The man behind the phone counter took my phone back to his secluded area behind a wall, and returned to me saying that the phone couldn't be used because it had a google email attached to it. I was specifically told by my friend that this was not true. I believe the phone salesman programmed a google account into my phone in hopes that I'd either give it to him since it didin't work, or buy new service from him. THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS.
