Within 30 seconds, I'm not exaggerating, they had us in a room and were checking his vitals. We didn't even slow down walking. They had assessed him and gotten the story of the injury before even asking even our last name or for any paperwork or insurance info. He did NOT have any need for concussion protocol or treatment, as I tried to tell Bee Cave Urgent Care, and he only needed some stitches. But the staff at St. David's was respectful, competent, and thorough in their explanations. St. David's didn't even ask for insurance or ppwk until we were finished and the injury was sewn up. The staff there was excellent, and it was such a stark contrast to Bee Cave Urgent Care. We will never step foot into that facility again, and St. David's has a new family (with five active kids!) that are now devoted customers. Of course I haven't gotten a bill yet that will allow me to determine that part of it, but I do understand that it is an ER. However, I'd rather pay a bit more for great service and concern for the patient when compared to the disdain, skewed priorities, and lack of medical professionalism that we witnessed at Bee Cave Urgent Care. Anything after regular doctor's hours stinks and will be more expensive, but when in that situation again, St David's is the place we will choose.

He has had violent coughing fits for 6 days, some ending in vomiting, with clear mucus, and gasping for air, no fever or other symptoms. We informed Dr. Snyder of recent travel to the Big Island, where pertussis is circulating. Despite this, she refused to prescribe antibiotics. This contradicts CDC guidance for presumptive treatment and left my child and our community at risk. I told her we were switching pediatricians to someone near our home since his was almost 2 hours away so we needed something to start him on. Although the doctor was informed I was told to "follow up with one" or "go to a different hospital that does that kind of testing." No referral or concrete next step was offered. This represents not only a failure to act on clear CDC guidance, but also a failure to ensure appropriate continuity of care for a symptomatic, unvaccinated minor. While I can appreciate that she is a doctor that doesnt just throw antibiotics at children, this is a different case, and the fact that my son isn't vaccinated should have been treated more seriously. This would have been his second ever antibiotic but because we are with him and know this cough isnt normal we felt the antibiotic would be a smart choice. I called her again and she still refused. Requesting that we take him somewhere else, as if everyone can afford another doctor visit. I will be requesting an investigation into the clinical decision-making.

We have never been kept waiting for an appointment and most of our appointments are within a half hours drive from our home in Cedar Park. Every medical professional that we have seen has been very thorough in our examinations and the never rush us. Virtually every medical specialist that you will ever need is within the system and every doctor can see every medication that we take and every treatment that we are receiving through the network known as Mychart. I have come to believe that healthcare is driven by population, for example, Back in western Massachusetts (About the size of Austin). People are having trouble finding a family doctor. The one spine specialist has retired. For a specialist, you might need to drive to Boston (Admittedly not an unusual trip for Texans) . but From a state like Mass. that is supposed to be so sophisticated, the difference is glaring. First Visit: I had been dealing with a respiratory tract infection for almost 30 days and had already been treated by another community care center. Since I had a trip planned, I wanted to confirm whether I was still contagious. After completing my paperwork, I was called in quickly. The doctor reviewed my symptoms--fever that came and went, a bad cough, and throat discomfort. She checked my vitals, body temperature, and BP, which were all normal at that moment. Since I had already completed a round of antibiotics, she advised me to let my body fight the infection, reassuring me that I was no longer contagious. That was a relief, and I left Ally without being charged. Second Visit: After returning from my trip to California, I came back to Ally with a 103°F fever, severe body aches, extreme fatigue, and a baddd cough. This time, they ran every available test for infections and viruses, which confirmed that I had Influenza A, Influenza B, and COVID-19 and Respiratory Tract Infection. Unfortunately, since I had been sick for over a week, the doctor explained that antiviral medication wouldn't be effective. But they saw how severe my cough was, they prescribed an inhaler and cough medication to help manage my symptoms. I was charged $220 but that was in my best interest there are several other options which you can decide accordingly. What I appreciate most about Ally is that they are upfront about costs. Unlike other ERs that seem to prioritize billing over patient care, they inform you of pricing in advance, giving you the option to accept or decline services based on what's in your best interest. I honestly trust them more than my own physician at this point. I once took a friend to another ER where she tested positive for the flu. All they did was checked her vitals and BP before prescribing medication. Later she received a bill for $1,000. I was very ill at the time, so I do not have any pictures of Ally. However, I've attached a screenshot as proof of my visit.

We were taken to a room within 5 minutes and greeted by two nurses who immediately began consultation and setting up the IV. I love how quick the discharge process was -- they make it so simple for you. Shoutout to Colin and Sherry, they are the best nurses we have come across and that says a lot given we are in an ER every few months. They are very great at making you feel heard and overall just amazingly nice people. The best of the best. Dr. Wright was very knowledgeable and just as respectful/nice as the nurses. Dr. Wright spent the time with us that a lot of medical providers fail to do. He explained options, possible effects, and helped us with decision making. He never made us feel like he was in a rush. He listened and advised. Thank you for that. Overall, we were taken very good care of at Vik Complete Care and will certainly choose this location in the future. Questions can be directed by secure email and answers are ALWAYS prompt and on point. Accommodation has always been made by the friendly and helpful administrative staff to arrange quick access to Dr. Geyer and/or his staff when the medical need arises. After hours assistance is provided by an efficient "call back" system from a Premier Family Physicians M.A., with elevation to a Premier Family Physicians physician when necessary. In my case, a Friday night call for an apparent kidney-stone, resulted in a first-thing Saturday appointment with another terrific Premier Family Physicians doctor, saving me a trip to urgent care or an emergency room. In this time of deteriorating medical service quality, Dr. Geyer continues to provide outstandingly personal medical care, supported and unimpeded by Premier Family Physicians. My mother was brought to the ER after suffering from severe diarrhea for two weeks. At the time of…read moreadmission, she was extremely weak and unable to retain any liquids. Despite her visible dehydration and the difficulty staff had establishing an IV, she remained in the ER for approximately four hours without receiving any IV fluids. Before being discharged, she suffered a physical setback, yet she was still sent home. The following day, we were notified that she tested positive for C. diff. It is deeply concerning that a patient in her condition, with what turned out to be a serious infection, was brushed off and discharged while still thirsty and weak. We now have to wait several days to see her primary care physician for follow-up care that should have been initiated or supported by the emergency team. I am disappointed by the lack of effort and the dismissive attitude we encountered during this visit. I would appreciate a review of her case and an explanation as to why standard interventions, such as administering saline fluids, were not provided given her symptoms. We can do better for all patients.
