh Cane might change your mind. The difference between fresh and frozen cane is surprisingly noticeable, and this has easily become one of my favorite spots in SGV for a refreshing drink.
