I cracked the screen of my iPhone 6, and a representative at Verizon recommended Smart Fix to get the screen replaced. I took my phone to Smart Fix on August 4th to get the screen replaced. My screen was replaced, but in the process of replacing the screen something was reconnected incorrectly, and my front and back camera of my iPhone are no longer functioning. The screen is black whenever I open the camera application. I know my camera was working properly even with the cracked screen and prior to the repair because I have pictures saved from both the front and back camera during the time my screen was cracked. I explained this to the employee at Smart Fix, and he said they needed to order a new part to fix it. I went back a week later to get the new part installed, and my camera still did not work. Once again, I was told that a different part would need to be purchased, and someone would give me a call when the part was in. This was 3 weeks ago. It has now been over a month since my initial screen replacement, and my camera is still not functioning. I have made phone calls, left voicemails, made several trips to both locations at Tuttle Mall and Polaris Mall and have yet to have the situation resolved or any solution offered to me by Smart Fix. The manager, Tez, that all the employees keep referencing has never contacted me, nor is he ever around when I stop by the store. To add insult to injury, Apple will not fix the camera issue because an outside third party has now performed services on the phone. This has been an extremely frustrating process, and Smart Fix has been very unprofessional throughout. I do not want to have to purchase a new phone or pay to have somebody else resolve the problem when the problem was caused by Smart Fix. Since the manager will not contact me, the only solution I could think of was to file a complaint with the BBB. I would pay the extra money and have Apple get it right the first time. read more

Absolutely do not go to the SmartFix in the Polaris Mall or the one in the Short North (downtown). I took my niece's iPhone and my iPad to get fixed at the Mall. They "fixed" the iPhone and it immediately stopped working when she got home. She couldn't use some of the letters on her keyboard. Unfotunately, she lives an hour away. Her grandfather brought her back to the mall and they told her that 1 in 40 screens are defective. They put another screen on it and a day later her screen was turning blue. They took my iPad on a Saturday and said it would be done by Thursday. I never heard from them. A week later I called out to the mall. The guy told me he would have to call his manger to see if it was fixed. I asked him if he had it and if he could at least confirm the new screen was on. He said he had it and the new screen was on and he would call me back. I called back a half hour later and he told me that the screen was replaced but it didn't work because 1 - 40 screens are defective and that they needed more time to get a new screen. I told him I was coming to get it and he then admitted he didn't have it at the mall, but it was really at the downtown store. I drove immediately to the downtown store where I got my iPad which still had the cracked screen and had never been taken out of the case. I asked to speak to the manager or the owner and the person at the downtown store refused to give me his name or tell me when I could meet him. When I demanded a manager's contact number he threatened to call the cops. I then called out to the mall where that person refused to give me contact information for a manager. I downloaded Yelp and set up a user and everything and this will probably be the only review I ever write with it. If you need anything fixed on your phone then don't go anywhere else but here! I've been here at least 7 times in the past year (always dropping my phone) Senai usually is who is working when I bring it over and he always remembers people who come to him to fix phones and that's nice and he's very good at it and always works really quickly. I've also been there when Ahmad has been working and he's just as much a pleasure to talk to! 5 stars, this place is great with fixing the things your phones and tablets need and they're very professional! read more

I visited Smartfix this morning to have my IPhone screen replaced. I was greeted by Blade who proceeded to replace the screen for $100.00. Blade was very professional and explained the replacement process. I never imagined how intricate this replacement would be. The parts and the screws are so incredibly tiny and so many that I was amazed at how easily he replaced it. It took Blade around 30 minutes to do it and my phone looks brand new! I came in - at the last minute - on a Sunday 9/24/17 after going to a competitor and also the Verizon store. The speaker was not working on my iPhone. Senai was professional, helpful, and truly went the extra mile - he stayed after the mall closed at 6 pm to help me with this problem.
