On September 14, 2013 my computer crashed and I called Wayne Computer. He led me to believe that…read morehe was going to Staples anyway and wanted to know if I wanted him to pick up a computer and I said yes knowing he would get the 5% rewards ($31.50). What I wasn't told was that he was going to charge me $80.00 to do so and I didn't know it until he delivered the finished computer to my home. I was charged $709.99 for the computer (receipt shows $629.99), $110.00 install programs (most programs were already on the computer), $46.15 tax which he didn't pay because he is tax exempt, and 2.83% ($24.51) of the total because I had to use my Visa Card which per Visa's policy he is not allowed to do. It has to be a flat rate. This made the grand total $890.65 and this was for the tower only. I asked Wayne Computer for the receipt from Staples at the time of delivery and he informed me I couldn't have it. Then I saw the computer price in the first part of October was $549.99. I started e-mailing Wayne Computer because I wanted the receipt to see how much it really cost. When I contacted Staples that couldn't tell me if the computer went on sale with the 14 day time frame so that Wayne Computer could have even made more of a profit on me because they would have been able to receive the difference. Staples did say it went on sale the first week of October and had been going steadily since. Chances were that he did get some type of a refund back. I kept asking for the receipt again and he informed me I wasn't going to get it that it was his. Then it was because it was his and I had his invoice and that was all I needed. Then it was that his account numbers were on it and I informed him that I had a Staples receipt and only the last 4 digits showed. It dawned on me he was talking about his Staples Reward number (which one needs a password to get information on the rewards) and I told him to just black it out and send me the receipt and he keeps refusing and is now using the excuse that I wouldn't ask WalMart or Best Buy for the cost of the computer that they paid. This is not one and the same. He doesn't have a computer store and I told him it almost sounded like there was something that wasn't kosher and I wanted the receipt. My Visa card company said the receipt was mine and I ended up getting the receipt from the Staples Store which also shows a $30.00 coupon on the bottom. I estimate that he made a 50% profit ($80.00 overcharge on the computer, $46.15 in tax, $30.00 coupon, $31.50 in rewards money, $24.51 to use my Visa Card, and the $110.00) which is way too much and as far as I am concerned he committed fraud to do so and he thought I wouldn't catch on because I'm "old"! Wayne Computer can keep the $110.00 hourly rate for adding the shell program (but we all know it doesn't take an hour to download a program) the $30.00 coupon, the 5% rewards and $4.00 to use my Visa card but I want the rest of the money back in a money order. It is now December and this has been going on since October. We will see what happens. Small Claims Court could be in the picture next as I have already turned him into the BBB, the Ohio State Attorney General's Office, Angie's list and now Yelp.

Good audio gear repair shops in the Midwest are hard to come by, and excellent ones such as this…read moreare even more rare. Im so thankful I took my gear to them instead of shipping it off to an authorized tech in NYC. They saved me several hundred dollars and did great work in a timely manner. This was on a custom hand made dj mixer from Australia with no manual to reference mind you. The variety of different gear they are able to work on is staggering. After I found their entrance it was smooth sailing. They also back their work for 30 days so you really can't go wrong. Highly recommended.

I took in an home audio amp for repair. They had it nearly 2 months. Not one time in the entire…read moretime that they had it did they ever call me to give me any information. I would call them weekly and for the first month the response was we haven't gotten to it. Ok if work is ahead of me I accept that. because of my repeated calls I was told they would move me up on the list to have the tech make a diagnostic evaluation on it which never ever happened. Then after that it was BS about having to build some "special diagnostic software" to access the ethernet port on the back of the amplifier or equipment to make an assessment. they told me they couldn't get enough information from the manufacturer or off the Internet. I could except that for a repair are you telling me place that repairs amplifiers can't even do a general diagnostic evaluation on an amplifier for god sake?? Then finally after two months I called to just tell them I wanted to come pick up my amp and take it someplace else and their response was "we are out on the road for a week with the some band but we'll see if we can find anybody to let you in to the store so you can get your amplifier." what a joke this place is. They have no business whatsoever advertising home audio equipment repair. The only thing I got for my money was excuse after excuse about why they had done nothing and a bunch of BS. They could not even provide me a guess what might be wrong with it based upon a bench evaluation by one of their techs. It is really hard to find audio equipment repair shops nowadays as everything is disposable but I can tell you this, Pro Sound certainly isn't one of them! Stay away if you need stereo repair.
