We are a small company with a handful of people in the office, but have a large warehouse for operations. I sent out bid requests to some other companies as well, but they were either slow to respond to were not interested in our book of business. For Lumari Tech, Omar was quick to respond and asked all the right questions to get a better understanding of our network needs and what we were looking to do. He was very professional throughout the correspondences and responsive. What I appreciated most during the proposal process was that he never tried to upsell or sell more equipment or features than what we needed. He identified what our business needs were and matched the equipment and setup accordingly. The costs provided on the proposal was very reasonable. Once the quote was approved, Omar and his team arrived on time for the date we agreed for installation and took care of everything without any issues. In fact, they identified some issues that were caused by some other vendors that worked on our office and brought it to our attention. They also identified that some of the items that were actually quoted where not needed, so at the end of the day, we ended up paying less than what was on the actual proposal. During this whole process, we discovered that Lumari Tech offers managed IT services which is something our company needs as we cannot justify the cost of having an in-house IT person to manage our network. We definitely plan to work with Lumari Tech in the near future to help beef up our cybersecurity, backup of data and explore cloud options to support our business IT needs. I wholeheartedly recommend them if you're looking to install, re-evaluate, or revamp your business IT needs. Thank you Omar for the excellent service provided!

He knows his stuff, and cares about the quality of his work--taking time to ensure everything is operating as it should and showing me how it works, etc. He was both efficient and thorough, and his rate was very reasonable. I highly recommend Omar, and we'll call him next time we need computer tech support.

First things first. Martian Computers is actually a computer manufacturer. They build their own…read morelaptops from components and sell them with warranty. In fact, they are very competitive to the "name" brand stuff you see and I highly recommend their products. Their secondary business is repairing laptops. Mostly for corporate folks which means that they will handle all the units for a business. That being said, they don't handle much walk-in traffic. However, they are one of the few places in Atlanta that you can take your own personal laptop for diagnosis and repair. Its a small shop. Usually staffed by 2-3 people including the owners. The Top Guy there has been jokingly called the Laptop Nazi (ala the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld fame). He is a very personable until the client isn't. Then he can be very adamant about having you leave his store and go elsewhere for service. Mind you, even when doing this, he is polite but quite firm: he does not tolerate rudeness in any form. He doesn't charge for initial diagnosis of laptop problems. And in many situations will even do so while you wait. Be warned thought that while diagnosis is cheap, laptop repair isn't. Repair usually means that they have to put it on a bench and open it up which can take a half hour easily. And time is money as the saying goes. If you have a DC plug on the back of your laptop that is broken, its a standard charge of $150 since they have to completely take apart the unit, then actually replace part of the motherboard and then put it all back together again. And of course verify that it works afterwards. Several hours work. The parts for that little journey is less than $20 just so you understand what you are paying for is the expertise and time. Martian Computer also does trade in value of broken laptops. Each one is about $50 assuming that the LCD screen and keyboard are intact. So if you have some moderately old units that are lying around then you can use that to help offset some of the charges. This is a place that still understands that service and honesty come first. He doesn't pull any punches in telling you what is wrong with your laptop and how much it will cost to fix it. He'll also give you options and professional advice on when its time to invest in fixing versus a new unit. I highly recommend him. Even if you don't actually do business with him, he is the best place around to get your unit diagnosed.
