Because of a robbery at my store (downtown jersey city) I shopped around for security camera installers. I tried the Do-it-Yourself kits like Lorex but was not happy with the cheap wires and cameras they come with. Called contractors and they want ARM and a LEG asking 7000+ for a 8 camera commercial system with installation! Spoke to Milan at the Computer Guy and had them install an 8 channel High def system connected to an NVR. Not only did they give me a much better price ($2400 for hardware and labor plus 3 year warranty) they ran the lines invisibly and hooked it to my phones and tablets for remote viewing all within a day! I tried building a pc for the first time and had a little trouble with the wiring. I just couldn't figure out what the problem was so I ended up going into the computer guy. The man was very helpful, he was able to spot the mistake immediately and he fixed my mistakes, but while doing so he showed me exactly what was wrong and he explained the issue which gave me a better understanding. He was a very nice guy and he made my day a whole lot better by helping me with that issue. If I ever have any problems I will definitely come back here. read more

I had a terrible experience at Computer Guy Shop. I took my Dell laptop in to have the charger port replaced. After the repair, my laptop wouldn't charge at all. Additionally, the biometric system stopped working, and my PIN was no longer valid. When I returned to the shop to address these issues, the technician claimed it was a software problem and not related to the repair. However, everything was working perfectly before he worked on it. I do not recommend this shop to anyone. Avoid at all costs! read more

I had security cameras set up by The Computer Guy at my home in Bayonne. All work was done quick and thorough. They were able to accommodate my "custom" request to install 360 degree camera along with a regular 120 degree camera. They also helped me to install the App on my phone and went over a basic set up procedure in case I wanted to install the App on other devices. I had taken my computer to get diagnosed since it wasn't starting up. Diagnosed a faulty GPU after process of elimination. After diagnosis, I got a replacement GPU and he replaced it for free. Such a great and dexterous service and the owner was very understanding. Was up and back to gaming right away. My laptop crashed after years of good service. Turns out my hard drive was stained with dried soda or coffee. Not only did the Computer Guy clean up the entire mess, but put in new drivers and updated my Windows operating system... All for a very reasonable price and done within a week. Good company helped me with a hard drive that clicked and i was deperate to get inforrmation from it. after checking with other data recovery companies they were able to do diagnostic for free and recovered my documents with minimal cost.
