Alright, I'm about to deliver a weird type of review for the Computer Doctors in St. Augustine. I never actually had any work done by the employees, however I feel it's fair to write a review based on my experience and recommend this place to anyone needing some software work on their compooters. I recently had an issue with a zip drive that contained some important files, so I had stopped in to see if they could help. They did all that they could, but it turns out it wasn't a software issue, but hardware failure in the zip drive itself. They recommended a local business in Jacksonville that could help me out and gave me all the information I would need to contact them. I really appreciated the fact that they made a legitimate effort to help me out, and when they couldn't, recommended someone who could, and didn't charge me for the time. On top of that- the employees there were SUPER friendly and seemed to know their stuff. Although they didn't solve my issue, I left with a smile on my face. Like I said- they seem to be more in tune with software issues here- your computer infected with viruses, or running slow, or maybe are you in need of small upgrade or some new programs? This is definitely the place to go. Stop in, ask some questions, they'll help you get where you need to be. Any other issues? They may not be able to help, but they can point you in the right direction. Like I said- they didn't actually fix my issue but helped me out, and I would definitely say if you had any other issues, they would be able to take care of you here. read more

I went in today looking for 4-pin adapter to get from Molex to jst plug types. I wasn't sure this existed, but it makes sense. She claimed no knowledge of anything like that. I showed her pictures of the two connectors. She started going on about different power outputs on each strand of the power loom and then I knew she just wanted me to bring my computer in and pay. I'll start by saying I've never been so angry at a business before. They're nice, but their customer service could use some work. This is the first and last time I'll be using this business, and you'd be better off taking your business elsewhere. Here's the story: My partner and I brought my PC into their shop - it was turning off fully within 10 minutes of booting. My partner has had nothing but good experiences with them, and since he's an IT professional, I agreed. They initially told us it was a fan issue and replaced the fan, charging us surprisingly little for the replacement. I brought it home on a Friday and booted it up that night. Once again, the PC fully shut down, but did last longer that time around. We brought the PC back that Monday, and they said they'd do an extensive investigation into the matter. As it turns out, the motherboard was having issues. No problem. They told us they'd order the same motherboard, install it, and let us know when it was done. One week passes, and we haven't heard anything. We call them, and they say the part still isn't in. No worries. Two weeks pass, and we haven't heard anything. We call them, and it goes to voicemail. To their credit, we did deal with Hurricane Ian later that week, and I wouldn't blame them if they took precautions and shut the store down early. Truly, I wouldn't. It's now the third week I've been without my PC. We've been calling endlessly, they haven't answered. We've left messages, they haven't been returned. I went there myself on a Wednesday, around 3:45 pm. Their hours are Monday-Friday, 9 am - 5 pm, so they should've been open. I try the door, and to my disbelief, it was locked. The people who work there are so incredibly nice. They've been nothing but kind to us (when we could actually get in contact with them). But this has really set the bar to a new low as far as customer service is concerned. read more

Sure, they can fix a computer, the customer service is a joke and they offer limited services, ex. They won't transfer software because they don't want to deal with registering devices. On the phone and in the office, they were abrupt and cold. I should have seen the signs... My computer wasn't powering on. I was given a quote of 24-48 hours for the computer to be looked at. The next day, I called to follow-up. I was told the computer would be looked at that morning. No word from anyone so I called Flickertronics and they offered to put eyes on it right away just because they consider "no power" an urgent matter (I didn't even mention Computer Doctors to them). I drove in that afternoon to take my computer to Flickertronics and the computer was sitting there, ready to go. No one had called. (I use my computer for work and I told them I was going out of town...) Icing on the cake: After my card was charged, he told me the computer powered on just fine but the battery had died and the computer was old. He just adjusted the cord a bit and it powered right up. 10 seconds of his time. No call. Full fee. Just poor customer service all around. read more

My computer had a broken screen and literally no other problems. The screen began to stop working so, about a week before my college finals began, I took my computer to computer doctors to have the screen fixed only. The first time I picked up my computer, the incorrect screen had been shoved on it and apparently the lady just ordered the wrong one?? So, when the correct screen came in, I brought my computer back to the store (keep in mind I am now in the middle of finals and forced to use my boyfriends computer) . When I returned about a week later, the lady 'fixing' my screen had somehow managed to wipe my entire computer including all of my apps, files, and windows programming. Let me know how replacing a screen turns into wiping the entire computer?? So, after I called to ask how this could have happened, I was greeted with an "I have no idea, that's so crazy". I reluctantly brought my computer back into the shop a THIRD time so the lady could fix whatever she fucked up and in conclusion, I took my touch screen laptop, that worked perfectly fine, into the shop have the screen replaced and I now have a laptop with no fan, no audio (somehow she fucked up the speakers too?) and no touch screen. DO NOT take your electronics to this place unless you want them to come back completely fucked. By the way thank you so much to the lady who ruined my computer, made me unbelievably stressed and scrambled during my finals, and is causing me to pay even more money to fix what she screwed up. Not prone to rave reviews, as I tend to distrust them as much as the next person... but a sudden issue with an important PC, and some unusual requirements about the mode of the repair, brought me to these folks. They performed as expected, were very pleasant to work with, put up with some additional requirements due to the security issues involving this PC, displayed studious attention to detail -- and then charged less than half what I expected (and was perfectly willing to pay). I'm way too often disappointed with the quality of work from too many small businesses these days, but Computer Doctors not only did their job, but helped me out of a jam with courtesy and professionalism. They'll get all our business from here on out... and have earned our honest appreciation for a job well done. read more

I brought my laptop here when I had problems with it. They told me a needed a new hardrive. Well I had replaced it months prior and it was under warranty and brought it to company who put it in. the gentleman that deals with linux there is top notch, super informative and nice. recently i called to set up an appointment and was too busy to drop off. i ended up fixing myself, was going to call and say thanks anyway when i noticed there were not many reviews on here for this great local company. i run a local business and i treat my customers the same as this shop. trustworthy, honest and not out to screw you over. meaning they want your repeat business. read more

I happened to call computer Doctors today about my laptop. The response from them over the phone, was bring it on in. Once there the owner acted like she was to busy to take literally five minutes to let me explain the issue. She jabbed at the power button on my computer in fustration and was grinding her teeth. Yikes! I would not recommend any business that treats potential customers with zero respect!!! read more
