Communication - so important in this area - and they texted me, kept me informed to make a plan. Then the guy that came to do the work - Bobby - texted and called me, and we touched base and he was able to arrive earlier (...I took the first time they said, knowing that I'd be in a meeting when he arrived regardless - this worked out SO much better). While the service was easy to sign up for, the staff was knowledgeable and the service technician thorough and professional I will not renew my contract because their pricing model now seems high compared to comparable providers. Recently a competitor came to my door and quoted me a price approximately 40% lower for exactly the same service. Why? Because 1st response priced their service on my home's square footage, including the basement while the competition priced based solely on the house footprint. We used first response after we ordered a headboard online and discovered it came with bed bugs. Everyone at first response was so helpful, especially at helping us schedule and in explaining the process of the heat treatment. There seem to be very few companies that use heat to kill bed bugs an this was important to us so that we didn't have to have someone come in multiple times an use pesticides all over our place. First response was pretty busy when we originally called, but we told them how desperate we were to get someone in quickly and they were able to get us in a day that someone else cancelled just a few days later. The actual heat treatment went very smooth as well. They showed up early in the day and I left for a few hours and came back to a bed bug free home. So many other places said they would have to come back multiple times, but with the heat treatment it was over in one day. We did have to spend a lot of time preparing and removing any items that could be damaged, but it was so worth it. Jay was very helpful and even called back that day and the next to check on us. We had a great experience with first response and would use them again, but no offense, we hope we never have this issue again:) read more

Great and effective service! I live next to the woods, and I had big problems: spiders in the basement, ants in the kitchen, and the final straw was when I found mouse droppings in my desk. In a drawer. The mice were in the desk I sit at every day. So far so good! Called 1st response due to a nasty smell in my guest bedroom. Jay, the company president, was able to come out faster than I was originally told on the phone. He was able to determine right away that it was a dead animal in the attic, and we went up there to try and find it. We found numerous new and old burrow holes, which means that I was the lucky recipient of mice in my attic! We weren't able to find the dead animal, but he assured me that the smell would go away in a couple days. After about 4 days, everything was back to normal. Jay was so thorough with the visit that I had him spray our whole house (including inside) on their platinum program. My wife had recently stepped over a tarantula sized wolf spider while walking in the basement, and I was tired of the constant centipedes. Jay came out today to deal with some roaches we started seeing, and he was very friendly and helpful. The process for the first application took about 45 minutes, maybe an hour. They used a bait that is safe for pets and children (which was very important for us), and their process is to come out and reapply 3 weeks after the first application to get any remaining bugs. Additionally, they have a 60-day agreement, so if the second application doesn't eliminate every bug, they will do another application free of charge. Hope we don't have to use that option, but glad to know it is there! Jay also recommended a couple of other options to help keep them out of the house once they are gone and starting all over again... and they don't just do bugs - they do mice, rats, squirrels, etc. Overall, I was very impressed and can recommend them highly! read more

We had encountered bed bugs in our new location and where not sure how we got them, I contacted 1st Response and made a time to meet with the tech Larry, it was confirmed they were there. He walked us threw all the steps which we fallowed to the "T". Scheduled the treatment day, all went well....we scheduled the fallow up and Larry said everything looked good. We were told if they returned they would come back out and repeat the treatment, well guess who came back? that's right Mr. Bed Bug and friends. I contacted Larry and told him what was up, said he was busy and would get back with me soon....about a week later he calls and says I can be there at 2 pm, shows up about 3:30 does his checking and says yes they are back. So he tells my wife have your husband call me to set up a time to redo the heat treatment, she says OK fine, then he wants to charge me $1200.00 to redo it. Whatever happened to standing behind your work, and why would I pay for another treatment when you didn't get it right the first time!!! read more
