** GREAT ** FAST ** EXCELLENT SERVICE ** - VENTURA COUNTY…read moreCOMPUTERS WAS ABSOLUTELY GREAT!!!!! I'm in the neighborhood of the Mitec shop. I've been taking my computers there for 10 years because they were close. -- Last week I gave them a call on a Thursday, I was told I wouldn't even hear from a technician till "possibly" Monday at the earliest. As well they costs have always been significantly over the estimate. But like most people my computer is vital. SO I LOOKED AROUND! Wow am I glad I did. I will never go back to Mitec. So I drove my computer across town, and checked it in at VCC. I kid you not! -- Within an hour that same Thursday they called to tell me it was the motherboard going bad on my 8-9 year old computer. But I love my computer, right! How much. Over the phone they quoted $100 for the new motherboard and 200-250 for labor. Okay!!! Said I would get it back by early or mid week. Mind you this is the last two weeks before Christmas. So the mother board didn't come in till Thursday, which would have been sooner had it not been the busiest season at the PO. Got it back. Works perfect, nothing lost, everything as it was when it died. Get this... total service and parts were $270. Wow, fantastic. You know when you drop your computer off at Mitec... nice people and all but their is a giant wall separating you from the tech side, and you get the sinking feeling their going to hold your computer hostage. Not at VCC. Everything is there and you can see the projects their working on. There's even a sweet little Doxy who waddles out to greet you. They're friendly, understanding, trustworthy, fast and truly fair on price... What any business should aspire to being. Look no further. They're on Goodyear, worth the drive ! ***** VENTURA COUNTY COMPUTERS WAS and is ABSOLUTELY GREAT!!!!!

I DON'T KNOW HOW HE STAYS IN BUSINESS!!…read more Tim is terrible. First thing he did was wipe off his counter onto my legs, Slob!! Then he did not want to give me any paperwork stating I left my laptop with him. "OH no, when it's done it will be all typed out." Next he sprayed Windex on the outside of my laptop. From what I read, "Do not use household chemicals to clean laptop surface." What can I use to clean my laptop surface? Image result for using Windex to clean laptop surface? To clean your screen, use a screen cleaning wipe or a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. When necessary, you can dampen the cloth with one of the following: water, isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution 70% or less, or eyeglass cleaner. Never use glass cleaner or other chemical cleaners. Keep it out of the sun. He never quoted me a price to repair the laptop, just kept telling me, "It's basically electronic waste now.!" He was prepaid for the diagnosis.I had done an HP diagnosis my self prior to bringing it to his shop, It still turned on then. I could see the screen. It no longer does. I turned it over and noticed a bent plate, now U shaped instead of flat. I called him up and asked about it. He told me,"It's the memory plate, oh I must have forgotten to tighten down a screw." Who knows what else he did or didn't do. Now moisture and dirt can accumulate there. What an idiot, it's unethical, and negligent. Like taking your car to a bad mechanic. Ex. Oil change. "I forgot to tighten the oil filter. Engine blows. If I could put negative stars I would, It's like throwing money away to support Terrible Tim. I am very disappointed
