After a rather large storm passed through, we found our kitchen SWARMING with ants. Happened in a span of less than five minutes. After discovering their points of entry, we got it under control. More or less. Because some ants seemed to be always around, we called Stryker. They were busy but were able to get to us about five days later. We dropped about $200 on the treatment. Most of the treatment was applied outside of the house. It was guaranteed to work for up to 60 days. I held off on submitting this review until I could confirm the problem was permanently solved. Rather expensive at 275 per treatment, but they do coat the entire house in pesticide. Left them for another company due to cost; they charged me $995 up front for a 1 year contract that only covered 6 months of work. I requested a quote thru Yelp for earwigs and got a message back immediately to call the office. I spoke with someone right away and was given a reasonable quote. They've been pretty busy so my service was completed about a week and a half out. The tech who came was pleasant and very helpful in answering questions I had. DO NOT USE FOR MICE!!! We called this company after seeing one mouse in the kitchen. Four weeks later the mouse is not gone and our finished attic has several mice. This company used a "poison" that was untouched by the animals. They also offer no guarantee on mice control. We spent several hundred dollars and got nothing but a second visit. I am very happy with the service I received from Stryker. I had caught a few mice in my apartment and was desperate for help! I was able to schedule an appointment a week after calling and the receptionist gave me quote before hanging up. The technician showed up exactly on time and she was very friendly, honest, and helpful. She did a thorough inspection of my apartment and concluded that the bait was not necessarily needed and provided additional options. She was even nice enough to show me products on Amazon she would recommend. She said if they are still a problem they would find a solution for me. I super appreciate a company that not only has reliable and friendly staff, but they are also very honest and transparent. I moved out of their service area by 8 miles and all I can say is that was huge mistake on my part and I miss them so much! the way they coat the house outside is what I believe makes all the difference. I cannot find another company as effective as them. Cons: Can't see any yet because the ants are vanishing fast. Review: The technician came out on time to my home with his truck carrying a large container of pesticide. I don't generally like to use chemicals but my ant problem had gotten out of control and due to my moms reaction to them, I had no choice. He laid bait inside my home and sprayed outside. The amount he sprayed was what impressed me. No dinky little backpack with a wilted hand sprayer attached. We had ants and needed someone to come out to take care of them. The other guys wanted us to commit to an annual contract, but Stryker Pest Control did not. We discussed our needs with them and they quoted us a price comparable or better to the other guys. Stryker came out the same week and treated our house inside and out. He came by for free to inspect the issue, and we ended up having a bird mite infestation, which some googling told me is both uncommon and extremely difficult to take care of. I had a problem with what I thought was squirrels in a wall, so I looked at a few companies and made a few calls. I was not happy with the way the conversations went with the companies I did call. So I looked online at a few companies and found really great reviews about Stryker Pest Control, so I also looked here and at the BBB and decided to call them. The lady on the phone was fantastic and knew what she was talking about, so we made an appointment for them to take care of this. The man that came out was in fact the owner of the company, and he had another person with him. They had looked the house over and he told me what I thought was a squirrel issue was in fact mice. He showed me in the basement where they had destroyed a rug I had rolled up and nested in it. There was nasty droppings all over the place after he pointed out everything to me. It's kind of funny how you can live in a house and not really know what is creeping around until someone opens your eyes. Mr. Addair placed rodent traps around and said he would like to return as a follow up because he thought the issue was more than one trip would solve. One week later they came back. I was not home to meet them, but my wife was. When I returned, I had plans on cleaning up all the droppings and paper they chewed up. To my surprise, Mr. Addair and his crew swept the entire basement and cleaned this up. This is the reason for my review. Three days after they had finished the job, the birds were again in our house and we called to have them come out again and they informed us that in addition to the 171 dollars we had already paid to them, they would be charging us an additional 75 dollars to complete the job they didnt finish in the first place. We had them out here to take care of mice. I had seen one dead in the basement, I did not remember to tell the technician about that. I expected he'd find it though when he went to check for evidence of where they had been. He was supposed to be inspecting. You would think a DEAD MOUSE would be noticed! NO! I found it again after they'd gone. A different team came out to pick up the traps and bait stations and they DID NOT PICK THEM UP! .
