I am a happy camper. After trying everything to fix my 2 year old Nexus 5 from shutting off randomly I went in and ordered a battery from Alex at Compupod. I took the phone in a few days later and he had the battery installed in about 15 minutes. The phone now holds a charge like new (even better than new thanks to the Google Marshmallow OS upgrade). Thank you and Happy Holidays! read more

My WiiU system crapped out on me and wouldn't take discs. I tried numerous tips I found online to fix it and nothing worked. I even contacted Nintendo and they've stopped taking this game system to be repaired. Compupod was the only local place I found that could do repairs and they fixed it!!! They changed out the disc drive and everything works great. I'm absolutely elated! They were totally professional and texted me pictures of my system and updated me on the progress. I was about to try to fix it myself, but am not so good with electronics so put my absolute trust in them. It was like leaving a beloved pet at the veterinarian - I play this system all the time and would've been devastated if it was unrepairable. The cost was reasonable and completely worth it. Highly recommend!!! read more

I went to get my iphone screen replaced after it had scratched. They did a good quick job, however later i noticed that the screen had not been placed properly over the phone and was jutting out at the bottom corner. It wasn't flush with the phone. I went back to them, they immediately acknowledged the issue and fixed it. Second time was the charm, and it was great. I appreciate the transparent billing and willingness to help and resolve the issue immediately. I would definitely go back and recommend to others. read more

This place is great fast and friendly service! My estimated wait time was over an hour but the technician Henry fixed it fairly quick. I was in a out in about 30 minutes! read more

android (pixel 2) screen fixed and the parts were in stock! only (?) place in town that could do it without ordering a new piece through the mail. friendly, possibly family owned and operated with a courteous staff despite people constantly buzzing around nervously with computer/cell phone problems. right on! read more

I recently bought a iPhone from them for the first time, had one minor issue but they're customer service and workers managed to make everything work out in the end. I was more than satisfied... Thank you Hugo! I definitely will be recommending your guys store!!!!! read more

This may be a good place or not but I called to ask how much to flash the OS on my android. Explained the steps I took with Samsung tech support and my service provider and was determined the android 7.0 was not updating on my Samsung galaxy s8 plus and cost to flash the OS. I was told need a wifi connection to update OS and diagnostic 90 dollars and charge to fix. Sorry but I won't stop into the store. I was going to check them out because of good Yelp reviews but n ok noooooo way now read more

I have taken 3 broken cell phones to Compupod after being told by the corporate manufacturers that my only recourse was to buy a new phone. EXCEPT Compupod came through ALL 3 TIMES. They saved me HUNDREDS of dollars and helped my blood pressure stay healthy. They do EXCELLENT work in a very TIMELY manner. It's so simple to do business with them. LOVE them. They have my trust 150%! read more

Very good service, very professional. I went in for a screen repair, the price was reasonable and the job was fast and impeccable. I mentioned that I saw them on yelp and offered me a special discount on any iPhone accessory. Would definitely recommend this place, I will be coming back whenever I need tech repair. read more

The stock accessories are great! I went to fix my phone that had been acting weird for a while and Hugo, the owner, and his team diagnosed it and fixed it while I grabbed a quick lunch at La Taza (that review is for another day). The whole neighborhood is great to walk around, but it is places like Compupod that really bring the magic to it. Hugo's kindness, helpfulness and affordability make you love la Misión. Pay them a visit and see for yourself :) read more

I came here a few months ago to get a shattered screen fixed. They did an awesome job fixing my phone! Life savers.

This is a great place to fix your phone. They answered all of my questions in a timely manner and were very accommodating. They ordered a new screen for my Google Pixel XL and had it shipped to their office. I had the option to one-day ship it for a fee but I chose not to, either way, it was at their HQ within a couple of days. I came in first thing Monday morning and they immediately got to work on my phone. Within 30 minutes I was back in a Lyft heading to work with a brand new screen and a working phone. Thank you guys! read more

Excellent in all respects: prices, customer service and attention to detail. These guys saved me $$$ by repairing my IPhone and also giving me a killer deal on amazing, genuine leather case. All in 20min, while I waited. Highly recommend. read more

Super fast and friendly, but the equipment used is cheap. Got my phone fixed here, and 2 days later a thick black line appeared vertically blocking half the screen accompanied by blueish discoloration of the screen. Took it back and paid another $40 for them to fix it, they said "the inside of the screen is broken, your fault". Dont know how you break the inside of a phone and have no cracks and no signs of ANY damage on the outside. Whatever, I paid and left, and then a few days later another black line appeared in the same place, and the upper volume button is stuck down. Took it in and they wanted me to pay full price. Again no visible damage whatsoever to the outside, no cracks at all! Even have a screen protector and case on. Super sad that I wasted over $100, when I originally chose this place because of the reasonable price :( DO NOT RECOMMEND read more

I needed an emergency repair on my Galaxy S9 screen. I only had an hour to have it fixed. They did it within that time frame and charged me $30 less than Samsung's official repair company (uBreakIFix). They use official Samsung parts; they shared their parts source with me. I would highly recommend Compupod. read more

What a life-saving place Compupod proved to be! My friend visiting from Cuba had a serious cell phone problem that required hours to erase and/or save data, repair the now wiped-clean phone and restore the photos. The tech expertise was impressive and the results appreciated. My friend's first day visiting in San Francisco was rescued from disaster by Compupod. read more

The screen to my iPhone 6s Plus was completely damaged and I left it like that for quite some time , then all of a sudden the phone would turn off and on and I wasn't so sure why so I went here on yelp and found Compupod , I came down to the store and they attended me really fast. Alex the technician Told me that my cracked screen is what damaged the battery and the pricing he gave me was very reasonable because I was fixing 2 things at once. I will be recommending my friends and family here , you guys do an excellent job keep up the great work read more

Excellent repair ready when promised. Friendly staff.

I've had two phones repaired and I've bought two other used phones here for family members. Excellent service. As a senior with limited tech knowledge, I appreciated the patient help of their very competent crew. read more

Quick and friendly service to fix my cracked screen. Finished when promised! I would definitely recommend.

I went into Compupod for a simple phone repair and left with the best experience. Rebeca was so sweet and helpful. I'll always remember her. Super cute too. read more

Hands down awesome. Cheapest price fastest service and great quality....hopefully I stop dropping my phone so I don't have to come back.

Good people, good work, good price. Done in an hour. Open sunday. Had the screen replaced on my iPhone 5. This was far better than doing it myself. Doing it myself cost almost as much, I also would have had to wait 4 days to get parts and tools and then actually do the work. Also better than an upgrade. I'd far rather pay these good people to fix something than pay my carrier $40 for the privilege of buying a new phone from them. read more

I damaged the volume button on my Samsung S6 phone due to putting my phone in my back pocket and it got bent. Most of the places that I contacted either didn't work on Samsung phones or were priced to high but I got a quick reply from Hugo through Yelp and the price was reasonable. I took my phone in and and didn't have to wait long. They had to order my part so I left my phone overnight (or you can take it home with you but you will have to pay up front to assure you are coming back). The phone was fixed next day. After getting home, I realized the new button was not connecting to the volume so I called and Hugo answered the phone and told me to bring it back in. They were able to fix the small issue within the hour and since it was under warranty I didn't have to pay again and now my phone is good as new. There were other customers waiting when I walked in both times but was assisted pretty fast. The employees speak both English and Spanish which is good. The street parking is metered and it can be full but then again it is Mission St. I was able to find parking both times right in front of the store. I would totally recommend coming here. Any issues in the future, I will be going back. Final comment I want to make is that Hugo followed up with an email to touch base to make sure my phone was working in order and it is....Thanks again Hugo. read more

I had them replace the broken screen on my Pixel 2XL. It was ready early, but when I got home one of the pixels was stuck on (there was a small cyan dot in the screen). I took it back a couple days later, and they replaced the screen again, this time for free and with an apology, even faster than the first time. It's been great ever since. read more

Did a great job replacing my iPhone screen. They did it for the quoted price, and it was ready at time promised. It's been a few months and the screen still works well. Will come again. read more

Very awesome customer service , always give me a good deal and fix my headphones very well . Sweet people too .

I needed my digitizer/LCD for my Samsung Galaxy S9 replaced along with both my back and front glass and after searching the city and calling 10 different places trying to find a place to do it same day, Compupod saved me! They had the part which usually needs to be ordered already on hand for a fair price compared to other places. It only took about an hour and my entirely broken phone was like brand new, along with a case for cheap! Thank you so much for saving my day! read more

These guys are great. Honest and fast. They fixed my phone screen for $40 instead of asking me to pay over twice that much to flat-out replace the screen. Really friendly too. read more

Cracked my phone screen, and this place gave (and honored) the best quote I could find in SF! They also were able to fix it in less than an hour, and were really kind throughout the whole thing. read more

I came to get a button on my IPhone fixed. Unfortunately, the first button did not work but they said that they would order a new one and my phone would be ready the next day. My phone screen cracked this AM. I sent out a few yelp quotes and Compupod answered immediately with two pricing options. I love that they can service different budgets! When I arrived, everyone was so friendly! I was coming from work so they accommodated a quick turnaround. They were able to fix my cracked screen in 45 minutes- might have been even a little less. I hope my phone screen doesn't crack again but if it does, I'll be visiting Compupod. read more

Great experience! I requested an online estimate on fixing my shattered screen. They replied pretty quickly. I went to the store. I left my phone there. I came back in one hour. It was perfectly fixed. What else can you ask for??? Thumbs up! read more

First off, I paid $170 to get my screen fixed. About a week later, my phone fell onto CARPET and the screen broke again. How nice that they gave me a discount for parts only ($90) considering whatever parts they initially used were junk. Now my battery will NOT charge. I don't know what they did or if I just have a shitty phone. iPhone Repair on 16th and Mission is the real deal. The only reason I came here was because they were open on a Sunday. read more

Ok, I don't think this place is terrible but I had a terrible experience there. The main problem is they have way too many people there who don't seem to know what they're doing. They need to train their staff and the first thing that they need to train them is to say "I don't know how to do this, let me refer you to someone who knows how." I bought an ipod there and it kept crashing my computer so a few hours later I returned it. The return didn't go through and I kept calling them for a week and spent about an hour on the phone with them. Finally they said they would refund me in cash if I came in. I rushed down there and they refunded me on the machine again. This time it went through but it took way too long. read more

Solid placs, manager is great and will get you the best deal and go above and beyond to help you out, great accessories

I wasn't told before the repair of my broken glass on iPhone 5s that they're going to install an aftermarket screen with the new glass. This one looks less saturated and a bit shittier in general. That's an upsetting part. read more

I went to Compupod because 1) the camera lens on my iPhone was scratched up, which caused bad pics and 2) it was closer than other stores. I was a bit weary when I walked up to Compupod because it's kind of a hole in the wall, but that pretty much describes at least 75% of establishments in the Mission. As soon as I walked in, someone greeted me and asked how they could help. I said I needed to replace the back of my phone because the lens was scratched up. He said it would cost $29 plus tax and would take 5 minutes. Almost as soon as I sat down to wait, the back of my phone was replaced. He gave me time to inspect the phone and everything looked perfect. I then went to Luna Park, took a crystal clear picture of my tuna poke, instagrammed that shit and drank a beer. Fuck yeah. read more
