Hello long time reviewer. Dont really do these types of reviews but this guy deserves a special…read moreplace on yelp. Its odd to see 20, 5 stars reviews thinking to myself what kind of experience is really going on? Here was mine. Starting with the kicker. I actually DO THIS type of work but i was extremely busy at the time and sent my wife. First Text. Asking about prices. No response. Call. Asked about prices and guarantees. Quotes one price at around 120. Take the laptop in person. Sent my wife because i was busy. Relying on this one man. Sees she have a workstation laptop, raises the hell outta the price to 200. Since I sent my wife and she handed it over oblivious. She comes back says it was 200 to resolder a freaking pin? Let me tell you it will take this man 5 mins to finish this task if hes good. 15 if he takes his time. The parts are literally in the dollar amount. Talking about 15 dollars tops and that's generous. Whats actually wrong with Toronto is people like him taking advantage of young people, college students, older people, and non tech savvy people like my wife. This guy absolutely, unequivocally, ripped me and my wife off. Here i am a year later writing this while taking her same laptop for guess what? Repair. Goodluck!

I bought a monitor from the newmarket location. 2 days later my new Mac arrived so I was excited…read moreto start using it. After I had it plugged, I noticed right away the fine pixel lines throughout the screen. Is so bad that it makes the text looks garbled as in with small strikes across all the text. Prior to this Upgrade I had a 27 4k monitor, so I grabbed that same cable to be used for this 49 inch monitor. I thought maybe since the cable is 4k rated, i should probably but a 5-8k USBC-to-DP cable. So i did, but the quality did not improve. I open a support case with Samsung Canada and they had me troubleshoot the monitor. We connected a new computer, we unplugged all of the input cables which I only had one but even so, the fine pixel lines is uniform and it is more pronounced with black background or image. This causes strain on my eyes. So I called the store and I spoke a gentlemen who told me that he is more than happy to exchange it with the same model if it's defective. At this point, I asked if I could upgrade it to a much better monitor like LG or something. He told me that that is not the store policy. So I asked about a refund, he again insisted since it is an open product, there's no refund. So I'm basically stuck with a monitor which they will exchanged with the same model that I believe the monitor itself is defective or lack quality for a 1500 dollars monitor. The support should at at least be willing to offer a better monitor like an LG or something that will satisfy the customer. This is not the case with CanadaComputers so be aware when you're buying things from them.

Bad return policies…read more Bought an upgraded power supply and upgraded video card. I am very tech savvy. For the life of me the drivers would not install. The video card refused to work. There is no logical scenario I could come up with why it would not work. After several attempts I came to the conclusion that either my computer did not like that card, or the card did not like my computer. I took it back to the store. I had every intention to simply get my money back and purchase a new card in the store. Right away I was informed that there is a 10% restocking fee. It says nothing about this on the receipt. The person doing returns saw that I was about to lose it if they were going to try and steal $15 from me, when I hadn't even had the card for 24 hours. I didn't even want a different product, I wanted the same card. They've lost this customer for life.
