I was in need of a hard drive, so I called the store and asked if I could have a friend pick it up if I made a web order, the person said yes, as long as they can show my card and ID, I asked if a photo was okay, they again, said yes. Bad return policies. Bought an upgraded power supply and upgraded video card. I am very tech savvy. For the life of me the drivers would not install. The video card refused to work. There is no logical scenario I could come up with why it would not work. After several attempts I came to the conclusion that either my computer did not like that card, or the card did not like my computer. I took it back to the store. I had every intention to simply get my money back and purchase a new card in the store. Right away I was informed that there is a 10% restocking fee. It says nothing about this on the receipt.The person doing returns saw that I was about to lose it if they were going to try and steal $15 from me, when I hadn't even had the card for 24 hours. I bought a monitor from the newmarket location. 2 days later my new Mac arrived so I was excited to start using it. After I had it plugged, I noticed right away the fine pixel lines throughout the screen. Is so bad that it makes the text looks garbled as in with small strikes across all the text. Prior to this Upgrade I had a 27 4k monitor, so I grabbed that same cable to be used for this 49 inch monitor. I thought maybe since the cable is 4k rated, i should probably but a 5-8k USBC-to-DP cable. So i did, but the quality did not improve. I open a support case with Samsung Canada and they had me troubleshoot the monitor. We connected a new computer, we unplugged all of the input cables which I only had one but even so, the fine pixel lines is uniform and it is more pronounced with black background or image. This causes strain on my eyes. So I called the store and I spoke a gentlemen who told me that he is more than happy to exchange it with the same model if it's defective. At this point, I asked if I could upgrade it to a much better monitor like LG or something. He told me that that is not the store policy. So I asked about a refund, he again insisted since it is an open product, there's no refund. So I'm basically stuck with a monitor which they will exchanged with the same model that I believe the monitor itself is defective or lack quality for a 1500 dollars monitor. The support should at at least be willing to offer a better monitor like an LG or something that will satisfy the customer. This is not the case with CanadaComputers so be aware when you're buying things from them. read more

I cannot begin to describe my utter disappointment in the lack of customer service at this place. I purchased a new laptop from them and they were unwilling to even look at it to see if there was a problem without charging me for it. A NEW LAPTOP! I guess things would have been different if I purchased their overpriced extended warranty but even still there would have been a 3-5 day wait. The Acer Laptop in question was cutting in and out with its WIFI reception. The one good thing about the previous experience and why I purchased there was because of competitive pricing and I happened to find a good and knowledgeable sales person. From the attitude at the service desk, to the useless manager that had no words to describe there policy to me. In the end, I'd recommend purchasing a computer, software or accessories somewhere else even if you have to pay a few extra bucks. Went to pick up at the store, after 1.5 hour wait, they told me it was not in stock that my order was cancelled. After telling me this, they told me that I cannot change my order and must re-join the back of the queue. Major inconvenience, terrible service. If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is a waste of space and time. My boyfriend went in to purchase a laptop specifically for gaming. They took him over to a refurbished laptop and told him it would be a perfect gaming laptop. Got it home and it barely runs Skyrim on low settings. Eventually, it stopped working after 2 months (outside of their 15 day return policy BTW). Luckily he had a warranty under it and they ran diagnostics to find out the motherboard was fried. They sent it out for repairs and 2 months later he had to call them to find out when the laptop was ready. Surprise surprise they had his laptop in and hadn't called him. We go down to pick it up and after 15 minutes games freeze. Called the store up and of course, now that they pocketed 500.00 they won't do anything about it. They sold a paperweight. read more

Did not honour price for online order. I ordered four battery packs (five batteries in one strip). Picture and description indicated five batteries for the unit price. Took 2-3 weeks for it to arrive at Newmarket. What showed up was one two stripes with two batteries each. And they wanted the unit price for each battery. Called the head office as the store would not help. The head office agreed that it should be a pack of five for the unit price. After a few days, they said it was a mistake and were sorry but offered nothing. I said that they have to honour it. After a day, the rep called me back and said that they would honour the price and asked when I would show up. I said likely Monday. I was in the area on Saturday so I went in. They claimed that because I said I would be in Monday, they could no nothing on Saturday. It was ridiculous. A runaround process designed to get me to give up. So here is my review on the online process and inflexibility in the customer support process. Sad, this was always my default store. Ended up making purchase on Amazon. Two stars because rep did try to help, but unsatisfactory customer service at store level. Offer something online - have to honour it - poor excuses. Would have liked to have given a better rating and shown how the company came through. Sadly, no resolution so I am not going away and have reviews as my protest. read more

Totally disorganized. Telephoned them for a laptop battery that they showed 7 in stock. The person did not bother even checking if they had any, insisting they had enough. Of course when I was at the store they could find none out of the 7. Then they wanted me to go to another location that showed 10. Insted I asked them to get one for me ordered and they took down my name and number. No one ever called. I called again after 6 days and found the battery was in stock. You know how bad the business is when even the store manager is rude to you. Recently I bought phone case from Newmarket location rubber case with hard plastic over the top, after opening the case I notice the hard plastic was cracked so the next day I try to return or replace the product. Well guess what, the store manager after after examining the case for about ten minutes he come out with "I cant replace this this is physical damage you broke it" and I didn't have chance to place my phone on the case the case was already damaged. After exchanging few more words with him I left, so now I'm pissed at myself for spending thousand's of dollars over short few ears that I've been living in the area and all this for something that Canada computers probably paid $5.00 or less and marketed for $30.00 I know this cause I bought the same case online for $8.00 the next day. And yes I did call that same manager to thank him for opening my eyes basically telling me "NEVER TO GO SHOP IN CANADA COMPUTERS" read more
