I also work in healthcare and have seen Dermabond administered properly many times. Unfortunately, my experience with Carmelia Petch, PA, was completely different. During the application, her hands were noticeably shaky, and the Dermabond was applied messily, leaving purple adhesive across my thumb and hand while parts of the actual incision appeared inadequately covered. Very little of the adhesive was used, and I left feeling as though the wound itself had not been properly secured--the entire reason I came in. Given the location in Westlake and the appearance of such a beautiful, modern facility, I expected a much higher standard of care. The front desk staff was very nice, but I was incredibly disappointed with the treatment I received from this particular PA. It felt like a complete waste of my time and money, and I would not feel comfortable having her treat a similar injury again.

I walked in and was greeted. The person at the desk in the lobby told me to fill out a little piece of paper and then said they'd call me back when they were ready for me. I sat in the waiting area for about 10 minutes and then the phlebotomist called my name. He took me back to the area where they draw blood. I signed some paperwork and he explained a few things to me. Then he got ready for the blood draw. He did an excellent job. I didn't feel the needle prick and he did a really good job keeping me distracted by talking to me. The whole process was pretty quick. Overall Victory Medical did an excellent job. Getting an appointment using the texting system was convenient. The virtual meeting with my doctor was also convenient. The in person visit for bloodwork was fairly quick and smooth.

I love how quick the discharge process was -- they make it so simple for you. Shoutout to Colin and Sherry, they are the best nurses we have come across and that says a lot given we are in an ER every few months. They are very great at making you feel heard and overall just amazingly nice people. The best of the best. Dr. Wright was very knowledgeable and just as respectful/nice as the nurses. Dr. Wright spent the time with us that a lot of medical providers fail to do. He explained options, possible effects, and helped us with decision making. He never made us feel like he was in a rush. He listened and advised. Thank you for that. Overall, we were taken very good care of at Vik Complete Care and will certainly choose this location in the future. The care, concern and rapid…read moreresponse he showed when we brought our son in last summer made a huge difference in getting a (relatively) quick diagnosis. Our son came into the office last August with a limp (that I was assuming was scoliosis.) Ralph & his assistant/ nurse took everything very seriously from the get-go and managed to pull some strings to get him scheduled at 5 pm that same evening for an MRI to rule out tumors on the spine or brain. It was frightening to have everything scheduled so quickly, but we appreciated how seriously they took what was going on. I'll fast forward through the next three months of visits to various specialists; our son was poked, prodded, needled, shocked, etc. By early November, after a genetic test, we had a diagnosis of FHL-1, a neuropathy in the muscular dystrophy family. It's not an ideal diagnosis for a young man of 21... he will most likely lose his mobility over time. But, knowing what we're dealing with is helpful and allowed us to gather a care team for him; and looking at related myopathies, we know it could be worse. I myself have shown signs of FHL-1 for the last 15 years, as weakness in my left arm. But instead of the quick diagnosis that our son received, I was told in 2015 that I had ALS. Thank God that specialist was wrong! Yet even in the intervening years, I still had no clue what was going on. At no point did anyone consider a genetic test... until our son's test came back positive. Suddenly my symptoms made perfect sense. All of this to say... the seriousness with which Ralph Hadley and his team took our son's issue is much appreciated. You set us on a path to figure out exactly what was causing his limp- in 3 months instead of 15 years. We are grateful for the professional expertise and compassion shown us in the office. Would highly recommend Ralph Hadley & his team.

5/5 Experience at CareNow Urgent Care in Austin…read more While visiting Austin for a bachelorette trip, I had a bit of an unexpected accident at the lake. I accidentally kicked a (thankfully off) boat propeller while swimming and ended up with a pretty deep laceration on my right foot. As soon as I could, I made my way to CareNow Urgent Care; and I'm so grateful I did. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly helpful. The receptionist quickly got me checked in and even looked up my insurance from California. Although I'll need to submit the bill myself, they gave me all the information I needed to request an itemized receipt right away, which made the process much easier. Dr. Estela Mota Garcia took care of me, and she was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, attentive, and gentle throughout the procedure. She made sure my foot was completely numb before stitching it up. I was also given a tetanus shot since I wasn't up to date, and they prescribed me an antibiotic to pick up the same day; which gave me peace of mind as I continued my trip. No one wants to end up in urgent care, especially on vacation, but this visit was efficient, compassionate, and left me feeling genuinely cared for. Everyone from the front desk to the imaging area was so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. The nurses were thorough, professional, and caring. The radiology tech was one of the nicest people I've met in a minute! The doctor actually spoke to me like a real person. This was in stark contrast to the CareNow clinic I visited earlier in the day wherein the doc stared at his computer screen as he typed the whole time he was in the room with me. At Ally, the doc had a conversation and let me have a voice in my care plan. She actually seemed like she cared about what was going on with me even though we didn't really figure it out. She made she I was safe to go about life and try to figure it out with my pcp, which was all I needed. I had seen the Ally logo around but didn't know what it was. Now I know they are my emergency medicine ally! Hope I don't have to go back, but know I'll choose Ally over anywhere else if I do.
